I tried to make sure my mouth stayed firmly closed as I looked around the entryway. We were in a large foyer with dark, hardwood floors. The walls were a stark white with crown moldings and modern fixtures everywhere.
It looks spotless, and there were multiple doorways leading into other rooms or down hallways. A massive staircase led to the second story that had white railing going around the entire second floor so you could look down from anywhere and see the bottom floor.
The kids didn’t hide their amazement nearly as well as I did.
“Wow, this place is like a palace,” Flora said, smiling and probably imagining herself as a princess. She was really into those at the moment.
Andrew chuckled and looked at her fondly. “This is your new home, for now anyway.”
“Is there a pool?” Cody asked, then his cheeks turned red, and he looked at me. “Sorry, Mom.”
