Beggining of the end

Fear overtook her as the machine slaughtered and destroyed everything she knew. She was holding back tears, seeing the puddle of blood beneath her feet. The terrible sound of the chainsaw that seemed so far, yet she could tell it was getting closer by the second. She couldn't take it anymore, as she began crying and sobbing at such a volume that the machine surely heard her. Loud, metallic footsteps were slowly approaching. She was pulled out from her hiding spot underneath the remains of a table and met with an ungodly sight: Emotionless, glowing blue eyes, long farce hair and the chainsaw that replaced one of the creatures arms. She struggled out of the tight grasp with all her might, but it was pointless. If only she held it in a bit longer, she might have survived. But now, her fate was sealed. The chainsaw began buzzing at full force towards her flesh. Next thing she knew...a heavy, loud thud, as the machine collapses on the ground. It's head was cleanly cut off, and a man standing behind it, puting his sword back into its sheath.

Ryuu Reno was something of an extraordinary teenager. He was quite tall, had shining crimson eyes that reflected his gaze like a diamond, long, nicely cut blood-red hair that extended to his neck, and a nicely defined face that made him look hansome. His looks made him quite popular with girls, his logic and problem solving skills were far better than anyone in his generation, and his grades were beyond excellent. However, don't get the idea that his life was easy. It's obvious that his parents expected a lot from him due to how gifted he was. Ryuu's days mostly went by as he studied for competitions and took care of school club-related work. He barely studied for school, as he learned everything from class, and video games didn't really interest him that much. I mean, he won the Junior Global Math Competition at 9, representing Japan. After that, many more achievments followed, to the point an entire wall in his bedroom was dedicated to his trophies and medals. As much as his classmates and friends looked up to him, many were jelaous. One of them, however, was so jelaous of Ryuu that he wanted him dead.

As the school bell rang, most of the students had already left the school. Ryuu, being the president of the math club, stayed for another hour or two. As he was listing some of the famous math problems, someone opened the empty classroom. Thinking it is one of the club members, Ryuu rushed to the door to greet them. "Hey, you're early! When should we-" he couldn't complete his sentance due to a knife being stung deep into his abdomen. Blood started spilling out his mouth as he saw the face of a boy with dark brown hair, dark green eyes and thick, nerdy glasses. The boy, whose name he didn't know, pulled the knife out, just to begin stabbing Ryu repeatedly all over his stomach. He fell to the ground, blood spilling from his guts and mouth, his eyes being full of tears. "I'm dying.", he thought to himself, "Why am I dying? What did I do to deserve this end? Why now? Why here? Why? Why? Why?" But he never got the answer. His murderer left the scene as his body got cold and his soul left what remained of his corpse. Ryuu was dead.

"My, my, I didn't expect someone of your likes to turn up here.", a soft female voice spoke in a quiet tone. Ryuu opened his eyes. He found himself in a dark room that seemed like it neither had walls nor corners, nor an end for that matter. Trying to move his muscles turned out impossible, but he didn't feel any binds on him. Oddly enough, he also felt pretty calm, as if the whole situation didn't bother him at all. "I expected you to live much longer, Reno Ryuu.", the voice spoke again. "Who are you? Where am I?", Ryuu muttered. "It's with sorrow that I inform you that you have passed away, Mr. Reno. You can consider this an afterlife of some sort. Neither space nor time exist here, and this is where all souls ultimately go. As for myself, you can consider me somewhat of an angel. I'm the judge of the living beings that meet their demise in your universe." "Does that mean there are multiple universes with multiple judgement angels, then?" Ryuu asked. "Yes, that would be right." the voice confirmed. "You have lived a short life, and it ended in a rather tragic way." "Is it possible for you to bring me back?"

"Not in your universe, I'm afraid. But due to circumstances of your death, you're eligable for a reincarnation."

"What is the other option?" Ryuu was curious.

"Well, despite human beliefs, neither heaven nor hell exist. Your soul might be scrapped and re-used for other life forms."

Ryuu's face went pale from just the thought of that.

"Don't worry, I assure you it's not painful. We've done it a million times, quite literaly."

He still didn't wanna hear.

"I...guess I'm picking reincarnation then."

"Valid choice. I hope you'll be satisfied with your decision."

Suddenly, everything went to black for Ryuu. He felt as he was unconcious for hours, days, maybe years. When he did wake up, he found himself surrounded by a circle of strange men. They were all wearing a full set of armor made out of a shiny metal, their visors on their helmets were shaped like tridents, and they all had engravings of some kind of a serpent on their chests. "Stay right where you are!" shouted one of the men. "Scumbag! We should execute him right now!" shouted another. "Hey hey hey, I haven't done anything!", Ryu tried to defend himself. "Silence! Just being here is trespassing!" one of the men said. "Trespassing? I'm sorry but I don't even know where am I!"

"Don't act dumb! You couldn't have just woken up on property of his majesty, King Leurupus Zue Rygerenn!"

WHERE THE HELL DID THAT ANGEL SEND ME?!?!?!
