The strange Orphanage Mission part 2

*Squeakee... boom, the lightning and the closing door resonated together, sending shivers down your spine* As the heavy old wooden door finally closed after a lot of noise, you could barely hear the raging blizzard outside the orphanage... like there never was one. "Creepy in here, I-I think I regret coming inside... but I had to anyway, sooner or later, that is." After the doors were finally locked, the janitor stumbled slowly forward and took a torch out of its holder "Fo-Fo...llow me" he stuttered with his deep voice and, you could also say, dark-sounding voice, enough to make even the bravest man out there shiver. At least that's what went through Arthur's head while listening to the old man. *Step... step... and so on* "I know that he is old and all... but does he need to walk this slow? Mayb---"What was that, a shadow just passed by real fast?" Art turns his head slowly to the right and then to the left, but there is nothing and nobody besides him and the Janitor...

"Did I imagine it... was it even real... nohoo... I think my senses are playing a trick on me because I built my guard too well and high." They continue their way through the big corridor with its walls being made out of massive stone and hear some water leaking through the wall and falling down. *plop... plop...* "I w-will b-b-bring you t-o the Di...rector a-and ask f-for a ro-room... wh-ere you c-can tak...e shelter a-and sle-ep for the n-n-n...ight" said the janitor to Art while he was loat in his thoughts, thinking about the shadow that passed by extremely fast, or the strange and disgusting monster from before he entered the Whitedell Town.

"What is going on here, and what´s with the janitor... a person like him shouldn´t work at an orphanage where children should try and live happily. "Damn, why is this mission so difficult, and where d-!"Art rapidly put his left hand on the dagger and focused his aura into his eyes. This can act as a night vision buff and slow down the moving object. He wanted to pull out his dagger, but then he saw someone who didn't seem suspicious because of the books he was carrying in his hands.

"That's ou-r orph... ana-ages l-l-librar-ian An-thony," the janitor said, pointing with his long finger at the man standing in front of him, holding the books. "I guess I am not the only one awake at this hour, am I" said Anthony with a snarl and an arrogant, high-and-mighty-tone at the janitor. "Who is this Jack?" was the second thing that came out of the librarian's mouth. This time, his tone was full of curiosity. "I guess the janitor has a name too. *Yawn...* , phu I am really tired, maybe I should introduce myself. At the very least, the librarian is better than this creepy janitor right next to me. But I should still hide my identity because I don't think I can trust any of them. The next thing Arthur did was introduce himself " Good evening."

"Night, stranger, good night," Arthur, the librarian, corrected."... ahm... right... good night, my name is Ley, and I searched for shelter but nobody opened the door; only mister Jack, who is kind, let me inside, and we're on our way to the director, because I was told there is a room I'm allowed to use.""I don't think there are any issues with my introduction, that aside from describing Jack as kind despite his looks and over-all impression, I got quite the goosebumps on m-" Arthur was thrown out of his thoughts when the librarian grabbed him by his wrist and dragged him away. "I will take him to the director myself. You go back to your room, Jack!" The janitor smiled creepily, mixed with the light of the torch. It was so scary, that you wouldn't think of him as a human being. His smile was... inhuman... and the torche´s light faded away slowly... very slowly, together with the sound of stumbling steps.

On his way to the director's office, Art looked at the signs of the many rooms that were connected to that creepy hallway. *Cellar1, Cellar2, Swordmanship training room* "Wow... an orphanage with a swordmanship training room, interes- oohh... even a magic training room, now this is interesting." They walked further, and there was a wooden door that stood out from the others, it was covered with cuts, but some of them don´t look like it was from a sword... "What could have caused this scar like cuts in that door." As they passed by he could barely read what the room was called... *Punishment Room* *Lightning and thunder resonate in the hallway* "Why would they need a punishment room in an orphanage, I understand that you need to punish bad kids who beat up others and so on, but a punishment room... that´s suspicious... what... the heck happens in there?" ..." Art looked puzzled and questioned if this was really an orphanage, or... what else could it be... this has to be an orphanage... right?

Anthony knocked on a door that had the "Directors' Office* inscription on it. "Come in," a gentle and polite voice said, and then Anthony opened the door. "I hope nothing-" Anthony was forced out of his thoughts when the director asked what he needed. "How can I help you, Mr. Anthony?" "This young man here next to me, who is called Ley and is a wanderer, was caught off guard when the blizzard suddenly got stronger. Jack let him in to give him shelter. On the way here, I met them and took him here. " The director layed back on his chair, rubbing his chin while thinking. Art looked around the office. There were bookshelves to the right and left of the director built into the walls, with a lot of books about different topics.

In front of the principal, there was a massive wooden desk. It was huge, and on it were some folders, feather pens, papers, and documents a- ohh... there was a nametag on the desk which was inscripted with the name Goodwill. "So the director's name is Goodwill." Arthur thought to himself, "What an unusual name," while not changing his facial expression. "Since Jack let him in, give him room number 503 Anthony and you young m an Ley get some rest. The blizzard won't fade anytime soon, so you can take shelter for as long as you need. Have a good night," suggested the Director to Art "Thank you very much, Director Goodwill, I will take you up on the offer. "Good night" Arthur responded as politely and kind as he could followed by a bright smile and Anthony braught him to room 503 in a very quite night, without speaking a word. "I hope nothing happens to Ley," he thought while leading Ley (Art) to his room...

[The Next Day]

After finishing his breakfast, a lot of children wanted to get to know Art and play with him. "What's your name?" someone asked with a cute voice, a girl, maybe around ten years old. "My name is Ley." Art laughed and played with all the children. Some of them started to gossip about the janitor or librarian. "Do you know the janitor, Ley? He is a pervert who groped little girls..." "Not only that! He was also a convict who is said to have brutally killed his wife and daughter, where he got that big scar on his face from... and more of these stories came from the children. While hearing the rumors, Art remembered the feeling when he was walking next to the janitor; unease. There were also rumors that the janitor dragged kids away and the very next day they disappeared from the orphanage, like they became air. This one gave Art a big hint as to where he should start investigating, by watching over and spying on Jack. In the course of the day, Art spotted Jack secretly watching the children from afar. Once, he even tried to grab and drag away a little boy... but failed.

After Art had enough evidence, he wanted to go and tell Goodwill about it. *Is this really everything? Are you sure about it* a voice from inside his head spoke to him... Art turned around, shocked, but there was nobody near him who could have told him that. "What was this voice in my head?!... It sounded gentle and very powerful... What could it mean by telling me this?" Arthur returned to his room, going through everything he had gathered and wondering if maybe, just maybe, he had overlooked something important.

As he was lost deep in his own thoughts while laying on his bed, a sudden scream tore him out. Rapidly looking out the window, it was Jack who seemed to have lost his mind now... In a hurry, Art put his dagger around his waist while grabbing the sword and putting it in the dimensional storage of his necklace, and dashed down to the third floor and jumped down from a balcony. Right after Art's foot barely touched the ground, he dashed forward to see what happened to the janitor. Jack was shaking on the ground with his eyes rolling over and foam coming out of his mouth. He babbled something

"I did not do it... no... forgive me please! .... ahhhhh. not that thing.... on full moon, it will ascend from the depths of h-... ahhh... a monster and its creator... thy death wi-... Run! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!" *loud screaming and shaking* *faints* After Jack said all that, he fainted, looking very peaceful. As Art thought about his words, he unwillingly remembered the monster he encountered inside the forest while the blizzard was raging... A doctor and a few nurses were running towards the janitor. They injected a serum into the janitor's neck and carried him to the clinic. Surprisingly, Art wasn't allowed to get inside the clinic and had to leave. "Strange, very strange indeed..." he left...

[After a while]

Art was out in town wandering around and gathering information about Jack the janitor, but funny enough, everyone had the same opinion about him... A convict, a murderer, and so on... nobody, absolutely nobody, had something good to say about Jack. At the end, after he finished running errands, or so he thought, he saw a local blacksmith and went inside, not for information but to look around for weapons. As he entered, the voice of an elderly man greeted him, saying that he would soon close, Art nooded and went around looking for something, but didn't find anything... "too poorly made, too pricey, too unbalanced" and so on. After he found nothing for him, Art went to the old blacksmith to ask for a dagger pair.

The old man viewed Art from head to toe, his equipment, and so on. After gazing upon, Art went into a room *loud saerching noise, box falling, scrawling blades*, and after a few minutes, he came out with a nice old looking casket. He opened it and there were two daggers inside; one black with a purple gem and one dark silver with a blue gem... "Twin Birds, that´s what these daggers are called, I will sell them to you for ten silver pieces, pretty cheap. They are failed products, so please don't complain to me later. " Art gazed upon the daggers and bought them. Outside the store, he put them into his dimensional storage and headed towards the orphanage. Upon arriving, there was a huge crowd in the garden, and Art walked towards it... "Ohh... my God... what happened here while I was away?!" he thought as he saw Jack torn into pieces, dead and covered in scars...

Unknown: "It seems that Jack wasn't it, I need to be careful." A demon was born, terrifying as never before... What will ascend? I need to get ready. "
