Business trip

Cole leaned against the tree trunk with his eyes closed and blood pouring out from the small circular wound on his thigh.

Ryuu turned to leave bit Lian grabbed onto his wrist prompting him to turn around.

"We need to help him."

Ryuu's gaze turned cold," Help him?"

"Yes. We need to get him to a nearby hospital and have his wound checked."

Ryuu's eyes darted from Cole's limp body to Lian's hopeful face for a while and he shrugged.

Cole stirred and slowly opened his eyes. The fresh scent of antiseptic and cleaning chemicals hit his nose, he stared at the ceiling until his blurry vision cleared.

From the corner of the room, a soft voice spoke up," How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?"

Cole could tell from the voice that Lian was with him. Lian walked towards the bed and studied his confused face. One second he was hiding in some bushes and the next he was lying in a hospital bed, of course he'd be confused.
