Escape

A loud gunshot came from were Kiara and Chi had went. Lake carried the child with him and ran behind Sky and Akai.

They made their way to where Kiara was, passing by the school's auditorium. These hallways had more claw marks than dead bodies. It seems like more monsters were here than the other side.

They looked at all directions from where they stood. Akai noticed, the fire hose has been cut through by something. There could be only one possibility; it was done by the monsters with claws that cut metal.

"I bet the monster's claws are what are more dangerous" said Akai

"Where should we go now?" asked Sky

"To the direction from where the gunshot was hard" said Akai

"BANG!! BANG!!"

"Let's go their over there"

"Who brought a gun, besides you?" asked Sky

"My buddy, off course" she laughed "let us hurry now"

She asked herself as to why her heart was biting so fast, it didn't feel like fear but from something unusual, it was 'excitement'. They went left, right and up.

There they found Chi and Kiara and the rest were surrounded by not one but three of those monsters and behind them were many other survivors. Akai ran forward with her sword and the two followed behind.

"I am here!"

Akai jumped high and slashed one of the heads; her moves were very quick and precise.

The other two were taken care of by Chi, Sky, Semai and Lake, and the final blow was taken by Kiara. She shot their heads with her gun. She too was covered in blood but like friend she smiled big.

"You made it" Kiara said with hint of relief.

"I told you I will, I keep my promises, ya know" Akai said confidently "let's go shall we"

"Hey you're using it now"

"Off course, at times like these I have to use it" showing her sword which forged carefully by hand, with delicately designed long blade, it was a 'Japanese katana'.

Akai is a big fan of japan and its culture so her three friends decided to gift a real katana on her last birthday. She never got to take home or use it, until now.

"I didn't know it will this strong, though" Kiara folded her arms "how unusual"

"Thanks again, all three of you" Akai said

"Sorry to break you reunion, but we gotta go" Samei said while pointing at the back.

"Follow the plan, no changes" she said

"I didn't know you fight like, Akai" Marc asked eagerly

"I didn't KNOW MYSELF, Hahaha….", Akai said with surprise "alright no more talking lets go" she paused and turned towards Chi "hah! Look who needed saving now" she mocked him.

"Humans make mistakes sometimes" he avoided her eyes and she laughed at him hard.

"Did you get everyone in this section?" asked Akai

"Neh, the classes near the teacher's staffroom wasn't checked" said Kiara

"You mean the senior's section; they must be in the labs. Then we should head there but first we need to split up here again"

"Can't we go together this time" asked Kiara

"It's dangerous, like someone here said" she eyed Chi, who was still not making any eye contact with her "I will explain later. Let's head to the labs now" said Akai

"Then this time I am coming with you" said Kiara

"This time, we both are enough to kill them all", Akai smiled confidently

"You boys wait here and protect them. I and Kiara will come back with the seniors", said Akai

"Let us come with you, the more people the more it gets easy" Semai said

"No that, it's because you people are strong enough to defeat them and at the same time protect them. On the other hand I and Kiara are strong enough to stand on our own", Akai reasoned with them, "and don't worry about us we will come back right after we finish the rescuing, it won't take long. Just wait here for some time that's all." She assured them proudly.

"Alright, we trust you" said Semai

"Did you just start to trust me now?" asked Akai with disgusted face

"What's with the weird reaction?" asked Marc

"It's the reaction of disappointment that's all" Akai answered

"For what?" asked Marc.

"Aii, leave it. Now we should go, be careful you people." She said

"You should be careful too Akai" Kiara pointed at her

"Hey what do you mean?" Akai raised her eye brows.

"You know exactly what I mean"

"I will be fine, no trouble at all"

"Are you sure? I don't trust you in this matter"

"Even so, you know I'll never quit" she smiled softly

"What am I even arguing for?" Kiara gave up and argued no further

"Oh guys. Do take care of the Kid Lake's carrying, she might cry loud"

Saying those words Akai and Kiara dashed into the labs hallway. In the biology lab they saw some seniors inside, hiding under the tables.

Kiara opened the door and asked them to come out, and that they were going to be fine. A boy stood up and came towards her and the others followed behind him.

Meanwhile Akai went to chemistry lab and brought the others. There was something unusual among the lab students, they seemed very less. Some students were missing.

She asked about the missing and they told the same story about, of vanishing into the light.

"Why did they just disappear? Hope their doing alright. God please protect my parents, I beg you please"

Akai prayed for her dear parents. After the successful rescue of their seniors the big group made their way to the main gate while killing all the monsters that came in their way.

But this time they helped by the seniors who were even more dangerously braver and stronger.

"I didn't know in our last year of school we had fight for our survival", a senior boy with blood covered hands said, "but gotta say, who got these ideas of making killing tools"

"It's her she made them" Kiara pointed at Akai.

Akai stood there smiling awkwardly.

"I am scared of you now" he said

"Stop making her, feel like she did something wrong, Roy" a girl stepped forward smiling "give us more of these weapons and we'll kill more insects"

"Alright, I am sorry I was just joking. These ideas are really great at times like these, oh and my name is Roy from 12th" Roy introduced himself

"Razia from 12th too, let's get out of here now" she said

"Yes" Akai said. Talk about over confidence, they are badasses. Razia was the one who ripped off the hands of one of them with her bare hands at that.

They are the real beasts here. This year's seniors were at the top of the school. Now they will all work together in this ordeal.

"Lead the way"

"We are already outside, I'll tell our next step", said Akai feeling confident for the first time.

All of them listened very carefully. Akai seemed very natural with her plans like she knew what was coming after; no one questioned her as they had no better ideas and flawless one like hers. Some just gave her some extra details.

"Where do you cook up these solutions?" asked Sky.

"In my head", she replied, "with the help of God himself"

While everyone gathered around the corridor in circle to hear her. A boy from back heard something, he heard someone in the dark end of the hallway. He tried to ask others for help but no one listened as they were all busy with Akai, he was scared but still went forward because he had seen how his seniors were so courageous.

He went nearer and nearer to the sound, and the sound became even clearer, the voice of someone he knew. He recognized it as his little sister's sweet singing.

"Mia, I am coming wait for me. Big brother is coming"

He ran towards her in the hallway and took a sharp turn.

"Mia I am here….." his voice trailed off as soon as what he saw there

A huge beast, which almost covered any small gap to pass through, it was similar to those mantas monster but it was rather scarier, it was red with horns big as its head and had more hands, six hands in fact, holding clubs instead of clawed limbs.

Moreover the boy's little sister was nowhere to be found, it turned out the that monster had mimicked his sister's singing voice, the creature smiled eerily as if it was mocking him for falling for a known trick.

No sooner when he was front of the creature, three clubs swung at him. He closed his eyes shut for blast but nothing happened, no pain no blood. He opened one eye to take a peek; he was in Kiara's arms, who, was on the run from the beast.

"What are you doing here boy? Whole group moved ahead, why weren't you with them?" She asked.

"I am sorry. I just heard my sister so …I-I just went" said the boy crying in her sleeves "I saw that you all were so b-brave a-and I-I too.."

"Great job searching for her but never go alone" she smiled at him "Alright hang on tight" she to the threat behind her "….come at me, ya damn shit"

Kiara shot at it, the red creature giggled, its smile reached its ears; long snake like tongue lolled out of its mouth.

"ehee-hehe- p-pp- pl-a..plaY"

"It can talk" Kiara thought

"Come at me, ya ugly bastard"

Kiara mocked the creature, to get its attention. She was prepared to run when it started to giggle creepily. This made Kiara angry that she shot a second bullet at it again but this time, in its head.

The crescent smile on its face turned upside down; it was furious. The bullet has just scratched its surface. Kiara looked satisfied with the reaction.

"Now are going to come at me?" she smirked at it

"GAAAAAHHR!!!"

Terrible roar; it finally started to move. Kiara carried the boy in her back and ran straight to the reception, by passing the corridor from which the others left. She saw Akai, waiting in the distance and she looked pale.

Their eyes met for a second but it felt like hours. But it was enough for Kiara to mouth 'kill it, my bullets were didn't scratch'.

"Bring it back here within five minutes" Akai shouted.

"Awesome"

The next second the monster came in the view. Because Akai shouted aloud, the monster had seen her. It almost changed its course to towards her but Kiara shot at it, distracting it from Akai.

It roared even louder and this time it dashed towards her with full speed. Kiara too, got serious and ran as fast as a cheetah.

Well she was the best runner in the whole school and the winner of many races. Both Kiara and the monster disappeared in the long dark hallway. By then Akai ran like the wind to the chemistry lab.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it. Gotta be quick, one minute has already past. I need find all the gas cylinders faaast"

Ravaging under the lab tables and taking out the gas cylinders one by one, carefully cutting the tubes and using them to tie them together like a necklace. She hanged them outside the window. The time was ticking, but Akai managed to finish making the tarp.

"One minute left, she must be on her way now" she hanged the mini gas cylinders to the window panel with wires "When the mantas comes in the eyesight and closer to the lab, I will cut the wires. As soon as the necklace wraps around it, I will throw licking cylinder and then throw a lighter to blast it along with the others and the mantas is blasted. Its skin is tough that even the bullets can't harm it. If plan-A doesn't work plan-B will. If god wishes it will receive 50% damage from plan-A and the rest will do with plan-B's 'ACID', I will pour down hydrochloric acid. And if that doesn't plan-C."

By then Kiara reached the point, holding the boy in her back tightly. One would think someone who was chased by monster would be breathless by now but Kiara was not, looked as if she could run like that for hours without getting tired.

"Over here!!" Akai waved at Kiara.

Kiara took a sharp turn to the right, sliding in the ground with her hand. The monster followed behind her, out of control; waving its clubs everywhere, destroying the surrounding. More importantly it looked twice as big as before.

"It's so big." She said "KIARA!!! Hang this around it and run, can you do that?"

"You bet I can!!"

"Great! Climb the net after you get close to me. Jump with this"

Akai pointed at the 'gas necklace' "aerial attack!"

"Got it"

Kiara did as told. She went near where the gas necklace was, climbed the net almost reaching second floor. Just then she jumped backwards to reach the necklace faster, Akai too made effort and swung the heavy gas necklace to her.

"Got it" she got hold of the 'gas necklace' then told the kid "hold on tight kid"

Below her was the monster wailing with its clubs and breaking and tearing the steel net. Meanwhile Akai kept looking down, ready with the next gas cylinder and the lighter that any moment now Kiara will finish the job and run but time seems to go slower than before so she prayed to God for all might go well.

"But I trust her, Kiara is dangerously fast" she smiled

One of the clubs was about to hit Kiara from her left as she was falling but she swiftly dodged it, not from luck it's her skill. She kept dodging all of them left, right, up, down. Moreover she was also tying the necklace around the monster. The mantas did not stop wailing.

"Good, now run! Kiara, run" said Akai.

"On it"

"I I – ki-ki ill yu-u"

"It can talk?" asked Akai in shock.

"I know right, its weird" replied Kiara.

Kiara was hiding behind the mantis's back to avoid the clubs. She smiled mischievously then took out her second gun and pointed it in the monster's eye.

"Cry for your mom, bastard" she said "how dare you mock a child?"

After that she shot in its eyes, the being roared in pain, aimlessly waving the clubs even faster and harder. Kiara, by then she started to run away from it. Akai quickly let the gas lick and threw it down where the monster was in rampage, on top that she threw the lighter. As she turned around to hide; there was someone behind her. That person looked unusual, covered from head to toe in dark purple colored armor.

"Listen, man… Duck!!" Akai warned the person, not caring about, who he was or where he came from.

But he didn't move, he was there was there standing and watching Akai as she ran towards him "Common, duck!" she said again.

"BOOM"

"Damn it, it won't be long for the next blast" she thought looking behind her "please, get down or you'll get hur-.."

"BOOOOOOOOOM"

Before she could finish her sentence, the window's glass shattered and the shards flew all over the room like bullets, it was followed by strong force of wind which made it worst. Akai was lying on the floor, covering her face and head with her left hand while she kept tight grip on the stranger's foot with her right hand. The wind was so strong that even the heavy lab tables started moving. .

On the other hand Kiara ran far but not far enough to avoid the crushing shockwave of the explosion, she fell hard on the ground; covering the little boy in her arms. Even others who almost reached the bus heard it. They couldn't help but go back to help them.

"Razia, we must go. They might need help" said Roy

"Yes, common everyone, we must help" said Razia

"You boys, go on ahead. We will come back with them" said Roy to the younger boys.

"YES!!" Everyone replied together.

El was standing outside clenching his backpack, worried about his sister who is still in there, inside the school campus. His friend, Yassin, tapped on his shoulder.

"Your sister is scary when she is mad, so she'll be alright. Physically she is heck strong; she beat the crap out of me last time. Better not be worried about that gal" he smiled "I will be proud to have such an older sister like that"

"Not really" said El "but will regret of ever having her as your sister"

"Oh, yeah? We'll see about that later" he said confidently "we'd better get on the bus or there won't be any seats left"

"Yeah" El agreed.

El was ready to go now but before that he took one glance at the school and got on the bus along with Yassin. Razia and her classmates rushed to the school where, on the way they found Kiara on the ground with scratches all over her body.

"Hey, you okay? What happened?" asked Razia with concerned face "maybe she is hurt badly, lets take her back"

"she must have got hurt due to the explosion" said Roy.

Everyone surrounded Kiara, worrying about her. She didn't response nor did she move an inch. They went closer and closer to her until Kiara started making weird sounds and she crawled up herself tighter. Everyone got worried even more now, what happened to her? Is she okay? Razia looked around and found no sign of Akai, what was that explosion?

"Boo"

Kiara jumped in the air and causing them to fall on their backs, they almost got heart attack from that.

"You damn girl, you are insane" Roy said angrily "you throw like this joke at times like this"

"Muhahha ha" Kiara laughed itching her nose "it was worth seeing your faces ahhaah"

"Hey where is your other friend?" asked Razia.

"Other friend" she said "oh! Kai. Don't worry she is fine. And take care of this boy here, he fainted from the explosion"

Kiara explained what had happened and how they managed to blast the monster to shreds yet it felt like she was boasting about herself. Meanwhile Akai was standing near the broken lab window with expressionless face.

"That damn mutt, she forgot about me", she said, then turned around and asked stranger, "so what are you mister?"

Earlier, halfway through the explosion this person protected her from any harm.

"No idea how but when he lifted his right hand forward, suddenly, a bluish translucent barrier appeared front of us. It completely blocked the explosion shockwaves. No idea whether he was protecting me or himself" Akai thought while staring at him emotion less, "who is he? His armor is beautiful though, exquisite, yet old fashioned. Decorated with rubies and sapphires, the person looks unnaturally tall and huge from wearing such heavy armor, a big long sword on his back. It does not have any sheath to cover the blade and mini daggers were hanged on his belt on the left side"

The stranger walked towards Akai and stopped front of her and stared down at her. Akai felt strange so asked whether he needed anything, he replied by turning his head towards her right hand which she hid behind her back.

"Oh this" Akai lifted her right hand near her face. She received the cut when grabbing the strange man's foot, it happened due to the sharp edge of his armor "Don't worry about it. It will be fine after I use first aid on it, besides the bleeding will stop anyway!"

He kept staring at her as though it was very obvious that she was lying about it. He stretched out his hand, demanding that she show it right now.

"Please, no" she said politely "why? I am fine"

Akai refused to give up, and so was the stranger, 10 seconds went by, 15 seconds went by and still she looked at the other side. She tried looking here and there, tried changing the subject and all, but didn't work; that man won't even budge at all, as if he was a statue.

Akai had to give up anyway because of her responsible and kind personality, for she couldn't make anyone wait for her nor waste their time because of her. That is why she finally kept her hand on his cold gantlet; even with slight touch of her fingers she could feel that it was very strong and thick.

"Now what will you do? Treat the wound?" she inquired with a smile "How will you do it?"

Purplish black flame emerged from the stranger's hand and covered Akai's hand. Just she was about take her hand away from the fire but he didn't let her move away.

Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets and her smirking smile turned into upside down crescent moon. What is this flame and what is it doing to her hand, so many questions.

After that the black flames slowly started to disappear from both their hands. The next thing she saw made her jaw drop, she was frozen for some seconds; the wound on her right hand completely vanished it's as if it didn't even exists there.

She thoroughly inspected her hand, pinching and scratching. But to no avail there was not even a scare left, it was good as new.

"What was that? What was that, huh?" she asked him shockingly "what did you just do? How did it just disappear like that? What are you?"

He stayed quiet; Akai ignored his silence and went on.

"Shit! there's only one word coming too mind now, Damn it. It's stupid but that only makes sense, yes! Only that" Akai mumbled for some time and then she suddenly looked up at the stranger "its magic!! Right?" she asked him excitedly.

Before she could say anything else some called akai from outside the window.

"AKAI, you there" Kiara was the one who was so calling her loudly to the point it echoed in the whole school.

"What are you doing screaming like that?" akai too shouted at her.

"Look at this baby here", said Kiara while playing kicking something like a football. In fact it wasn't any ball; it was the decapitated head of the monster. Kiara was playing with it like a football.

"Eww, what are you doing? Put that thing down right now" Akai was very disgusted by seeing what Kiara was doing.

"Fix your face Akai" said Kiara "I will play with it bit more" she smiled coldly at the head.

"You fix your brain first" Akai replied back "don't let your instincts get out"

When Akai looked below the window, it was a mess down there; the explosion blasted the monster into smithereens. Big chunks of flesh scattered everywhere and some got stuck on the metal net which was on the opposite side of her.

Green fluid which seems to be the blood the monster almost reached the second floor. The monster's limbs where one to the right, one to the left, two 'o' clock, three 'o' clock.

But Akai didn't seem to have eunuch of pity for it, as her eyes only went the clubs that the monster left. They were beautiful, tempting and heavy, which made her more excited, that she unknowingly smiled.

On the corner of her she saw Razia and Roy retreating to the bus while carrying a little boy with them, she immediately got an exciting Idea for them. She asked Kiara to call them back and collect all the six clubs left by the dead monster, all of them did as told by Akai only after they finished complaining.

Kiara gave her knowing look like she could read her silly mind and Akai just ignored her. After that everyone was prepared to go to the bus. Akai turned to the mysterious stranger and asked him if he could accompany them, but the stranger shook his head.

"Oh, you can hear me" she said in amazement "I thought you were deaf and can't talk either"

The stranger did not reply which made her awkward.

"I am sorry" Akai said awkwardly "really didn't mean to, so please don't take too seriously"

And again he did not reply.

"Besides I will be leaving with my buddies down there. If you don't mind can you come with us because there might be more of those, so we can't fight them off all by ourselves and since you are very strong, will you?" she explained herself and wanted an answer 'yes'.

The moment she finished her sentence, she was standing beside Kiara who looked very perplexed. Akai looked around by only moving her eyes very fast, completely ignoring Kiara; Akai slowly looked at the lab window.

The mysterious stranger was there watching her, after that he went inside but never came out came out. Akai somehow knew that it was because of him that she was there.

She was even more curious to know who he was, where he came from or what he was, as for now that wasn't important for she had a mission to take everyone home.

"What was that? Akai" asked Kiara in disbelief.

"I got no idea. I tell you everything in detail later, okay" she said "let's go now"

"Alright then" Kiara agreed.

Both made their way to school's third gate. Happy being able to survive this long, they fought for life and death here. Both looked at each other and smiled like they are about to kill the devil himself.

"You scared of 'Death'?" asked Kiara.

"You know I am not" said Akai while looking into Kiara's eyes. "That's why I am still alive, you?"

"I am fresh. I want more" said Kiara confidently.

"O yeah, we'll see about that"

"I gotta call dad though" said Kiara

"You got your phone?"

"No, I kept it home haa" Kiara sighed.

Kiara looked front and said "hey, look, look"

"What?"

"We can race"

"Seriously"

"Yep"

"I don't wanna"

"Common, please" Kiara asked with puppy dog eyes, which glimmered.

"Fine" she agreed in defeat.

Five feet away from the main gate, they got ready to run; they took their posse and took a deep breath. They were serious too because both were rivals in sports. Akai is good with physical strength and Kiara good at speed.

"Get, set" said Akai.

Energy rushed through their body that was applied in their legs. Eyes which had one target, which was the bus's door.

"Go!" Akai said shouted.

Kiara, second later she 10 feet away from Akai and she just kept running like she was running for her life, light and swift steps of her legs, she just like the wind. She could go anywhere freely. She was gifted with a skill that doesn't match her personality; she was like hunter on the hunt for it's pray. Akai on the other hand kept watching her with a proud smile.

"You damn, FLASH!" she shouted at Kiara, who is almost halfway reaching the bus. "Not gonna lose to you"

Akai took long steps to make her reach longer and faster, it worked and she was going so fast but not as fast as Kiara, she was determined though, but then….

BAM!!

Akai fell backwards very hard. What waa that? Akai almost lost her consciousness. She seems to have ran into a wall, she looked up but everything was moving all around her, however she could make out that there was no wall it was empty just air.

Maybe she accidently bumped into the wall because she wasn't watching around her while running fast, it's common to not look out for your surroundings. Although she would have died if that had had happened.

She stumbled while getting up; she bumped her head very hard. She waited for few minutes till the dizziness went away. After that Akai walked to gate but was again hit by something in front of her, it was invisible.

Not knowing what it was she tried touching it and there it was again something soft and rubbery thing, invisible, electric waves will appear around where she puts her hand.

Akai tried pushing through this barrier; it didn't work because she pushed back away from it.

"What the hell is this now?" she asked herself

Meanwhile Kiara reached the finish line and was so happy to defeat Akai again. When she looked back expecting Akai to be panting behind her, she was disappointed to see her at that she was still at the starting point. Akai was waving at her.

"Wow, now what?" she said coming to akai

"I can't get out"

"What are you saying the gate is wide open, ya know" she said while looking at her akai was making fun of her.

"No, moron, look" Akai showing that she can't come out

"Can't see anything"

"Touch it then"

When Kiara tried, her went through the barrier. Shocked akai touched it again but no her hand wouldn't pass the gate.

"You are playing tricks, kai"

"Is this the time for any tricks, Kia?"

"You are the one who is throwing them right now"

"I am NOT" she said "then watch this.

Akai took some steps back and ran to the barrier with all her power which was enough to convince Kiara, for she bounced backwards and fell so far away in that it felt like she was flying, Akai landed on the grassy area of the playground which was fifteen feet from the gate.

This time it was very painful. Large electric wave rippled from the point where she hit, revealing a huge barrier that covered the whole school and all the entrances were closed by it. Kiara was worried about Akai that she rushed to her dear friend; fortunately Akai just had some bruises and small cuts. Though it she had difficulty breathing

"Now you believe me?"

"Yeah I do" she said looking seriously "let's try together now"

"Alright"

Kiara lifted Akai on her knees, both walked together to the gate, holding hands this time. Kiara starched her hand to the barrier; there was nothing and that means that whoever went in can come out too.

Then she looked at Akai and nodded, Akai nodded in response. She then almost pulled Akai out then that 'BAM'. Nonetheless, Akai was pulled back inside. It felt like this barrier was made especially for Akai. Kiara seemed desperate now but she couldn't bring her no matter what.

Fifteen minute later, the ground started to shake and slowly it felt like earthquake. It was very odd for an earthquake to ever happen this much hard, most of the time it would last for three seconds at the least but this more than fifteen! Already, being curious akai lean to the ground to hear the sound and was very horrible which was getting closer and closer as the seconds go by because, what she heard were heavy marching like a large army was coming in their direction. Cold sweat ran down her neck.

"Kia run, run now" Akai warned her "something is coming this way"

"What it coming?" she panicked

"No time" she said "just run. Take everyone right now or they all die"

Half a kilometer from the right of the school appeared a freighting scene; horde of those red mantas monster coming towards them, hungry for more blood and flesh.

Everyone in the bus panicked and was screaming their lungs out. Both Akai and Kiara were motionless from fear. What to do, they are all gonna die if they stay like this.

"What are you waiting for!! Go now!" Akai pushed Kiara out of barrier.

"I can't leave you here", Kiara cried holding her Akai's hands.

"This isn't the time for this", Akai reasoned with her

"But still you will die if you are alone"

"I promised to comeback alive" Akai forced smiled.

"I will live" said akai "because I will die not yet. I want you to keep lily and my brother safe until I come back they are in your hands now"

Kiara didn't have any other choice thus she left Akai and rushed to bus. Lily questioned her about Akai; she didn't answer anything about her. Kiara started the bus and hit the paddle so hard that the bus vroomed forward loudly.

Akai kneeled and prayed to her lord as the horde of monsters were approaching them. The bus jumped from the rocky road to the main road, Kiara not listening to others when they kept asking about Akai and especially El, who was crying for his sister and begging to not leave her behind.

What could she answer anyway, she was forced to leave her friend alone to die, and there was no time to explain that, for she wanted to keep the promise that she made. Tears dripped from her eyes as she went further and further away from Akai, she won't look back no matter what happened.

Akai prayed desperately and at the same time believed that they will make it. She turned to her left; the roaring and the horrid groans of the monster terrified her, her heart which felt like it was about to burst .

"They are very close," she said "I cannot move for I want to know, that my friends are alright and this might be it for me" she smiled weakly.

The monster entered the premises, Akai kept breathing harder now, her mouth open, inhaling and exhaling; when suddenly the monsters changed their course, targeting the bus.

She stood up screaming her lungs out to keep their attention to herself and not them. But they wouldn't listen; all of them ran like she was invisible to them. Tears poured down her eyes while she banged the barrier hard which was of no use but with that she was instead hurting herself "Please don't go there, please I beg you"

The bus drove away so fast until it can no longer be seen yet the monsters still followed behind, a minute went by; Akai was hopelessly sitting near the barrier, she was motionless and was hoping this was all just another one of her crazy dreams which she always had. She kept on praying to God, as she watched the swarm go after the bus in a rush.

"Why is this happening? What bad did I do? I was happy this morning, everyone was smiling and it was a supposed to be normal boring day. God why are you punishing me like that? Is it for testing my fate? Or that I don't deserve happiness?" Akai asked her lord with a forced smile and tearful eyes, while gazing at the monsters which were turning into fine ash "and now they are turning into ash...ash, Ash? They are turning into ash?" she jumped on her feet.

All the monsters burst into ash and slowly disappearing, the ashes which kept floating in the air and not settling down. She stared intensely, it's as if the lord has answered to her desperate prays.

Akai's eyes wide open and her knees lost the power to stand, nevertheless she had stand on her knees at the least, then bowed, her forehead touching the dirty bricked ground. Gritting her, pressing her teeth so hard that they bled from her gums, tears wouldn't stop flooding her eyes.

"God, Thank you so much" she cried, repeatedly hitting the hard ground.
