Methis sat at the table in the VIP area of an Inn somewhere in the Legendary Stage, with Hades and a young female hybrid vampire player named Etsu Yahiro.
Etsu noted that there was an awkward air of silence and unease as the two Game Administrators from the Minority Faction didn't see eye to eye with each other.
"Ahem. Now that the three of us are here, let's sort out the misunderstanding between the two of you, alright? This can't be allowed to go on, or else it will develop into a civil war, and the Majority Faction will take advantage of this."
The young and sexy vampire cleared her throat, and began to speak.
" Hmph. "
Both Hades and Methis said together in unison, looking down their noses at the attire that Etsu wore.
" I don't see anything wrong with what I'm currently wearing, you ancient, outdated oldies."
Etsu sharply remarked, annoyed by the way the two Game Administrators looked at her attire, as if they were judging her because of that.
"Now that I got your attention, let's not waste any more time, and drive straight to the point, alright? I'll act as the mediator between the two of you."
"Alright, Etsu."
The two of them said together in unison.
"Methis, I know that you want to raid the stronghold of that Demon Beleth, and take back the Grimoire you own that contains powerful primordial spells."
"And what's your point, Hades? That you can easily send someone to sneak into Beleth's place, and get the item back in no time at all because your minions know space magic and cloaking magic? I don't even trust you at all. Last time you made your move, my trusty assistant accidentally died at your hands because your minions let her fend for herself against a bunch of elite demons without support. "
Methis angrily pointed a finger at Hades.
" Is it even my fault? You should have notified me in advance that day. You didn't even bother to coordinate with me when I raided Beleth's place during the last war, so it's your fault in the first place. A long time has passed since then. Learn to move on. "
Hades lost his cool and snapped back at Methis.
" Oh, yeah? Move on my ass,Hades. That's not the only reason why I don't trust you. During the recent meeting held by the Game Administrators, you ignored my request to limit Beleth from placing spying tools around my fortress."
"Even if I helped you and made sure that word spreads to Beleth about what you want, there's next to no certainty that he will listen to me. Why should he? He belongs to the other faction, Methis. "
"You could have at least helped me by trying, Hades."
"At the cost of what? Him invading my fortress and giving me a headache in the aftermath that follows afterward? No way, Methis."
What the actual heck? I thought it was something serious. What was that gumiho thinking when she reported this, and amplified the whole situation to make it look serious? I hate it when that gumiho gets all trickster mode once in a while. I'll make sure to give her a serious lesson when I get back.
I don't have the time and patience to watch two Game Administrators acting like an immature, bickering old couple then resolve their conflicts. But since I'm here now, I might as well resolve it and get it over with already.
Etsu did a facepalm while watching the two Game Administrators bicker in silence.
"Ahem. It was fun watching the two of you bicker around like an immature old couple, but you need to act sensibly like adults, so let's put an end to this, alright?"
Etsu sharply remarked with an air of annoyance and impatience, interrupting the two Game Administrators.
Etsu noted that in the past few hours, the Game Administrators just focused on bickering with each other, and didn't bother to order anything at all.
Etsu called for an approaching waiter who happened to be nearby, then placed her order of three separate servings of Anejo Tequila with Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, all good for three people.
A few minutes passed before her order finally arrived.
The two Game Administrators finally stopped bickering at the sight of the food and alcohol.
"You sure have a good taste when it comes to foods and drinks. The werewolves are much more crasser, and, should I say, more uncultured than you vampires. What you ordered should be expensive, even for an elite vampire player like you, correct? Let me pay for these dishes and drinks that you ordered, Etsu. "
Hades looked up at Etsu while speaking to her.
" You sure are rich, like what the others say, Hades. Thanks for the offer to pay for the food and drinks. "
Etsu replied back to Hades.
" I didn't know that you are a big fan of fine dining in a fancy set up like this, Hades. I thought you were an outdoorsy and on the go type who prefers steaks grilled over an open fire, and a cold bottle of beer. "
Methis said to Hades.
"I do fancy having grilled steak and a cold bottle of beer almost daily. But just because I'm an outdoorsy type doesn't mean I know next to nothing about elegance and fine dining. A man has to know elegant and classy stuff in order to impress ladies."
Hades winked at Methis, making Methis blush right on the spot.
" That explains why you opted to wear a suit and tie before coming in, and you also got me to agree to wear something elegant too, even if we initially didn't see eye to eye. We ended up getting curious stares from the elite players, but never mind them. Are you hitting on me, Hades? "
" What if I do? So this means that our past misunderstandings are finally put to an end, right? As the saying goes, the more you hate, the more you love. "
Hades said tenderly to Methis, approaching her and kissing her hand, making Methis blush even more.
From enemies to lovers. What a surprising twist. This meeting ends well then, I suppose.
Etsu thought to herself as she sneaked outside the VIP section of an Inn in the Legendary Stage unseen, returning back to the headquarters of the Werewolf-Vampire Guild to make a report to Lilith.
