The Apostle Of Gluttony

Living is not free, it comes at a cost. This is simply the truth, and I have come to accept it. In a world where uncertainties and dangers lurk around every corner, I have learned that the only way to survive is to pay the price, one way or another, and the path I have decided to follow, is to consume or be consumed. I do not hesitate to do what it takes to keep myself and my loved ones safe. And to do that, I have to pay every day.

Let's Dance 2

With a swift and smooth motion, Zen swung his blades as he dashed forward, cutting the heads of the Nethercats fast before the paralyzation effect wore off. His hands flew in the air flawlessly, every movement stroke the monsters that the blades landed on with precision, cutting their heads off.

His footsteps drew a symphony of chaos as the flickering torches on the walls cast swaying shadows on the hallway ground that was slowly being coated with the blood of the monsters falling motionless on it.

With a wide grin covering his face, Zen continued to slash the Nethercats left and right, leaving only their screams of agony and the thuds of their bodies falling on the ground to echo loudly within the confines of this place's walls.

However, his enjoyment was interrupted when his eyes noticed that some of the monsters' body parts began moving ever so slightly. "The paralyzation effect is wearing off faster than expected," Zen murmured under his breath as his eyebrows pinched together and his sharp eyes narrowed while watching the remaining monsters, "I guess the fun never lasts forever"

With a long sigh leaving his throat, Zen raised his chin as he looked at the dim roof while the monsters broke free from their paralyzed state and dashed towards him once again. "I can't afford to get any sort of injuries this early, so I guess I have no other option," Zen added as he proceeded to take a weird stance.

He positioned one blade behind his head and the other behind his back before widening in between his legs to resemble the footwork of a boxer. He then bent his upper body forward before letting out a deep breath.

[Blood Art]: <<Dominance >>

Withing a few moments, the blood splashed on the ground, began rising in the air as if ascending to the sky. After that, all the blood that gathered in the air swiftly moved to coat the blades that Zen was holding, seeming making them much longer and a bit thicker.

Zen took a deep breath before re-adjusting his pose to the usual stance that he often uses.

"Okay… Let's do this!" Zen Uttered as he slightly lowered his gaze before his figure became blurry.

The monsters immediately stopped moving.

They began examining the place with their surprised eyes, looking for the human that had just disappeared from their field of view. No matter how much they looked around, they couldn't find Zen's whereabouts, confusing them even further, until they suddenly heard human language coming from somewhere close to them.

"I'm over here you ugly bunch"

The monsters raised their heads to find that the human was hanging on one of the pillars close to them, with one of the blades planted deep into the pillar.

Once their eyes landed on him, all the monsters screeched in unison as they watched Zen push his feet against the pillar before he pushed his body down, launching himself at the hoard of monsters.

As he was flying in the air, he began spinning while extending his arms outwards, forming the shape of a tornado as he fastly approached the group of monsters.

The blood began spraying from the blades on the monsters, burning their flesh like acid. The monsters began screaming in pain and scratching their skin, nearly ripping it off just to not suffer from this great pain.

Zen took advantage of the state of distraction the Nethercats were in to slice through the monsters' bodies like a knife through butter, burning their flesh as the blades cut their guts. Two of the monsters managed to endure the pain they were in and launched at the human facing them, pointing their claws at his neck as they approached him with immense speed.

However, Zen quickly ducked, dodging their attack with ease before adjusting the grip on his daggers and stabbing the two Nethercats each in the middle of their chests. The two monsters fell immediately as their hearts dissolved rapidly, opening the way for Zen to reach the others.

Zen's eyes caught a subtle movement in the body of one Nethercat trying to move towards him, so he instantly twisted his wrist before throwing the dagger at the monster's head.

Once the blade landed in between the Nethercat's eyes, Zen immediately dashed forward, catching the monster's body before it slammed to the ground and pulled the dagger out of its skull.

The others tried to attack him at that moment since he was temporarily vulnerable, but Zen's figure disappeared again as he leaped high into the air.

Zen then swung his blades as if cutting the air, spraying the blood coating them on the monsters.

The blood landed on most of the monsters this time, as all the blood coating the blades left it like waves traversing through the air.

The flesh of the monsters began melting faster than before, and their bones began falling off alongside the rivers of blood that escaped their bodies like fountains

When only a few of the monsters were still standing, Zen immediately called once his feet landed on the ground.

[Blood Art]: Anguish - Concentrated

The blood on the ground began raising once again to form drops that circulated Zen's body with immense speed. However, instead of forming small needles like before, it instead began gathering in an arc shape that resembled a long blade.

The monsters didn't understand what the human in front of them was doing, and accompanied by the staggering rage of seeing their kind being murdered in front of their eyes, their only thought was to launch at him with full speed.

And so, once Zen noticed the movement in their bodies, a wide grin covered his face before he raised his hand to his shoulder level. He then twisted his wrist before firmly closed his fist.

Once he did that, the Nightcats began immense pressure applied onto them, with a loud voice commanding them to run away. However, due to the speed they were moving in, they couldn't suddenly stop moving.

The arc-shaped blood blade started glowing brightly before it launched forward, seemingly teleporting from one place to another due to its unmatchable speed. Along its way, it passed through the monsters' bodies, cutting them in half as it continued to move forward.

Hi everyone.

I'm really sorry for having this bad uploading schedule in the past few days.

I was busy and couldn't upload regularly like I did before, but now, I will try to go back to my previous uploading schedule since I have enough time to work on this novel, and maybe pump even more chapters.
