Chapter 11

' LET GO OF ME YOU BRUTE! I will not stay with you! I will not tolerate being slung across your shoulder like A SACK OF POTATOES! '

' Do be quiet. You are creating quite the scene.'

' Ohhh, just you wait as soon as you put me down, boy you won't know what's gonna hit your pretty face. When I'm done with you the Moon goddess won't even recognise you.'

' You think I have a pretty face.'

' Wait, what? No...of course I don't. That's all you got from my speech, bah.'

' I do not think I have ever met a woman more dramatic than you.'

' And I don't think I've ever met a man more annoying than you. By the way the blood is rushing to my head and if I happen to die I will come back to life to haunt your ugly face.'

' What did I tell you, dramatic.'

I chose to ignore that little comment and instead pounded my fists on his back which by the way is extremely toned and muscular. I would know this because I've had plenty of time to hit and examine it.

But alas my hitting and screaming have gotten me no where. As we were already up the stairs and now entering a hall that obviously lead to the bedrooms.

Xavier stopped at a set of double doors and opened it with his free hand as his other hand was to busy holding my legs captive.

As soon as we entered he put me down. I stood there for about a second letting the blood flow normally then I turned around and flung my fists at his chest.

' This is kidnapping!' punch

' You can't do this!' punch

' I'm goin-'

Out of no where weirdo grabbed both my fists in his larger rough hands.

' Enough!'

His face was so close to mine it was doing things to me. The only sound was my rapid breathing.

He was looking into my eyes again and it was making me extremely uncomfortable. My wolf however was overjoyed with our close proximity.

' Please for goodness sake woman, just stop putting up a fight and accept defeat.'

Okay nope, he wants me to accept defeat just because what, I'm an unworthy woman that is supposed to submit.

Fine if you want me to play the woman card I will.

I instantly went slack in his arms and sighed out loud. I then gently took my hands out of his and put them around his neck.

I could feel his whole body go rigid. His muscles tightened and his back shot up straight.

Putting my lips close to his ear and pushing my body even closer to his I whispered,

' Xavier, please don't make me stay. I promise I'll be safe.'

His breathing increased, my breathing increased. I couldn't get enough of his scent it was driving me insane, lulling me into a peaceful dream. I couldn't even describe what he smelt like it was just delicious.

I didn't realise my face was now in his neck, sniffing him until he sucked in a deep breath.

' Say it again.'

I raised my eyes to his face and saw him looking at me with clouded vision. Hmmm it looks like he wants to eat me as much as I want to eat him but probably not as much as I want to beat him.

Batting my eyelashes at him I asked him again, nicely.

' Please don-

' No, not that. Say my name. I want to hear it from your lips.'

Um... I looked to the left of his face then the right not knowing what to do. Things were getting heated probably because his stare makes me feel all warm inside.

' Xavier ' I breathed.

He squeezed me even tighter to his body and let out a gruff sound from his throat.

He looked conflicted like he was having an internal battle with himself or his wolf.

Our close proximity was doing things to both of us. This stupid mate bond.

However much I wanted to stay in his arms because of how good and right it felt I was getting impatient.

' So... Ah... Is that a yes or a yes?'

' It is a no.'

I jumped out of his arms and was just about ready to go at him again when he spoke.

' We will both be staying in my bedroom. Everything you need will be provided you just have to ask. I had all your belongings brought here as well. I have a meeting to attend to and will not be back until eleven. Grace will call you when it is time for dinner. '

He turned around and walked to the door but stopped about a foot away from the door and looked me straight in the eyes

' Do not ever try to seduce me into getting what you want again.'

With that said he opened the door and strode out.
