It is very annoying to know tatvtgwre were still some foolish elders who ckukd nkt tell the difference between someone who was willing to prote t them, and someine who was just selfish and would do anything tobbe where he was. Including using them and spilling their blops just to get what he wanted. 

Being locked uo instead he dungeons and torqued everyday never made him go soft. Relinquishing his title wasn't just goimg to be him. Selling his birth right, but also selling the freedom of his people. They would be subjected to suffering, and that includes the elders who supports him now.
