When the trolleys for the food came, Millicent walked into the Dining Hall from another door. For some reason, Julian decided to skip lunch and only took food with him. She had no idea where her mate would go, but she had long learned how to trust him. Moreover, he wasn't her first mate partner, so she was pretty much pacified.
Julian was a lot younger than her, the female Beta who stood next to Gilbert Gillard since the man had come to Canini Shore. She had watched a lot of things with him and even had two mates that had died from the battles that Gilbert had hidden from the others. However, none of them was like Julian. He was strong and monstrous—just as Nicholai and Ansel were, but he remained to be gentle and sweet.
