Fifteen

It had been almost half an hour since Theo and Brandon walked and explore the forest but they found nothing. There wasn't even anyone else there besides them. But they didn't give up and kept going, trying to find clues about their friend's death.

Bang Bang!

They immediately stopped when they heard gunshots coming from their left.

"Did you hear that?" Theo asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Yeah, I heard that," Brandon replied, nodding his head. "It was a gunshot and it looked like it was coming from over there," he said, pointing to his left.

"Right" Theo nodded and agreed. "We have to go there to check but we have to be careful"

Brandon just nodded. Then they turned around and immediately walked towards the voice come from.

Moments later, Theo stopped making Brandon who was walking behind him stop as well.

"Why did you stop?" Brandon frowned and looked confused. Because the Alpha suddenly stopped.

"Did you see that?" Theo asked, looking straight ahead.

Brandon slowly looked away and looked straight ahead. But he frowned when he saw a man standing not far ahead holding a gun.

"Finally I managed to kill this animal and he deserved it. Because he killed a man" the man said, watching a brown wolf lying helpless on the ground. "Goodbye, you're going to rot in this forest" he smirked. Luckily he didn't realize that Theo and Brandon were watching him from behind the bushes not far in front of him. Then he looked at the animal once more, turned around, and walked away.

After making sure the man was gone Theo looked back and Brandon nodded. Then they jumped over the bushes and ran to the animal.

"We should check it out," Theo said. He immediately crouched down and noticed the gunshot wound in the animal's stomach. Then he reached out and tried to pull out the bullet lodged in the wolf's body. "Silver bullet" he mumbled.

"And that means the man who killed Logan," Brandon said, noticing the bullet Theo was holding.

"I think so too" Theo nodded. "But I'm sure he's not a hunter of our race. He's just an ordinary hunter who hunts wild animals. And he thinks Logan who is transforming into a wolf is an ordinary wolf, not a Werewolf" he explained, turning to Brandon.

"So what Harley said is true," Brandon said and Theo nodded.

"Finally tomorrow's a day off." Caitlin breathed a sigh of relief and walked down the school hallway. Then she turned to Grace and Kaylee who were walking to her left. "So do you guys have any plans for the weekend?"

"Not yet." Grace shook her head. "I don't have any plans. Maybe I'll spend it doing things I like, one of which is drawing"

Caitlin snorted. "Come on, Grace, don't you have any other plans besides doing those boring things?" she sneered, looking away.

"Of course not," said Grace, shaking her head. "It wasn't boring for me, it was fun," she said, turning to Caitlin.

"Okay," Caitlin relented and looked straight ahead. Then she turned to her friends. "How about we hang out and spend some time together? I'm sure it would be fun. Or we could make a girl's night"

"I don't think hanging out is a good idea" Kaylee shook her head and looked disapproving. "Because we often do it and I feel bored"

"Okay." Caitlin nodded. "How about we go on vacation together?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Vacation?" Grace frowned. "Oh come on, Caitlin, we only have two days off" she sighed.

"Right, and that wouldn't be enough." Kaylee nodded and agreed.

"I mean, not on vacation abroad as you think, but going to fun places like amusement parks," explains Caitlin. "What do you guys think? That's a good idea, right?"

"Why don't we go camping in the forest or hike up the mountains?" Grace turned to Caitlin and Kaylee who were walking to her right.

"Good idea!" Kaylee nodded. "I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. Plus we've never done it before. So I agree" she said, looking enthusiastic and smiling.

"But I don't agree." Caitlin shook her head and looked away. Made Grace and Kaylee frown and stare at each other. "As you know a few days ago a man was found who died in a forest because he was attacked by a wild animal that was there. And I don't want us to be the next victim"

Grace immediately fell silent, froze, and suddenly became a statue after hearing what her friend said. She remembered that she had not sought further information on the case.

"So where are we going to spend this weekend?" Kaylee lowered her head and looked uninspired. Made Grace wake up from her daydream.

"Hi"

They immediately turned their heads and saw Theo walking to Grace's left.

"Hi, Theo" Caitlin smiled.

"Am I disturbing you?" Theo asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Certainly not!" replied Caitlin shaking her head.

Theo nodded and looked away. "If I may ask what are you guys talking about?" he asked, turning to the three girls.

"We're talking about the weekend. We're planning to go somewhere but we haven't found it yet" Grace said bowing her head.

"Sounds interesting." Theo nodded. "Spending weekends with family or friends is the most enjoyable thing"

"Right!" Caitlin nodded and agreed. "Would you like to come with us?"

"If you don't mind, I'll join you" Theo replied nodding his head.

"Of course not. We'd love it if you came with us" Caitlin said, looking at the new student with a smile on her face. "As you know the three of us are women and it will be safer if you come along. So that you can protect us" she continued.

Theo nodded. "Then let me know when you find the place" he smiled.

"Sure." Caitlin nodded with a smile that didn't fade from her face.

But Theo just smiled and kept walking. Then he looked away without saying anything.
