Harriet was acting strange.
She didn't look sick, and she didn't look sad either. But she sat quietly in her room, avoiding everyone's gaze.
If someone came and talked to her, whether it was their three teenagers, Zaha or Liam, Harriet wouldn't look them in the eye and would stare out the window, where cold air would pour in from that direction.
All morning, Harriet said that she was very tired and weak.
Lunchtime arrived soon after. Liam went up to their room with the tray of food he made with Zaha and Yelan and found Harriet still sitting in the same position on the bed, staring out the window.
"Madam," Liam called out to Harriet who looked lost in thought.
The woman wasn't doing anything. She didn't read the romance books she used to enjoy in her spare time, nor did she study the letters from the Old Duke that had arrived yesterday.
She just sat still, and that made Liam and the others very worried.
