After the call, Kiara was pacing in her room. She felt a little calmer after the marathon she just had with Alec. Although she shouldn't be thinking of such things right now, she wasn't satisfied. She needed more too.

Kiara snapped out of those thoughts and focused on the task ahead. She was thinking of how she was going to get blood from Rowland without anyone suspecting it.
She needs to get the blood as soon as possible. She needs to strike before the mating ceremony. She can't afford for Rowland to find her mate. Finding his mate would make him the Alpha because Frederick would step down.
Kiara can't let Frederick do that. If he stepped down from the throne for Rowland, it would mean her dream was gone! She did all that she had done in vain! That's why she was eager to find a way to stop the mating ceremony.
