Raven set her phone aside, feeling a mix of relief and frustration. She appreciated that he was willing to back off, but his insistence that this wasn't over left her feeling unsettled. She needed time to sort through her feelings and figure out what she wanted.
Taking another deep breath, she turned her attention to the missed call and message from Stella. Opening the message first, she read:
Stella: Hey Asteria. So sorry about the meeting today. I had no say in all that happened.
Raven frowned, remembering the embarrassment she had felt when Stella walked in on them. But instead of helping her out of the situation, she had left.
Raven quickly typed a response.
Raven: You looked like you had a lot of say when you walked in and left like it was a normal sight you just witnessed.
She had barely put the phone down when a reply came.
