I remained in Blaise's arms even long after the sun had set.
We had taken a quick bath together — Blaise was surprisingly well enough to move to the ensuite bathroom without too much of a struggle — and after a long wash, we had all but collapsed into bed in each other's arms.
I wasn't too sure how much time had passed, only that the skies seemed dark outside by the looks of the slightly drawn curtains. Blaise was sound asleep― the activities that had kept us occupied for the last few hours had evidently taken a toll on his body.
He slept soundly and without a sound. All I could feel from him was a wave of calm, paired with the sight of the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. Gently, I ran a hand through his hair, playing with the strands until a hand suddenly wrapped around mine, startling me.
