[JFK Airport, NY, 5:33 AM]
In a fairly deserted waiting area the small doctor sat staring at the time on the corner of his phone's screen, it appeared that he had come way earlier than the supposed departing time.
Just as he was about to shove his phone back to his pocket, it suddenly vibrated from an incoming call, which prompted Alex to halt his intention, drawing a confused frown between his brows. But he still received the call.
"Can I help you—"
"Are you still in the airport?" The panting voice that came from the other side asked in a demanding tone, "Tell me!"
Alex was a bit taken aback by Gabriel's breathless voice. He sounded as if he had just sprinted for quite a distance. "Ah, yes. There's less than an hour before the departing time. Is there something wrong?"
Without saying anything else, Gabriel immediately hung up on their call. "Hang on! I'll be there in a while!"
