Maise turned around and seeing Rowan, she broke into a huge smile, and then her cheeks flushed and she looked away, embarrassed. Rowan noticed, though, he understood in a different way. As Maise acted that way because she remembered the fiery kisses she'd shared with Rowan the day before, he thought she was embarrassed that she'd been caught flirting with Hans.

Hans, on the other hand, had a calm expression, without any guilt. Rowan frowned.

"Come here right now!" Rowan ordered, pointing with his index finger at a space right next to himself.

Maise's smile faded and gave way first to a raised eyebrow and then her mouth tightened in displeasure.

"What?" she asked, squinting at Rowan.

"I told you to come here! NOW!"

"And who do you think you are to think you can order me around like that? Do you think I'm your dog?" she asked, rising indignantly from her chair.
