Camping

My lips parted hearing his husky voice. I didn't know Adam that much. Hell, we dot even interact that well so I don't know why I am feeling a hollow space in my stomach the moment his hand left mine. I swallowed hard.

"Adam..." I said with my voice shaking. Adam looked at me with his piercing eyes as if I made a damn mistake of still speaking up.

"Okay class, please settle down." Mrs. Litchfield got our attention.

I sighed deeply as I looked away at Adam. I felt a tightening knot in my heart. I am spacing out the whole time our teacher is discussing something. I cannot understand what she's saying though, I am too pre-occupied with Adam and the things that he always do to me.

He's really driving me nuts.

"Luna, psst!"

I turned to look at Eli on the other side. I arched my brow at her.

"Are you coming?" she mouthed. My forehead creased. Eli noticed the confusion in my eyes so she rolled her eyes at me.

"Camping!" she mouthed again.

"Camping?" I asked with a creased forehead. Eli rolled her eyes at me then pointed at the board.

I turned my head to see what it was and I saw the word camping there. It has a date and a place when and where it will be held.

I sighed. I dont really have the energy to go in a camping or what. I just want to lay in my bed and wait for another night hoping that it wouldn't be a dreamless night again. I just want to escape because it feels like my world is getting narrower and I am being suffocated.

When the break came, Eli keeps on telling me about the camping and how excited she is looking forward for that. I remained silent and watch Adam. Lately, I hate that I am noticing every single detail about him. I hate it when I know when he is pissed, amused or what.

It's strange because I only knew him for a couple of days ago but it feels like I know him more than that. And I am actually starting to hate it.

"So it's settled. We are all coming!" Eli exclaimed. I sighed deeply.

"Eli, I am not coming." I said weakly. The smile on her face faded and she looked at me, confused.

"What? Why? This is the most awaited event in our year since we will be very busy next year." she said almost pissed.

"I'm just tired." I said. Eli rolled her eyes at me.

"It's not as if you'll still tired when next week came!" she lamented.

I want to debunk what she said. After all that's happening in my life now since I turned 18, everything is just so tiring. My weird dreams, Adam, his strange action, my feelings... everything is just confusing that I would rather stay up in bed all day rather than stressed myself in the upcoming camping that I have no interest.

It is more than physical tiredness. I've been tired overall.

Eli keeps on bugging me the whole day even if I already told her no. She was so excited to the point that she already told her friends that we are coming without getting my permission.

We were on our last class when I hear Eli talking in her friend about the camping. They are actually talking about unexplainable stuffs such as ghost, paranormal activities and any other scary species that can only be found in movies. I sighed as I listen to them because I don't actually have any choice. Not when Eli is clinging at me.

"That seems really thrilling." excitement is very evident on Eli's voice. I sighed.

My eyes travelled outside when I saw Adam waling on the hallway. I sat up straightly so Ican see where is he going. Is he going home? Or not? If not then where is he going?

"Luna are you listening?"

"Huh?" I blinked then forced myself to look back at them.

"Ariana said that her sister also got to that camping last year."

"Yeah?" I asked sounded so bored. I am actually bored. I am not of their conversation and I cannot relate to their excitement because I am not going on camping.

What I want to do right now is grab my things, put it all inside my bag and leave this room. I want to follow Adam. I want to know more about him. I want to know what is he hiding. I want to know why does he act like he knew me and then pretend that he doesn't.

"Yep. She said that there are strange things in that mountain."

"That's scary." I commented.

"It is really scary. She said that they heard growls in the middle of the night then all of a sudden they just see wolves."

My eyes darted at her immediately. She got my attention there. I lean in and become more attentive.

"They saw wolves?'"

Ariana nods.

"Yeah. There are stories that the mountain was once the haunting place of the wolves. And when I say wolves, I mean a person who transform into a werewolf. Strange. I don't really believe her because I think she's high. She's traumatized after seeing it though. That's why I want to go camping. I want to know if what she said is true." she said while looking straight in my eyes.

My lips parted and I got interested in going to camping the moment I hear the word wolves. It excites me. It drives me nuts actually.

"I think I don't want to go now. That's actually scary." Eli said sounded so worried.

Eli looked at me and cling into my arms. I looked back at her.

"Fine, you win. We will not go. I am not that brave to see wolves." she joked.

I shook my head then sighed. I looked at Arianna then to Eli then the hallway where I saw Adam passed by. And then I looked back at Eli and smirked.

"No. We will go." I said.
