Chapter 169 The Banquet

At about five o'clock in the evening, Emma made a phone call to the children and saw Liam coming out of the study. He glanced at his watch and said to Emma who on the sofa, "It's time for us to set off."

Emma knew that she had to dress up well for the banquet tonight in order to be worthy of standing by Liam's side. She had slept enough in the past two days, and her face was radiant and charming.

When they were about to leave, Liam reached out to hold Emma's hand and she dodged, but Liam still grabbed her hand tightly.

"I'm not a child. Why do you always hold my hand?" Emma asked curiously.

Liam replied without looking back, "I like it."

Hearing that, Emma smiled silently. Liam turned his head and saw her smug smile. Then, he smiled at her.

Liam asked Emma to wait for a while, and he went to the garage to get another car. At that time, he drove a dark blue sports car, which was cool and domineering, like a cheetah ready to go.
