Zane was shocked as he glared at her, asking, "What did you say?"

She tried to explain, "The kids are going to have their summer vacation soon. I want to spend some time with them." This was the only reason she could think of, and it was more than enough.

Zane immediately smiled, "You just want to spend the summer vacation with them. Why resign then? I'll let you enjoy your holiday."

Emma didn't want a vacation, but she had to resign. Otherwise, Liam wouldn't let her off easily.

She thanked him sincerely, "No, I'd better resign! Thank you for giving me a chance to work with you during this period of time and for giving me so many gifts."

Seeing that she was so serious, Zane was in panic. He looked at her and said stubbornly, "I won't let you go. We've signed a five-year contract. You should know that your resigning is against the contract."
