“I wish we could just lock the doors and forget about everybody else for a while,” he confessed quietly. “I know you don’t want to travel, and we really shouldn’t with the new breaks in Emma’s case, but…I don’t know. It just seems we’ve had our share of hell lately. It would be nice to tell everybody they could just fuck off.”

“That would be more than just nice.” Jesse brushed his lips across Gideon’s jaw. “With my new superpowers, we’re only ever a phone call away from Derek. If there are any new clues about Emma, we could be back here in a second.”

“Superpowers.” Gideon chuckled. “Next you’ll be saying you need a cape and tights.”

“I’d look great in a cape. I could probably do without the tights, though.”

“Too restricting.” He squeezed Jesse’s cock. “I’d always be ruining them to get to the good stuff.”
