07 Ancestor's three diaries.

"You were quite rude to me before, why should I help you?" The man said to Liam smiling.

"Stop this bullshit and tell me!" Liam had no time to joke around and was getting really annoyed with the man.

"What a feisty one. You already know about my first request, and since you were rude to me, I will increase my demand. I want you to let me control your body twice. For a length up to a year. Yea I think that's reasonable."

"A YEAR!" Liam screamed.

"Oh, was that too much, I don't quite know your lifespan. Is a day okay. And keep in mind that I can take control whenever I want and don't need to warn you. You will also be unable to speak to me if I don't want to and you won't be able to see anything that I do unlike me." The man explained the conditions of the deal.

"I agree, just tell me how I can save her." Liam said, not thinking too much about what he was agreeing to.

"You and I cannot really save her. Your only hope is to bring her up to the surface and hope that someone quite a bit stronger than you will be willing to help you. Don't you dare think I'm a monster. If I had my body, I would be able to easily save her." The man revealed the rather disappointing news. How was Liam supposed to reach a world that he wasn't even sure it existed, with the crazy underwater currents. And then hope that someone will help him." Oh, also. I'll be nice this first time around. I will be taking control of your body, now."

The man said before he disappeared from the cage.

"Dammit, he really just left me here and at this moment. I have to at least try to save her right. Leave everything and everyone I know. To try to go to a world that I don't even know if it exists, I don't even know if I can survive the currents outside alone and yet I have to do it with Hayley in my hands." Liam was getting quite disheartened, as the whole situation seemed against him, like the world wanted him and his sister to suffer. "Is it even possible to save her?"

Liam was felling quite depressed, the whole situation had happened so fast, that he didn't really know how to react to it. From losing his sister, to being unable to use his own body. He had no Idea what that man was currently doing. He tried to meditate and move the flame from his head to his heart but he was unsuccessful.

The depression he was felling did not stop him from felling boredom. As he had more time to look around now and he didn't know how long it would take for him to have control of his body yet again. Liam focused his attention on the two blobs of liquid.

Inside this space he was currently in, that the man said was called the sea of soul, there were none of the little lights that he would normally see all around him. There was only one place where those lights were visible, and that was inside the two blobs of liquid. In the dark blue blob, there were dark blue lights and in the greyish-black, with a bit of purple blob, there were the same-colored lights.

What surprised Liam was the concentration of the energy inside the two blobs. It wasn't near the herb that he found or the grand coral but it was still very impressive.

Liam went up to the two blobs and attempted to make contact with them, but his hand passed through like there was nothing there.

What is this, why is it even here? Didn't that man say that this was my own mind. Where is my brain then? Or is that just a myth, those books that are here since ancestor founded this place, could they have been lying to us? I have never dissected someone's body to know if what we read from there is true.

Now that I think about it, everything from those books. That's really our only knowledge. That wood comes from some things called trees, but we only ever found it floating around the deep waters. The books taught us about some systems from what I could remember. That's how they built the gates, right? I never paid attention to that so I wouldn't know.

What else have we been taught from the library that we have no proof of? Is even the history of Coralopolis true. The only way we know what happened is through.

The ancestors three diaries.

The last must be read by all the citizens inside Coralopolis.

The second one only allowed to the members of the royal family.

And the first diary, deemed the most important one, only the current leader can read that diary.

The last diary, the one that everyone reads, it's the base history and founding of Coralopolis.

Ancestor and a few hundred more people found themselves inside the bubble that is now Coralopolis. Our ancestor united everyone there, gave them the knowledge and power to build the city we currently live in. Everyone practiced a certain technique that the ancestor gave them, increasing their lifespan to 150 years. It also massively increased everyone's strength, managing to build the foundations of Coralopolis.

That was the quick summary of what everyone inside Coralopolis was taught about its history, tough the members of the royal family knew a bit more.

The second diary of the ancestor, starts off with him being inside the leviathan's belly. Alongside thousands of people, food, materials, whole houses, books and a lot more. Everything that the leviathan had eaten and had yet to dissolve inside its belly was there. It was there that ancestor found two very special books.

Christopher found himself inside a harsh environment, and an even worse situation. He was currently being chased by a bandit group called The Racoons. Christopher owned them food, which was as good as money in that place. They were the type of loan sharks with incredibly high interest rates.

"Where should I go?" Christopher panicked as they were nearing him and his only place where he could run was towards the entrance of the leviathan's mouth. Everyone that managed to survive there for more than a few weeks knew, that the track towards the leviathan's mouth was a death trap.

"Is that guy crazy, does he really plan on scaling up to the leviathans mouth." One of the thugs chasing Christopher said.

"He either has a death wish, or he is just plain stupid. Let's wait for him here. We have to return with his dead body at least." What seemed like the leader of those thugs said.

"Yea, he's so stupid." Another one commented.

"Shut your mouth, Neal!" More than one of thug in the group instantly shut the young man down.

"It looks like they have finally stopped chasing me, but if I return, they will surely be waiting for me and I only have food for two weeks, so I can't wait them out." Christopher was thankful that he had managed to save himself for now, but he had no idea what he was going to do later on.

Never having practiced any technique before, he wasn't even in the first human realm. He was still a simple mortal. He was barely hanging onto the almost vertical tunnel. The leviathan's esophagus was almost always at a 70-degree incline, and had a radius of about 10-15 meters. Christopher couldn't really tell without any tools.

The reason no one managed to escape was due to the lengthy time it took to scale its esophagus, combined with the creatures often eating all kinds of things.

When Christopher was having his meal of half-digested bread, like an earthquake, everything around him started shacking. He quickly packed up his food and prepared for what was to come.

Firstly a few trees and some mounds of earth began falling, but Christopher was able to easily avoid them, by sticking close to the wall and maneuvering a bit from side to side.

After a few seconds of rest, another barrage of items came down at him. A few people as well as planks and bricks from houses started raining down on Christopher. He used the same tactic and he managed to stick on, just taking a few hits. He was still mostly fine.

The shaking stopped and just as Christopher thought that it was all over and he relaxed a bit, a giant slab of metal came flying down. It was spinning rather fast like a shuriken and it was headed straight for Christopher. Luckily, he was almost used to the harsh environment of this place, and his quick reflexes allowed him to climb up fast enough, that the metal passed him just slightly. The thin slab of metal dug deep into the esophagus of the leviathan. A Loud shriek was heard, as its whole body began to vibrate.

Christopher was almost shaken of the side of the wall, and he was going to fall a long way down, just when he managed to stabilize himself, he looked up only to see a giant bookshelf falling down on him. He had no time to react and was hit dead on.
