CHAPTER 3:Aftermath

Paul's POV

Jamie has been acting a little weird recently, he even missed the science meeting yesterday....He never misses the sciences meetings, he lives for science.

I walk down to class, I step into the class and roll my eyes as everywhere is filled with mumbling, they never keep there mouth shut. I scan the classroom and notice that Jamie was absent.

* thoughts*

Okay this is weird, I'll have to go to his house after classes today

I walk straight to my table and settle down and wait for the teacher to arrive, definitely not in the

Mood to talk to anybody today.

Third Person's POV

Meanwhile Jamie had been continuously pressured by his mother at home who had been insistent to know why he has refused to attend school on that day. He was persistent at first but after continuous persistence from his mother Sarah, he gave in and recounted the events of the previous night.

Sarah's POV

I love my son but I've been waiting for something to go wrong *mentally chuckles*.

I should have known, nothing ever works out completely for me, there is always a hiccup somewhere. Maybe I shouldn't have trusted that shaman, I knew I shouldn't have trusted the shaman. He said there was no price but who was I fooling, there is always a catch, there is always a price for everything.

I am going to pay him a visit this night and find  answers to this.

I look at my son one final time before heading out for work, he looked so scared and sleep deprived with sunken eyes.

I don't regret asking for him, I don't regret having him but I can't help the pang of guilt I feel my heart for what he is currently passing through.

It is my fault.....

*Later in the evening*

As I walk down the road leading to Simon's street where the shaman owned a small fast food shop which ofcourse he also used it performing his extracurricular (spiritual) activities, I made a mental note to be mindful of my tone. I have no interest in getting hexed by a shaman.

Standing in front of the red metal door, I breathed in and hesitated for a few seconds before eventually stretching out my hands and giving three knocks on the metal door and as usual as if there was an automatic control, it opens slowly on it's own while making a creaking noise.

I have been expecting you I heard his old croaked voice say from behind me amidst sinister chuckles. I sharply turned around facing him and he approached slowly out from the shadows he blended perfectly into.

*mind thoughts*

This man never ceases to creep me out

Would you love a cup of tea? He said as he grinned widely.

I blurted out a resounding No on impulse and immediately gave him and apologetic smile and proceeded to sit down on the old wooden chair which was obviously meant for guests..

I'm here for my Son, I I mean I'm here about my son. Something is wrong with him, I I think there is something wrong. He sees things, I mean he always had as a kid but it stopped. The doctors said it was a case of imaginary friends but now it has started again...he hardly sleeps and is constantly scared and I'm deeply worried.

The doctors say he could be schizophrenic but No, now that I think about it, now that I think about everything I think you have something to do with it, I think you would know something about this so please please, I would pay anything, just j j just give me an answer, anything, a solution to this.

At this point I was almost crying amidst stutters, mumbling and accelerated speeach which was almost faster than my thought process.

He sat there, just sat there montionless and with an unblinking gaze and then that evil smirk plastered his face once again.

And then he finally spoke after several minutes of silence....Sarah I think you need that cup ot tea afterall........
