Chapter 18 (Legends)

After helping unpack everything in Ciaran's room, Lux wanted to learn a bit first about their kingdom. Lux sat next to Ciaran on his huge bed.

"You are a royal, and you did not tell me?" Lux said.

"Well, if I told you I was a royal earlier, how could I trust you? Like you're just friends with me for the money and status." Ciaran answered.

Lux thought for a moment, "That would be true too."

"Well, at least I have you here now." Ciaran hugged Lux.

They laughed a bit, before both lied down together onto Ciaran's bed facing the ceiling.

"I still haven't answered the question, am I right?" Lux looked at him.

"What question?" Ciaran looked back.

"The one that I knew you liked me and I needed time to think about at the sunflower field."

"O-oh that one. Yeah, you haven't answered it." Ciaran replied, a bit trembling.

"Haha, don't worry. I won't give an answer just yet, give me more time." Lux looked back up to the ceiling.

"Hey, I haven't heard you say anything hurt anymore from your wound."

"Wait, you're right. I haven't felt any pain."

Lux started to lift up his shirt a bit, the bandages were a bit old, but he unwrapped it to reveal the wound that had healed.

"IT'S GONE! YES!" Lux shouted happily as he started jumping up and down. "That shit hurted like hell."

The shouting of Lux was loud enough to be heard by Delia next door.

"What's gone?" Delia asks.

"My wound." Lux smiled.

"Really? Like really gone or just left a small bit to heal?"

"Nope, entirely gone!" Lux happily answered.

"Wow, that's wonderful! It finally healed!" Delia excitedly said.

"I'm not gonna lie but, your wound was the hardest to heal." Ciaran said. "It would bleed and then stop and suddenly bleed more heavily. It would be weird for an average human to have that type of wound."

"You're saying it like I am not human." Lux answered.

"Oh yea Lux, come here." Delia grabbed Lux to the other side of the room to Ciaran's mirror. "Look at your eyes."

Lux blindfold was still not on, and his eyes shined a bright yellow.

"What the hell."

"You didn't know your eye colour?" Delia looked at him.

"It's supposed to be brown, but it's now yellow." Lux kept looking at the mirror.

"Maybe you have one of our legends." Ciaran said in the back.

"What legend?" Lux looked at him.

"There are two of them, come sit and listen." Ciaran offered.

Lux agreed. The 3 sat on the bed and Ciaran started to speak.

Long ago, there was a man who was forced to be signed up as a soldier for war. He was devastated as he had to leave his wife and kids behind. He swore to his family that he will make them proud and come back in one piece, he trained and trained until he was the strongest of all of his teammates.

He survived the war but their enemy found his village first and destroyed it into ashes. He cried day and night, didn't want to believe it was gone but it was. And one night, he killed himself and became a spirit helping other weaklings by possessing their bodies.

"It's a weird tale, to be honest." Delia said, but the look on Lux's face told that he was really into that story.

"Did it say how long he will possess the bodies?" Lux asked.

"I don't think so, but I remember it saying that it will only leave the body when war is over because it knows when it ends." Ciaran replied.

"Oh, nice. How about the second one?"

Thousands of years before this warrior was born, there were dragons that had ruled the lands. They were fierce and made harm to every creature, but one day a girl decided she didn't want this war anymore and she secretly became friends with a dragon.

The people soon found out about this and banned her from her village, but the dragon was kind-hearted and protected her. One day, the little dragon told the elder dragons about their friendship and they somehow agreed to it. Soon the friendship would turn in love and they had a human son with sharp yellow eyes.

The son grew big and strong and kind-hearted like his father, he somehow became friends with humans and hybrids would eventually be common. The day of the first hybrid's death was special, he had made a spell. He would see the past and the future to find the most kind-hearted, friendly and faithful human and have that person to have hybrid children.

"Not many people believe that story because they said they have met those types of people but their children weren't hybrids of the dragon." Ciaran said.

"Is that all? Hybrid children?" Lux asked.

"Technically, those are the main points of the story but if you want to read the full versions. You can find it in the library later." Delia said.

"Well, about the warrior one. I think that legend is true but I'm not entirely sure."

Delia questioned it.

"Because I have this person inside of me called "The Blade" and he takes over my body when I'm fighting. And I would have no memory of what happened in the fight." Lux said.

Ciaran: Maybe or maybe not the same person. But did he leave your body yet?

Lux: I think he left, the last I spoke to him was at the mermaid place you brought me.

Delia: He maybe left because it could sense the present and future for anymore wars.

Lux: Then what is with the yellow eyes? The warrior left, he should've left with the eyes and the dragon was only for the children hybrids.

Ciaran: Maybe there is something in the story I missed, let's go to the library later after dinner.

Delia and Lux nodded.

I a horrible at writing, i am so so sorry.
