In Clyde's room.
As the train had already traveled a few miles now, Clyde was already comfortably sitting on a couch, immersed in the pages of a book.
The books contain several beginner's guides and will be a valuable resource once he was accepted into the academy.
The book delves into the history of Edgewood Academy, one of the five academies established during the early years of Eltham.
The other academies include Midnight Sun, Black Bulls, Spade, and Ace, which together with Edgewood, represent the Five Guardians appointed by Lord Gareth to defend the land of Eltham.
These academies stand as symbols of strength and protection, safeguarding the territory.
He also discovered that the Academy encompasses a vast territory, which is twice the size of a city. The Academy is fortified by towering walls at its borders, which serve as a barrier against any intrusions by beasts, much like the same walls surrounding the cities.
Meanwhile in another room a few rooms away from Clyde. Marco and the two instructors are currently sitting at a table where they show the results of the initial test of the academy in Evirille City.
"Did you discover any prodigies during the initial phase?" Marco asked the instructors.
"Sire, we were fortunate enough to discover two geniuses in this phase, a boy and a girl, both with an attack power around level 10. Their high level of ability increases their chances of being accepted," one of the instructors reported as he handed a report to Marco.
Marco received the report and took some time to read its contents, deep in thought. "Hmmm, not bad," he praised.
"Both individuals performed exceptionally well and achieved high scores. The girl is a mage, while the boy is an assassin. Not bad at all, they are currently at level 8," he added.
Both of the instructors also agree as they nodded.

Back in Clyde's room.
Having already finished reading the books, he thought already bored "The books are informative, but they only serve as an introduction. I'll have to delve deeper once I've been accepted into the academy."
With nothing to do, Clyde lay down on the bed and fell asleep.
-
After a few hours.
Clyde woke up as the engine noise ceased, indicating their arrival at their destination.
He rose from his bed and stretched, walking towards the door and opening it. At the same time, Marco, Steven, and the two instructors also opened their doors, ready to disembark from the train.
Clyde followed Marco as they exited the train, while the other students also began to disembark. The two instructors were there to assist them.
However, Clyde was a bit puzzled as they went in a different direction, and couldn't help but ask, "Uncle, where are we headed?"
"Oh, I forgot to mention that your and Steven's lodgings are located in separate places," Marco began to explain.
Both of them understood as they followed Marco until they stepped outside and felt the refreshing breeze. They approached a man who was standing by the road with a luxurious car.
Upon noticing their arrival, the man respectfully bowed and opened the door at the back of the car, signaling for them to enter.
Once they were inside, the man closed the door and then opened the door to the front and got in, driving the car to their lodgings.
After a while, the car arrived at a towering 20-story building, surrounded by lush trees and a well-manicured garden where workers could be seen tending to the grounds. The structure was quite impressive in size, with a grand exterior that hinted at the luxury within.
As they stepped out of the car, Clyde and Steven were in awe of the magnificent surroundings. The crisp, fresh air that flowed in was soothing, filling them with a sense of peace and relaxation.
"I have some other things to attend to, so I'll leave you two here," Marco said, handing them each a token. "Just present this to the receptionist inside and they'll know what to do," he added.
Before Clyde and Steven could ask any more questions, Marco started the car and drove away, leaving them behind.
With a sigh, Clyde watched as Marco's car drove further away. Meanwhile, Steven had already walked ahead and left Clyde behind.
Clyde disregarded Steven's actions and did not intend to associate with him, given his arrogance. After taking in the environment for a bit, Clyde decided to head inside the building.
As Clyde entered the building, he was greeted by luxurious furnishings, including a chandelier hanging in the entrance and a reception area manned by an attendant who immediately noticed him as he approached.
"Sire, good afternoon. May I see your token." The attendant asked.
Clyde reached into his pocket and retrieved the token, handing it to the attendant. The attendant took the token and inspected it carefully.
"Oh, young master Clyde, welcome to our Hotel. Please follow me." the attendant said.
Clyde nodded as he followed the attendant. The attendant shows the way towards his room as he explains the various facilities and place he could visit tonight around the hotel if he wants to.
Clyde listened attentively at the information that the attendant is saying as he guided him to his room.
The attendant led Clyde to his room on the second floor and presented him with a key. Clyde thanked the attendant and entered his room as the attendant departed.
Entering his room, he was immediately impressed by its luxurious features and complete facilities that he could use for rest and personal grooming. Without delay, he started with a refreshing bath.
After freshening up, Clyde requested room service to bring him a meal so he could savor the culinary delights offered by the hotel.
While still eating, Clyde received a message from Marco.
[Hello kid, Tomorrow morning I will both take you away there. The exam will already start tomorrow. So make this time to rest properly and prepare yourself. The content of the Test will also be announced tomorrow.]
Understanding the context, Clyde nodded.
