Chapter 11

It had been a long time since Joseph left the Star Dou Forest. He didn't know how long it had been since he had no means to measure time.

" It's taxing and very boring."

The journey was not exciting at all. Though Joseph had no right to complain since he was travelling while he was hiding as much as possible.

He used Google maps to make sure that he never crossed paths with any other beast. He had lost count of the number of beasts he saved himself from.

He was sure that he was far into the past. Humans were seen rarely and spirit beasts ran rampant. He had come across some humans and was able to conclude that the humans were not very strong, at least not enough to match the ferociousness of the spirit beasts.

Spirit beasts in the age range of ten thousand were as common as blue silver grass, so Joseph had no choice but to lay low.

Joseph stopped in his tracks and opened Google Maps to see how far the destination still was.

His eyes widened in surprise.

" I didn't think that I was already this close! God! When did I check Google maps the last time!?"

Joseph was filled with joy when he found that the forest was very near.

Filled with excitement, Joseph ran with all his might seeking to reach the destination as soon as possible.

" Roar!"

Suddenly a wolf appeared in front of him. The Wolf growled as it stared at Joseph.

" God! It's the Emerald Demon shit all over again!"

The wolf pounced on him, Joseph swiftly dodged it.

" Grghh!"

" Calm down boy."

Joseph said with a deep voice. The wolf however paid no attention and pounced on Joseph once again.

This time Joseph did not dodge however he retaliated with his attack. The land beneath Joseph cracked and he flew like a cannonball towards the wolf.

" AAH!"

The wolf howled in pain when it felt Joseph pierce its stomach.

Joseph who just landed behind the wolf looked at his body covered in some yellow stuff and said.

" I just had to go through his shit collector!"

Shaking his head, Joseph turned to look at the wolf who had yet to realize that Joseph was behind it.

Shaking his body to get rid of the shit, Joseph took a deep breath.

" Blergh! I wanted to breathe to calm myself down...I forgot I was covered in shit!"

The smell made him curse.

Joseph with speed ran and charged at the wolf once again.

The wolf suddenly turned its head towards the direction of Joseph.

" Too late, boy."

The wolf didn't realize its death was imminent and opened its mouth to swallow Joseph who was coming in its direction.

Just as Joseph entered its mouth, it closed the mouth.

But, unfortunately for the wolf, Joseph just pierced through its neck and got out safely.

" Huuu! That was tiring...fighting while covered in shit was harder than I has expected."

Joseph wiped the blood off his body and decided to take a bath before going to the destination.

" After all, I cannot make a bad first impression on my food..."

Joseph went through some bushes and walked through a grassland before arriving at a lake.

" Wow! It had been a long time since I saw a lake as beautiful as this..."

Joseph couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the lake. The lake didn't look like a lake at all, it looked like a big mirror reflecting the clouds in the sky and the trees that surrounded it.

Standing right in front of a mountain, it looked majestic.

Joseph jumped on the lake without thinking more and let out a sigh of relief.

" Ahh!"

He couldn't help but moan in pleasure. There was something special about the lake that made him very comfortable, he just wanted to let go, close his eyes and fall asleep.

' I feel like even if I die today I won't regret it...I must have been blessed by gods to find such a lake...'

Joseph's eyes suddenly widened and he jumped out of the lake without waiting for a second.

' That is not my thoughts! I still have my Gwen back in my world! Many years may have gone by however I will make sure that I will meet my baby the day I promised to meet her! So who is it that is controlling my mind.' thought Joseph cautiously.

Suddenly, the calm lake in front of him started vibrating. Waves started rising as if a tsunami was coming.

" This!!!?"

From the middle of the lake, a huge figure slowly rose.

" Just what the hell is that!"

Joseph couldn't help but scream seeing the gargantuan monster in his sight.

Water was still falling off the body of the monster. The water that fell hit the water on the lake below and gave off steam for some reason.

"Just what in the world is it!?"

" ROAR!"

The monster roared putting its head forward. Joseph could feel his heart tighten. He didn't feel this way even when he was about to die at the hands of the Emerald Demon Bird.

With the roar, the water in the lake seemed as if they were commanded by the God of Water to dance.

Huge waves rose and moved towards the lakeside with the monster as its epicentre.

" Fuck!"

Joseph turned around and ran with all his strength as a wave of the lake-tsunami hit in his direction.

" Ahhhh!"

Joseph felt his body crack when he was swept away by the wave of water.
