That Time I Got Reborn As A Noble With Overpowered Skills

My name is Rey, I grew up at an Orphanage, where I didn't knew my origin. Didn't knew my mom, dad nor any relatives. But one thing's for sure, I grew up well in that Orphanage.

Twenty years later...

I was already twenty-seven, and was already independent.

I left the Orphanage at the age of sixteen, Nobody wanted to adopt me. So I tried to do some work for my sake. I went to school, graduated, found a job and now I own an apartment.

One night, me and my co-workers went to a bar. Since the next day was our off, So we went and enjoyed ourselves. We drank, had some guy conversations, and enjoyed the rest of the night.

The next day, I overslept and woke up with a pretty heavy hangover. So I got up from my bed, went to brew some coffee and searched for something good for my hangover at the refrigerator.

Then I opened the gas, and was about to cook some food. My phone rang loudly, so I went to get it.

I forgot that I turned on the Gas, The Gas hose was pretty damaged. But I didn't knew about it.

I talked with my Co-worker at the phone, He asked how I was doing. We had a short conversation and hung up. So I grabbed my cigarette pack and lighter at the table and was planning to smoke before I cook.

But I didn't knew that lighting my cigarette would be the cause of my death...

Before i could lit my cigarette, the gas exploded. Covering my entire closed apartment in flames.

After the explosion, I lost consciousness and died...

"Am I dead? I remember losing consciousness after the explosion at my apartment."

If I knew I was gonna die, I should have enjoyed my life to the fullest.

I Should have gotten married, and have children if I was gonna die this soon.

"But why do i feel different, Is this how death feels like?"

Trapped in a dark place, unable to move freely.

"I can't even see my arms, wait am i dreaming?"

But I literally died, this isn't a dream.

I have too many regrets, but if I get a second life I'll be sure to enjoy it properly.

I won't be an average guy like my previous life, I'll be more stronger so that i could defend my self.

And I don't wanna get hurt anymore.

I'll pursue on my dreams on creation, creating things. but if I get to live where supernatural things exists.

I hope I gain some powers like Haki from One piece!

Amidst the darkness, A light shined infront of me after a beautiful mysterious voice appeared.

"All demands, will be granted."

I didn't understand what was going on, but one thing's for sure. The dim light that showed infront of me grew wider and wider. Up until a face of a woman showed up.

"It's a healthy baby boy!"

"Doctor, Is the baby safe?"

"Yes Baron Luke, Your son is no doubt safe."

"Do you hear that Wendy?! Thank god your both safe."

"I hear you dear."

I didn't want to believe it, but I couldn't believe it.

And what does he mean about Baron? Wait...

I just came out from a woman's you know. I got reborn, Is this what they call reincarnation?

My hearing senses became dull, my eyesight was blurry. I tried to move my hands but it was too hard, I Really just got reborn into a baby!

The doctor carried me nicely as she carefully handed me towards the woman, I mean my mother. I guess? Since she's the one that gave birth to me.

My vision was still blurry, but I could tell that she had beautiful silky ash hair, with gentle blue eyes, sharp nose and a cherry shaped lips.

I could guess she was at her late twenties.

She carried me gently, when the doctor handed me over to her.

"Hello little one." As a man's voice was heard.

So i turned around to check, and saw a Man with Black shiny hair, Sharp brows and had a fierce neat look but also handsome. The man supposedly to be my father.

The woman who gave birth to me was Wendy Jeager, the wife of Baron Luke Jeager. Seeing them close, I was sure that they were excited and was glad that the delivery was safe.

My father, Baron Luke gave me the name Luna.

I'm sure it sounded like a Girl's name, but my father insisted. In the end I was named Luna.

"Luna Jeager, That'll be your name son." As my father spoke.

"Dear, Look at Luna. He's staring at you."

"I know, maybe he likes the name I gave him. Haha!"

Really? Luna?! If I could just speak right now I'd demand to change my name.

As time passed, I was already two years old.

I learned alot of things while being treated as baby. I got breastfed and all, I felt embarrassed. If I was gonna be reborn like this, They should have erased my previous memories! I feel guilty for my mother, Breastfeeding a twenty-seven year old baby.

I was the son of a Baron, guessing about it. This world still has Aristocracy.

I still couldn't speak properly, and the language they're using is different. But I somehow understand it. Seeing my mother's writings is like deciphering the ancient language of egyptians.

I couldn't understand a single thing, But I didn't care about it. I guess growing up like this isn't so bad.

I, who grew up on as an orphan didn't got to experience this. A family's love.

Then, time passed by quickly. I was already five years old.

I had beautiful silver ash hair just like my mother, ferocious blue eyes with long eyelashes, Sharp thick brows and Sharp small nose.

How do I explain this, I basically look pretty rather than being handsome.

But one thing's for sure, The world that I'm at right now isn't your ordinary world unlike earth. Electricity doesn't exist here. Technology, internet, and many more gadgets that we had on earth didn't exist.

After seeing alot of things, the one that caught my attention was magic.

Yes, Magic exists. Their Magic comes from their mana prowess. I've heard about all of this at my previous life, But it was all on videogames and stuff.

And the place I'm currently at isn't your nice and cozy palace unlike the other nobles from what you've read at novels.

My family, was on the verge of collapsing.

The town that my father manages is currently suffering from a huge crisis.

But never mind about that, It's the magic that caught my eyes! Soldiers wearing full plate armors and swords on their waist, Old guys wearing robes but are good with magic. I'm basically living in another world.

I guess, things that were simply mere fantasy on my previous world really does exist in another world.

I learned alot of things, and that every living being in this world has a mana core. It's the main source of their magic prowess located at the center of your abdomen.

But not all that has mana core can use it, Humans tend to awaken at the Age of ten and learns to use the elements, and will be able to cast magic.

But not all humans can awaken, that is.

Only 10 percent of the humans out of the entire human population on this world can awaken as a mana user.

Yes, that's what they call themselves, Mana users.

Mana users are considered as geniuses on this world, where mana is absolute.

And another thing that I learned is that, the continent we're at is called Erendale.

And the current town i live at is called Nero town. Nero Town, The town that my household manages. A simple small town where only their agriculture is the only source of incoming. A town filled with different kinds of fields, farmers and fishermen. Since Nero town is located at the northwest, near the coast.

The Continent Erendale has three kingdoms to be precise.

The lands on the Northern side of the Continent is called Emperium, where the Humans live.

Inside Emperium's boundaries resides eight different towns.

Emperium Capital City, NewGround City, Winder City, Deuxford City are the four main Cities of the Emperium. And the other four are midsize towns and one of the four is Nero Town, where i currently live in.

The lands on the Eastern side of the Continent is called Aldien. Where Dwarves, Elves, reside peacefully.

I don't know the Capitals of Aldien since it isn't written on the books that I've read about the whole continent. But all I know is that Aldien and Emperium had a pretty good relationship. Since both lands exchanges goods from time to time. The The Aldien country is known for their incredible weapon smiths and elixirs.

And yes, I never knew that even dwarves and elves existed here.

My mother always told me that she had an elven friend that had a daughter just around my age.

And she also told me that the Western and southern part of the Continent are filled with different types of monsters alongside different beast races.

She always told me a story where if I don't go to sleep early, the Monsters there will come and eat me.

Like hell, I'll believe that. Yeah, they may exist but they won't reach this far. Since the entire Emperium lands are barricaded all around. Many soldiers guard the walls of Emperium. Since on the previous years there was alot of occasion where monsters tried to invade the human territories.

My father, Baron Luke. Was a former Soldier of the Emperium. Ten years ago, A great war happened on the entire lands of Erendale. Dwarves, elves and humans fought together to protect their territories from the Monsters that tried to invade.

Among the monsters, there was a commander that ordered the entire monsters. They called him the Demon Lord. A strong individual capable of commanding tens of thousands of monsters.

But at the end of the intense war for territory, The humans, elves and dwarves won. The Demon Lord was killed by the three great heroes of each presented race.

The Emperium's Greatest Mana user, The Dwarven's Strongest Warrior and the Elven's Most powerful Archer Mage managed to defeat the Demon Lord at the end.

Thus, the monsters were terrified and was forcibly driven out towards the southern and western parts of Erendale.

This was the story my father told me before I go to sleep, Since he was so proud that he got to be on the same team of the Emperium's hero.

My father wasn't a mana user, he didn't awaken. But he was talented at the swords. That's why he became a Soldier. But looking at my Father practice his swordsmanship at the back of our house, I'm sure he was just an average swordsman.

Well, enough of that...

As I grew up i managed to learn alot of things and tried to awaken my mana core. I managed to acquire the methods of awaken by reading some books at our house. My mother, Wendy. Was pleased to see me growing up and properly interested in books and other sorts of stuff rather than swordsmanship. Since my father only spoke about swords and stuff everyday, everytime he opens his mouth.

My mother bought me alot of books to learn from, then after several years. I turned ten, but people here don't tend to celebrate birthdays unlike on my previous world. They only celebrate their birthdays here when you turn to an adult, When you reach fifteen you'll be acknowledged as an adult here.

This world's laws are basically different from my previous world.

The night after my birthday, I continued meditating.

Gathering the mana particles around me and absorbing it within my mana core. I started this method after learning it from the books, But unfortunately I still didn't manage to awaken. And everytime I use the method, A mysterious voice always appears saying "Progress rate increased to 98%". I didn't understand what it meant but I guess I'll awaken when it reach to 100%.

It kept progressing from 1% up until now since I started gathering mana particles around me.

I asked my mother about the mysterious voice in my head. But my mother didn't knew anything about it since she also wasn't also able to awaken when she was younger.

I wanted to ask my father but, I knew what he was going to say.

"I know nothing about those things! I'll teach you swordsmanship! How about that son?"

So I kept on meditating until the time came when the progress rate reached 100%.

"Notice."

"Progress rate reached 100%"

"Initializing skills."

'Huh? Skills? Is this how they usually awaken?'

"Creation Skill, Acquired."

'What the? What's this?'

As the mysterious voice spoke, mentioning these weird things. A sudden pop of intellectual knowledge has been bestowed upon me.

Creation Skill: A Skill which can create anything you think of. It does not give life unto your creation.

So basically, I can't create things that have their own consciousness? Oh well, I guess it'll be useful someday.

'Wait a minute.... HAKI?! What do you mean Haki!? Hey! Mysterious voice! Answer me!'

"Haki Skill acquired, A skill which you can freely use your spiritual power and convert it into Aura or also known as Haki."

'Hey, hey! Is this legal? What the heck is going on?!'

"Notice."

"Analysis Skill, Acquired."

'Analysis? Is this some kind of Appraisal skill which can give me informations on what i see?'

"Notice, Correct."

Analysis skill can appraise any individual, item, and many more. But does not work on Superior beings.

'What do you mean superior beings?'

"Notice, Skills reorganization is successful. Reboot will now occur."

A hard thump occured on my entire body, As I slowly fell unto the ground. Slowly losing my consciousness.

And sooner, I fainted.

The next day, I woke up in my bed. I think my mother saw me sleeping at the ground and carried me back to my bed.

But I'm sure something happened within me last night.

"Notice, You are correct. The Skill reorganization is now finished."

'Gah! Who's!? You!? The mysterious voice! Why are you speaking in my head!?'

"I am only able to speak due to the skill reorganization. I am merely a skill you've acquired. I am the embodiment of your entire skill."

'So you're saying that you're also a skill?'

'Stop with the notice thing, you sounded like some anime i watched back at my previous world.'

"Affirmative."

'Gahh! Why do you speak like that!?'

Then I learned that I still didn't manage to awaken as a mana user but ended up having mysterious skills.

Creation Skill, Analysis Skill and Haki.

This three skills doesn't require any mana. It is basically different than those mana skills that mana users use.

That's when I remembered that i did demand such things before I got reborn.

But I guess this is much more great rather than awakening mana.

I'll have to try my new skills now. Keke!
