The Advisor's Arrival

The Capital City, Lune, of the Holy Empire of Lubelius, the known headquarters of the Western Holy Church.

As the sun stood at its peak, the country remained bustling with activity, as the distant chatter could be heard even in the farthest of its walls. Just another day for the citizens, it seemed.

A small child, accompanied by her parents holding her tiny delicate arms, walked around the market after they had finished their prayers to their absolute deity, God Luminous. Giggling as her father put her on his shoulders, she looked up to the heavens above, until an uncanny flash of light was seen in the distance.

"Papa, Mama. Look, a shooting star"

"Hahahaha. Shooting stars don't appear at noon dear"

 "No, look"

The child, pulled her father's head upwards, bringing him to look at the light she was seeing. Seeing just what his daughter saw, his eyes widened, as he grabbed hold of his wife and child, quickly dashing to the nearest building door he could see and rushed in.

Seconds later, a small, human-sized projectile sped over the city in a blur, until—

 BOOM.

A extreme gust of wind, washed over the entire city, throwing everyone around several meters, as if a sudden hurricane had struck them. Screams arose, as the entire city found itself in chaos as many discovered their family injured and children blown away.

 Panic. Desperation. Fear. Dread.

These feelings grew in the people's hearts, as the ones they cared about were washed away by the sudden 'storm'. Sight quickly became horrid, small knives flying straight into people's bodies, people flung into the sharp spears on the side lanes and compounds, everything became dark in a matter of seconds.

Amidst all this, many began to pray for their family, their friends, their…everything, to the only god they were taught to worship, their god and protector—

 Please save us, God Luminous!

The people prayed, hoping for the guards… no, their 'God' to help them, to aid them in their desperate time of need.

"Gather up the wounded, heal the ones with light wounds, bring the ones who are in critical condition to me"

A feminine, yet commanding voice echoed throughout the region. Turning their heads, the people's widened eyes were met with a beautiful woman with short black hair, and violet eyes, donning the armor of the Holy Knights, with a sharp gaze watching over them.

Recognition hit the people's hearts, as they felt hope being conceded. After all, how could they not, when the leader of the 10 Great Saints, humanity's protectors, stood among them.

How could they not when Hinata Sakaguchi herself had come to their aid!

In another place, the father of the child who had just rushed his family inside a building, avoiding disaster, opened the door, and coming out, was met with the sight of Holy Knights rushing over to help with the injured. But his eyes did not even seem to register it, as his eyes remained fixated at the sky.

Looking up to the sky, he was met with a trail in the sky, piercing the clouds.

Rather than feeling unnerved or afraid, his face beamed happily, something that unnerved a knight who was helping the woman beside him on the ground.

Suddenly, his eyes teared up, glistening under the sun with the familiar sentiment of nostalgia and hope. His mouth opened, revealing his cracking voice—

"Dino, to be in such a hurry. The Lord is really back… right?"

Rimuru City, the capital of Jura Tempest Federation.

It was just another day in the city, well… for the most part.

Few like Benimaru and Shion remained suspicious of the 'dragonewt' newcomer Nova, while their Lord, Rimuru, frequently fretted over the situation with Hinata Sakaguchi and the Western Holy Church. However, this as well seemed to slowly become normal.

Vesta, who usually remained cooped up in his laboratory, now always accompanied Nova when free, asking for more information and inspiration after Nova 'accidentally' helped him improve the Healing potion he worked on, making the mass production and higher quality far more efficient.

Suddenly, alarm shot through the mind of Rimuru Tempest, soon followed by the rest of the military force of the Federation. How could they not, when a menacing Aura was approaching them with quick speeds.

However, just before Rimuru took action, a familiar voice rang in his head.

[There is no need to panic, Rimuru. This matter concerns me. 'Don't' Interfere. Just calm the citizens down]

Veldanava?—Rimuru thought, frozen in his place.

 [Yes?]

 [… Alright, I'll do it]

Rimuru accepted, before setting out to do what the Star-King had instructed him to.

However, before many could even sense the enormous aura of the approaching being, it was already there, floating above the city, ashen-blue eyes scanning the area beneath.

Until, those eyes landed on the supposed dragonewt, 'Nova', who responded with a nod and a subtle sad smile.

Seeing this, the entity eyes moist eyes couldn't hold back the tears streaming down its face.

 "Master?"

The intruder, Dino, uttered, his voice hopeful yet helplessly vulnerable.

Slowly, he descended before his master, Nova… no, Veldanava. As he landed on the earth, his aura dissolved, as his striking wings dolefully fell to the ground. Bowing while kneeling on one knee, Dino's tears streamed down his face.

Those tears, however, were not of sorrow but were evidence of the bliss, the joy he felt to be in Veldanava's divine presence once more.

 "Lord Ve—"

"Dino. My name is… Nova now"

"I see. My apologies, Lord Nova"

Veldanava sighed at the gesture. "No need to call me Lord anymore, just Nova is enough"

 "But—"

 "That's an order"

 "Yes, Nova"

 Tap.

Veldanava stepped towards Dino, ignoring the distant warning of Shion who was being held back by Hakurou. He took a step, then another, then another, as time seemed to slow down with each step, as if time itself was savoring this moment. Then, stopping just before the Fallen, he raised his hand, and then—

 Pat.

Dino's moist blue ashen eyes met with Veldanava's azure ones, as he lifted his head up to see his master's hand resting upon his head.

"It's alright. I am back, I won't leave you again"

Dino, nodded, once again lowering his head as he wiped his tears away, before standing up.

[I have been living as a dragonewt here for a while, so do not reveal my identity. We will talk about my situation some other time]

 [Yes, My Lord]

Dino silently nodded, leaving the others out of the conversation through their Soul Corridor.

Behind Veldanava, Shion and Ranga stood flabbergasted. They were the only two present with Rimuru during the Walpurgis, and so they knew exactly what Dino was... a Demon Lord. Even if he seemed to be lazy with a weak Aura, Shion was not fooled by that.

The moment Clayman had hit Milim, she had felt an enormous dreadful aura wash over her, for an instant but she unmistakably. She hadn't known who it could've been at the time, but now—

Dino. It was definitely him, and from that aura, she could tell, he was not just a Demon Lord like Carrion or Frey, but an awakened, a True Demon Lord, though not as cool and powerful as Lord Rimuru of course(Shion thoughts).

And for someone like that to address Nova as Lord? He was definitely becoming more and more suspicious.

Nova huh?! I will have to keep an eye on him.

 The purple-haired Kijin concluded.

"Who are you? What is your purpose on coming here?"

A wary voice exploded from before the crow, it's source a red-haired Kijin, with a sword long in his hand.

Behind him were not civilians, only capable fighters, so he was ready to intercept if the newcomer meant any harm.

Nova, hearing this, turned around. "Stand down Benimaru, he is not an enemy"

'Step Aside Nova, this does not concern you'—was what Benimaru wished to say. However, somehow, he just could not bring himself to say that, as if something in him was preventing him from doing it.

 "We should listen to him"

Surprised faces met Hakurou, bamboozled that the cautious Hakurou himself was vouching for Nova, who despite becoming a familiar face was still viewed as an outsider.

 "…Alright. Shion, Calm Down"

Benimaru sighed, before putting his hand on Shion's shoulder.

Shion, however, turned around slightly, before revealing—

"That guy is a Demon Lord"

Before anyone could even react to the information, Rimuru teleported right before them, his golden eyes taking in the situation around him.

 "Eh? Dino?"

Rimuru muttered, as his eyes landed on the Fallen Angel.

 "Lord Rimuru"

The Tempest fighting force, which was present there, spoke out at once in relief with a tint of caution, seeing their master between them and the supposed 'threat'.

"Uh… There's no need to fight, Dino didn't come here to fight"

Rimuru said, turning to Nova, receiving a nod in return.

Hearing that their lord knew the intruder, their worries washed away, after all, Rimuru trusted him to not cause any damage, and even if he was a threat, Rimuru and Veldora can easily get rid of them… right?!

Now understanding that Benimaru and the others had eased up, he finally turned to the other Demon Lord.

 "Let's talk inside"

✴✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✴

The Main Hall, Rimuru City, Jura Tempest Federation.

Seating across the chairs were the various executives of the Federation, and its chancellor, Rimuru Tempest, behind whom stood his two secretaries Shion and Diablo.

And just opposite to the slime, sat the Sleeping Ruler, Dino, looking aloof yet serious.

Is this really the guy who was Sleeping all the time during Walpurgis?

Rimuru was almost taken aback. This guy, who before looked as if he would sleep rather than ever work, now sat with a fierce gaze, missing any of the bags under his eyes that could be seen before.

"So, for those who don't know", Rimuru turned to Dino, "This is Dino, he is a Demon Lord like me"

 "Hah?! Demon Lord Dino?!"

Gobta exclaimed, shocked, before being quickly shut up by Rigurd's stern gaze.

Silence ensued for a moment, before Benimaru spoke up, turning to Dino who had been eyeing Diablo.

"Lord Dino, may I ask why you came here?"

"Well, I sensed Lo…Nova here, so I decided to visit him since I had not seen him for a long time, I guess?"

Dino replied, sending the ones present into thought.

 "Huh? So you know Nova?"

Dino's eye twitched at Shion's question, something that did not go unnoticed by Rimuru.

Aren't you being too brash with a Demon Lord, Shion?!

Benimaru looked warily toward Shion, just as Rigurd, Shuna, and some others.

"We do, you can say I'm a 'close' friend of his"

A sudden voice interjected, causing everyone to turn their head towards the sofa on the side, finding a seated Nova. Naturally, Veldora who was reading the manga while lying down his head on Nova's lap.

"We have not met for more than 2000 years, so I guess he was shocked to feel my presence"

Following these words was an eerie silence, as now everyone in this room knew that Nova was not just who they thought they were.

Beating Hakurou, being so friendly with Veldora and Lord Rimuru, was not something an ordinary person had.

Subsequently, it was decided Dino to be let in and stay, for he refused to leave Nova's side, much to their bewilderment. But Rimuru had allowed him to enter the meeting, so they had concluded that Dino was already trusted by him, therefore welcoming him in with open arms was not something they would avoid.

One after the other, the attendants left, in the end leaving only Veldora, Nova, and Dino.

Now in solitude, the watcher looked at his master, which Veldanava quickly understood. He wanted to know why his master had not returned for so long.

"Alright then" Veldanava began. "Let's begin with what I truly am—"
