Side Chapter: Shizu's End

This is just an extra chapter I added for clarity and is completely skippable, I thought I should add how Shizu reacts, shrug.

It is important to note the pacing of this story is quite fast.

The party of 3, Kaval, Gido and Eren set out to investigate the new monster nation, meeting an adventurer named Shizu on the way, who tagged along, she was very peculiar looking, wearing a very unique mask unseen before, they wandered through the forest towards this nation.

After a long road filled with monsters, they eventually cross paths with Rimuru himself, who was out testing his skills against whatever monster he saw.

Rimuru, noticing people saw him, wanted to go into his slime form to lower his enemy's cuteness resistance by -100%, but it was too late.

Shizu approaches Rimuru, hand on her blade in it's sheath.

She eyes this shorter re-color of her.

"Hm.. you look quite like me don't you?" Shizu takes the initiative in questioning Rimuru.

"Huh? Well.. uhh.. I do.. except.. you know-" To this, Shizu flusters a bit, she had already taken her mask off so he could see the resemblance.

"Except the burn marks and slightly different face details?" He says this with the most innocent look ever, Shizu reprimands herself on how she got carried away so quickly, she hurriedly agrees with him to gain back her mental footing.

"Yes well.. how did you get that form?"

"Honestly? I don't know, I woke up like this."

'Woke up? Could he be...?' Shizu thought and what the boy infront of her said next affirmed it.

He turned into a slime and stared at her.

"This is my real form, my name is Rimuru, and I am not a bad slime!"

Rimuru seeing how Shizu looked quite Japanese, and even had a Japanese sounding name, did a reference to the game Dragon Quest, and his suspicions were confirmed when she snickered at this reference.

"So you are Japanese! How about you come to my village with your friends over there and we can talk more?"

"Sounds good, let's go guys!" Shizu asked them to follow.

"Haah... even the newcomer doesn't ask my opinion and takes the lead... they grow up so fa-" Kaval said as he was smacked in the head by Eren's staff.

"Don't be rude! Let's go." Eren said.

After arriving at the village, they immediately prepared food for all 3 of Kaval's party.

In a separate tent sat Shizu eating food through her mask and Rimuru.

"Wooow.. nice skill, eating through a mask? Good for high speed food thievery.." Rimuru was in awe, such a useful skill.

'Great Sage, can such a mighty skill be replicated?'

{...No, as of now, you have no means of replicating skills..

Sigh.}

'That was an aggressive sigh! Thanks for checking Great Sage.'

"Say, Slime-San, what happened with Japan during all these years after the bomb raiding?"

"Alot... way too much..."

After sharing his knowledge of the events with her, and a bit of his memories of the later years, she was in awe.

"We have come a really long way.....

Slime-San... can I ask you a favor.."

"Sure, ask away!"

(A/N: It is important to note that Rimuru has not visited the butterflies of the night, thus he didn't know he was destined to be with Shizu to begin with, that's why he doesn't know her, since he already had human form, he did not get in trouble, and he went there with Ranga by himself, to make things faster.)

"I feel like I'm losing control, if I do inevitably do..." She trailed off looking at his expression.

"I...I understand..

Do you.. do you have anyone important to you here?"

"Nothing, I don't.. hate this world, I dislike it.. same with the Demon Lord Leon Cromwell.. I don't hate him.. I just.. want to know why he summoned me and didn't accept me for who I am...

The closest thing to a family I have are the otherworlder children in the Kingdom of Ingrassia...

This is where my second favor comes in..

Save them.. if you can.." To that, Rimuru only nods, swearing on his life that he will.

After the battle with Ifrit, and consuming Shizue Izawa, The Conqueror of Flames, and parting ways with Kaval's party with a heartfelt goodbye to Shizu.

It is safe to say Shizue Izawa will be a name remembered, even if one day only Rimuru remains, he will remember her.
