Chapter 7.1 : Manga Intrigue

A few days later, inside of a Morioh Cafe stood a young man with green hair, reading a manga volume, undisturbed by the fact that he was out in the open.

At the same time, some distance away from the young man stood a teenager, with a mixture of excitement and fear filling his face.

"I can do this, I can do this!" mumbled the teen, a young Ogura Satoru as he stared at by far his favorite manga artist from a distance.

Although Satoru had learned that Rohan Kishibe actually lived in Morioh, this was the first time that he had actually seen him, causing him to be somewhat overly excited.

"I can do this, I can do this," continued mumbling the teen as he slowly but surely made his way over to Rohan Kishibe.

So as to not make a fool of himself in front of his idol, Satoru somewhat calmed himself down as he came closer and closer to Kishibe, no longer repeating that same sentence over and over again.

After what seemed like an eternity, Satoru finally arrived in front of Rohan Kishibe, as he silently stood in front of him.

Hearing someone standing in front of him without moving in the slightest, Rohan Kishibe couldn't help but frown, causing him to raise his head and stare at the latter.

"Do you need anything?" asked Rohan Kishibe as he looked at the teen in front of him with a black look on his face.

"Mr. Kishibe, I am a fan, could you please sign something for me," said Satoru as he once again began shaking, causing some interest to appear on Rohan's face.

Although Rohan had seen excited fans, he rarely saw anyone like the person in front of him, who shaking by merely being in his presence.

"That's good," said Kishibe, no longer being as cold as he once was, now that he knew that the person in front of him was merely a fan of his.

Hearing the words of his idol, Satoru couldn't help but smile, as he suddenly opened his backpack, taking out a thick manga volume from inside of it.

Looking at the volume of Pink Dark Boy, his manga, being held by the boy in front of him, a faint smile couldn't help but appear on Rohan Kishibe's face, as he stretched out one hand towards the teen, picking up a pen with the other.

Without any hesitation, Rohan quickly opened the volume and signed his name on the first page before handing it to the boy.

"Here you go," said Kishibe Rohan as he handed the manga volume back to Satoru, causing the latter to suddenly break out of his thoughts and grab it into his hands, staring at it.

A moment later, Satoru opened the manga volume and stared at the signature, causing him to suddenly be entranced by it.

"Such a dedicated and devoted fan, I haven't seen anyone like you yet, you will surely make great inspiration," mumbled Kishibe Rohan as he watched Satoru's skin begin peeling, revealing pages below it.

Very quickly Rohan began reading Satoru's life story, what led him to become who he was today.

Although Satoru was seventeen years old, he was already an otaku and a Neet, as such, his story wasn't very long, allowing Kishibe Rohan to reach it's end quite quickly.

Suddenly, Kishibe Rohan's eyes widened, but sadly, it was far too late by now.

Before the gunshots could even reach Kishibe Rohan's ear, three different bullets suddenly traveled through the latter's head.

The now lifeless Kishibe Rohan now stared at the words written on the boy for a few moments before falling to the ground, dead.

...

"I really didn't expect someone like him could be capable of doing something like that," mumbled a policeman as he restrained a middle-aged man on the ground alongside two other policemen.

"My daughter reads this guy's work, I need to make sure to educate her properly," mumbled another of the policemen as he helped restrain the man on the ground.

At the same time, an old police officer on the scene couldn't help but shake his head.

"Manga artists, Japan really has degenerated these days," mumbled the officer as he looked at the photo in his hands, which clearly depicted the man on the ground.

...

Inside the Morioh Grand Hotel,

It had been several days since the disappearance of Okuyasu had been first discovered by the group, and right now Jotaro was looking at the tv in front of him, having come back from searching not long ago.

At this moment, Jotaro was watching the Morioh local channel, using the news as a method to slightly relax himself from the troublesome things he faces every day.

Suddenly, the relaxing mood of the local news shifted, as red text suddenly appeared on the bottom side of the screen.

'Breaking News,'

Without warning, the face of the woman who was recounting the news for today subtly changed.

"We have breaking news everyone, this story has just come in, the famous Manga Artist living in Morioh, Kishibe Rohan has been killed just five minutes," said the news lady, causing Jotaro's mood to subtly shift.

"As the story goes right now, Kishibe Rohan has been killed by fellow Manga Artist Hirai Kazuo, who had arrived in Morioh not long ago, " said the lady, causing Jotaro's mood to shift once again, as a curious expression to appear on his face.

"It seems as though the Former number one Manga Artist in Japan did not take being so thoroughly crushed by Kishibe Rohan and his famous work 'Pink Dark Boy' causing him to take action into his own hands, managing to somehow obtain a long-range rifle, which he then used to assassinate Kishibe Rohan," said the news lady, causing Jotaro to pick up the remote and shut off the tv.

"Another murder? Yare Yare, this town is really troublesome," mumbled Jotaro as he let his head fall down the back of the couch, beginning to doze off.
