The paramedics still hadn’t arrived and Drew was slowly bleeding out.

I stripped off my jacket and pressed it against the seeping wound but it became soaked in a short time. I wasn’t about to sit here and watch her die. If the medics wouldn’t come to me then I was going to go to them. Without further hesitation, I swept her off the floor and Nico cleared the way as I carried her out the nearest exit.

Armando had found out that he got duped and thought my deception was worthy of death. Camille thought Drew and I conspired against her after we had made a deal. If only she knew that I had no idea what Drew and Stefano were planning. I would have put a stop to it. Just the thought that she care enough to do this to save me, thawed my heart.
