One Month of being Married.

One month had passed since Xiotan's wedding, and she woke up around 8 AM, ready to start her day. As usual, Li Cheng was already gone, always the early bird who often skipped breakfast to head to work.

Xiotan, on the other hand, was enjoying a life of luxury, looking more refreshed and radiant than ever. Her days were simple: wake up, make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then relax. It wasn't that there weren't maids to do it for her; in fact, there were plenty. But she found it absurd to have others do something as basic as cooking. She was still baffled by the day she arrived and found four maids in her room, insisting on bathing her.

It felt ridiculous—she wasn't a child, and no one had ever treated her like that before. Jinxin explained that it was because she was now a princess, and this was how things were done. But to Xiotan, who had never been pampered in her life, it was awkward and unnecessary.

Since moving in, she had refused to let anyone prepare her meals. However, by the time she got to the kitchen, everything was already laid out for her, with maids and even guards hovering nearby to ensure she was alright. They all adored her for her friendly demeanor, always rushing to her aid, whether it was getting water, picking up something she dropped, or even offering to feed her. Xiotan was exasperated by all this attention—she had hands, after all.

Her relationship with Li Cheng, however, remained distant. He would leave at 8 AM and return at 10 PM, often without her seeing him at all. He leaves when she's still asleep and come back when she's asleep.

It felt like he had married her and then left her at home. She was growing increasingly frustrated with the situation, though she hadn't yet decided to confront him about it.

She knows things will soon change, she hadn't just had his time.

After taking her bath, she put on a beautiful blue knee-length gown. All the clothes available to her were formal, and she realized she needed to go shopping for some casual wear to lounge around in. Despite being married for a month, she hadn't ventured out to shop, perhaps out of fear, uncertainty about the right time, or because she wasn't sure how to ask Li Cheng for money.

But she had made up her mind to ask him tonight when he got back from work.

As she descended the stairs, the maids were already in place, waiting for her with everything prepared for her breakfast.
