Ariel Mackenzie is a tough and resilient woman who has always put her son, Jason, first, she could even go up the sky and pluck the moon for him. But when the assassin organization she works for demands the head of Jason's father, Vincent, Ariel is faced with a difficult decision, should she risk her future relationship her child, or save it by not completing the mission, which has dire consequences. Going back to her hometown did not only open up old wounds but it created new ones, secrets that were meant to be kept in the dark were brought to light, betrayals were made and and some relationships were broken.
Aubrey Drew, Ariel's mother, and Diana grew up from the same hometown as children.
They were both born into poor households who feed from hand to mouth, and went to the same public school back then having to trek miles to school just because of the distance between it and home.
The only difference between them both was Aubrey was pretty since she was a little girl that even Diana's own parents adored her.
She had long blonde hair and ocean blue eyes that sparkled anytime she saw something that made her happy.
As little as they were back then, boys in the neighbourhood would cut off flowers from their mother's garden just to give it to her.
Diana didn't know at what point she started hating Aubrey, she just found out some day that seeing Aubrey sometimes made her want to stab that pretty face of her's.
By the time they got to highschool, Aubrey's dad managed to strike gold gaining a high position at a company in the city.
