Guardian Hunters

After picking up the Beyond-God-Level Essence Crystal from the cockroach-like Demon's body, which was still moving creepily even after we dissected it, Ember guided me to where the Void Elemental Guardian was.

We walked a few kilometers more before finally reaching a certain place.

There, a small goth girl was sitting down, looking depressed and battered, while leaning against a large purplish-black crystal pillar. She had big, round eyes and flowing purple, wavy hair, making her almost look like a doll.

"Oh, 'tis thou, young challeng'r..."

The goth girl spoke in an old-fashioned way, surprising me quite a bit. 

"Didst thee defeat mine own nemesis?"

Despite the cute tone of her voice, t's a tad hard to keepeth listening to h'r speaketh. Oh, I got infected... Anyway, Ember quickly nodded before presenting the Essence Crystal to her.

"We did. Here's the proof. Though its body still seemed to be alive, thrashing around back there."
