Blood Rain Assault

Lin Cian was so drained out that he suffered mental trauma. The demon's eyes always gave him an upper hand but now it made it worse. When he arrived with others in the village of Lassi everyone saw the ground filled with blood but what others didn't see was Lin Cian used his 'demons eyes'.

Unlike others, Lin Cian saw the boiling blood on the ground where the spirits of the people were lingering. Lin Cian was so shocked to see the wandering spirits but chose to be silent. When the spirits found that Lin Cian can see them they immediately came together toward Lin Cian and pester him. That is when Lin Cian was scared and ran away towards the exit of the village. The spirits show him the suffering of their people and the brutality of the beasts. He saw the heartless way the men were attacked. He witnessed the ruthless manner the beasts assaulted the women. When he saw the things the beasts have done with the children added weight to his heart.

He fell to his knees because he couldn't take it anymore. His body felt sore. He felt like his heart was stopped for hours. His head felt heavy. His hands were shaking and his legs were trembling like crazy. His body spilled out the sweat and he looked like he fell into the water. That's when the spirits pointed out the area where the people of their village were. Lin Cian lied that he heard the noise of them screaming and crying.

When the other members saw that Lin Cian couldn't take it they decided to leave him with June who wanted to stay with him in the village. After they left only June and Lin Cian were in the village. June helped him walk to a safe place but before they could move Lin Cian once again fell to his knees and started to mumble something. June who watched this suddenly felt something was wrong. She also fell to her knees and started to call out his name. She held his shoulders and tried to speak to Lin Cian who was still mumbling about something. Suddenly tears rolled out of his eyes and he started to cry this time June could hear what he was mumbling.

"I am sorry... I am sorry... I can't help you... please... I am not very strong..." He started to blabber and cry. Seeing this June embraced him and tried to comfort him but he cried like a child in her embrace. She couldn't understand that he was answering to the spirits who were tormenting him. But June didn't let him go of her embrace and comforted him as much as she could. Her eyes also started to become wet. She made long breaths. After a few minutes, Lin Cian started to get to his senses and started to breathe rapidly. Seeing that Lin Cian has stopped crying June let him go of her embrace and started to talk to him.

"Randell, are you fine?"

"Are you ok?"

Whatever she asked him his only answer was to stare at her. This time he stared into her eyes. This made June worry about him. Before she could say anything

"Sister, protect me. Will you?" Lin Cian said in a miserable tone.

"Sis... Sister?" her eyes widened as those words lit her up and she let go a short laugh unconsciously. She was very happy to hear those words as if they were a spell to boost her. She nodded deliberately as she looked at Lin Cian who was breathing heavily and rapidly with a gentle smile and wiped his tears. She smiled at him while inhaling a heavy breath and nodded once again at him with a smile on her face.

"I will," said June. 'I won't let you die again' she said to herself.

Lin Cian stared at her for a moment and crossed his legs and started to meditate. June stood as and guarded him while holding her staff in her hand. After a few minutes, they heard a loud noise. A loud howl was heard for a huge area. June's face and posture became tensed as she stared in the direction of the howl came from. It was exactly the same direction where her husband and her teammates went to. She was stuck for a moment not knowing what to do. But she chose to believe the members of her party to come back safe and sound. Again after a few minutes, she heard Lin Cian murmuring something as he was meditating.

Suddenly the red fluid which covered the ground around them started to evaporate. That's when the noise of a group of men blabbering invades the ears of June. Not very long after that, she could see a group of 5 men coming toward them. When those men saw a young woman standing guard for a young man their thoughts went crazy. Those men acted like psychopaths. They gestured to each other to make a move.

Upon knowing their intentions June didn't lower her guard. She stood in front of Lin Cian who is recuperating with her staff. Seeing this one of the men said

"Young lady we are not bad people. Why are you standing against us?" in a creepy tone while licking his lower lip which made June disgusted. The five men jumped towards June but she tactfully dodged and hit them if possible. But one of the men who found out her weakness rushed towards the young man sitting on the ground.

He looked to be in his thirties. He had a great build and strong body with brown colored hair and was 2 meters in height. He was wielding a broadsword. When June saw him rushing towards Lin Cian she tried to stop him but was kicked off from behind and she fell on her face. She didn't seem to care about her legs being crushed under the feet of the barbaric man standing in front of her.

"No... Randell run" she screamed at seeing one of the men rushing towards Lin Cian. Upon seeing that June was captured the man who rushed towards Lin Cian retreated and moved towards June. The one who trapped her let go of her legs which were being crushed under his feet. The young woman screamed in pain. She turned herself up and tried to raise. The men didn't care about anything and stepped on her stomach and made her not raise. Her cries surely invaded Lin Cian's ears but there was no response from his side.

One of the men sat behind her and hold her head and her arms together and two others hold and spread each of her legs. The man who came to attack Lin Cian stood in front of her with a creepy smile. June stared at his face for a moment while panting heavily. She couldn't accept it. Then he started to remove his clothes.

"No... no... please..." she begged them. As if her screams were heard out

'Boom'

A loud roar of thunder made a chill enter their spine. What they saw the next moment was the man who was ready to assault June was fell to his knees as a corpse near them. His whole body was burned and his body looked black.

"Kill them all. keep her safe" a serious tone resounded in the area. June was still in shock but the other men were killed on the spot by the one who was killed by the lightning. He turned into a pupped and killed the other men who were holding June.

When June came to her senses what she saw was the men who tried to assault her were lying dead near her and the sky was roaring like crazy with lightning and thunder as it was angry toward the men trying to harm her.

Suddenly she remembered a commanding voice and recognized that was Lin Cian. Her legs were injured but she got up in her legs and started to move toward Lin Cian.

"Let the spirits around me hear. Protect thy people, harm none of my people, as for others, not my concern, let it rain and blood may run" as the words slipped out little by little from the tongue the sky started to roar crazily. The sound of thunder was heavy and loud. June covered her ears with her hands because of the loud noise of the thunder. Despite the pain she was suffering she ran towards Lin Cian and a strange phrase entered her ears.
