(3rd POV)

The entire gang stared at Wei Yang, puzzled by his sudden outburst. He stood there, fixated on seemingly empty air.

Nie Li, breaking the silence, voiced his concern, "Wei Yang, is something wrong?"

Wei Yang, feeling a bit embarrassed, replied, "No, nothing at all. I just remembered something urgent, and I need to leave right now."

"Alright, but before you go, let me share my plan to make some money," said Nie Li. He suggested buying bows, arrows, and herbs and asked everyone to meet at the school's training ground.

After exchanging goodbyes with the gang, Wei Yang walked towards the school's training ground, entering after a brief conversation with the guards.

'Hey, system,' Wei Yang mentally called out.

[Yes, host.]

'What exactly are you, and what's your purpose?' Wei Yang inquired, excitement building over the prospect of having his own set of cheats.

[Yes, host, I am the avatar system assigned to you. I serve as an assistant to guide you on how the system operates. The avatar system allows you to transform into any living being, past, present, or future. You can acquire these avatars through quests and various means.]

'Wow, so does that mean I gain the strengths and talents of these avatars? Can I transform into anything from regular beasts to mythical creatures and even historical figures?' Wei Yang asked eagerly, throwing some punches into the air in his excitement.

[Yes, host, and you can even transform into your favorite anime characters.]

'Oh my days of Santa!' Wei Yang was so engrossed in the possibilities that he momentarily forgot about the people passing by, giving him odd looks.

'Alright, how do I get quests?' Wei Yang asked, shifting focus to the practical aspect.

[Host has two types of quests: daily quests, indicated by the name "daily," and situational quests, triggered by meeting specific conditions. Situational quests often come with penalties if left unfulfilled.]

'Really? So, what's my daily quest for today?' Wei Yang inquired, ready to dive into anything that could make him stronger.

The system promptly provided the requested information.

[Daily quest: Kill any 10 beasts.

Time Limit: 24 hours

Penalty: None

Reward: One random avatar spin]

(MC POV)

'Doesn't sound too bad for a first quest,' I thought as I ventured deep into the training ground, scouting for potential targets.

After a while, I spotted a goat-like creature, noticeably larger than the average goat. Stealthily hiding in the bushes, I launched a surprise attack on its neck with a powerful chop. The beast staggered, allowing me to follow up with a hammer kick to its head, and a series of relentless punches and kicks.

After a prolonged struggle, the beast succumbed to my attacks, lying lifeless on the ground.

'Hmm, I'm getting closer to bronze rank, and I thought this would be more challenging,' I mused, realizing my existence was more of a creation than a canonical character.

'Well, nine more to go,' I thought, determined to complete the quest. I repeated the process, successfully taking down nine more goat-like creatures.

[Daily quest completed]

[You got: Siberian Tiger (Poor)]

'Interesting, there are ranks in this system?' I asked the system, slightly surprised that a Siberian Tiger fell under the "Poor" category.

[Yes, host, the ranks include:

- Poor

- Decent

- Good

- Great

- Hero

- Legendary

- Mythical

- Demi God

- God

Note that the chance of obtaining anything beyond the Hero rank in a random avatar spin is extremely low and usually only possible through situational quests.]

'Well, I'm just grateful to have these cheats,' I thought, relieved that my avatar wasn't a random frog or toad.

'So, how do I transform?' I asked the system.

[Host, simply call out the avatar's name, and you can transform into it.]

'Alright, noted,' I thought, making a mental reminder to test it later, given that transforming here might not be the best idea.

'I should head out and wait for Nie Li and the gang,' I thought, making my way towards the gate. As I approached the exit, I spotted her—Xiao Ning'er. Despite her beauty, as portrayed in the comic, I chose to ignore her for now and continued towards the gate.

Familiar faces of Nie Li, Lu Pao, and Du Ze greeted me as I called out to them.

(3rd POV)

"Do you have everything, Nie Li? Apologies for not being able to assist with the purchases," I said in an apologetic tone.

"Yeah, got everything. No need to apologize; I pretty much bought everything," Lu Piao replied with his usual nonchalant demeanor.

Both guys nodded, and we entered the training grounds, preparing our bows and arrows with the paralyzing potion Nie Li had concocted.

"That Nie Li, he actually told me to be the bait. Simply outrageous!" Lu Piao exclaimed, watching as a Horned Sheep charged towards him. Fear seized him, causing him to stumble backward as he fled.

Meanwhile, Wei Yang, Du Ze, and Nie Li remained hidden in the bushes, armed with crossbows. Attempting to concentrate on hitting the moving target, I failed twice, but the third arrow found its mark, causing the sheep to fall and jerk its body.

"Impressive, you got it," Nie Li acknowledged, giving me a thumbs up, while Du Ze nodded in approval.

'You're damn right,' I thought to myself, chuckling a bit, and replied firmly, "Ah, not really."

Nie Li directed us to collect the horns, fur, and eyes of the beast, and we efficiently carried out the task, concluding with the Horned Sheep.

After a long day of farming, we decided to call it quits, only to realize it was already the next morning. We forced ourselves to attend class, sleeping through all the sessions. This routine continued for a couple of weeks until we had enough money.

One morning at Holy Orchid Institute, as we headed towards our class, I remarked, "Man, I am dead tired. We got 10k demon spirit coins," glancing at Nie Li for a reaction, to which he simply nodded.

Everybody sat together, Nie Li, Lu Piao, and Du Ze at one table, with Wei Yang and the two guys who stood up for Nie Li behind them.

I browsed through the system, evaluating what I had gained from doing daily quests for the past couple of days.

(MC POV)

'Man, I thought the daily quests were going to be tougher, but I'm disappointed,' I thought, receiving quests like doing 1000 push-ups, killing 5 beasts, having a sparing session, etc. Simple tasks, yet each contributed to making me stronger.

The items I received from the quests were:

[- Earth Drake (Good)

- Intermediate Alchemist (Decent)

- Eagle (Poor)

- Goat (Poor)]

'The best thing I got is the Earth Drake, and the system said it is equivalent to a black gold rank fighter in this world, which is the best trump card I have,' I thought, excited about the potential and the chance to learn alchemy.

As I pondered this, the class suddenly fell silent. I raised my head to see that Xiao Ning'er had bought something for Nie Li. The entire class seemed furious, their anger palpable.

Nie Li, reserved as ever, did not say anything, but the loud exclamations from Du Ze and Lu Piao saying 'accept, accept' prompted him to accept the breakfast Xiao Ning'er had made for him.

'Poor girl, Nie wouldn't accept her for being herself; he would do it out of pity because he is fixated on Ye Ziyun,' I thought. They also invited me to join them and have some cookies Xiao Ning'er made.

"Cookies are delicious. Thanks for them," I said, complimenting Xiao Ning'er. She smiled at me and then looked towards Nie Li.

'Man, I feel bad for her,' I thought as I returned to my desk, keeping my head down and contemplating what I should do about her situation.

I've noticed some improvement, but I would appreciate feedback for further enhancement. Additionally, I hope you are enjoying the story!
