Joshua's First Tamed Beast

Upon arriving back home, Joshua paid off the carriage driver before carrying all his packages inside and locking the door behind him.

Joshua wasn't in a hurry to tame the young python since it was still an Unranked Beast who's soul wasn't strong enough yet to survive the fragmentation that would be caused by the taming contract.

Therefore, Joshua first cause of action was to help the young python evolve into a Rank One Common Grade Beast which he began doing by filling a bathtub with water and pouring the ginseng portion inside before manipulating his soul power to guide the young python to soak it's entire body inside it after freeing it from it's cage and feeding it one of the two Metallic Beast, Beast core.

Unlike their human counterparts who cultivated by refining origin energy into soul power and fusing it into their soul in order to increase the total amount of soul power harnessable by them.

And would only spare a small amount of this origin energy in refining their bodies after reaching Rank Five Beast Apprentice Realm.

Every Beast in this world grew instinctively cultivated by refining their bodies with every ounce of origin energy they passively absorb.

Fortunately for them, as their bodies grows stronger, so does their souls.

Gurrrhh....!

Joshua's stomach suddenly rumbled at this very moment, reminding him that he he hadn't eaten anything all morning yet.

Having no other cooking ingredients at home other than the horned rabbit meat. Joshua could only prepare the same dish he did yesterday by stuffing cut pieces of horned rabbit meat, golden carrots, green pepper and so on the into the pot and letting it cook for half an hour before digging in.

When he was done eating, Joshua took a quick glance and saw the young python still squiggling inside the bathtub with some not too big or small changes to it previous looks.

Not only was it now over a metre longer but it's skin now had some faint metallic luster on it which in turn gave it a much tougher and sharper feeling.

"That's good" Joshua commented inwardly while nodding his head.

Taking off his clothes as he walked into his room, Joshua then sat legs crossed on the floor as he filiped open the body cleansing serum and drank up it's entire content.

He soon felt a hot stream of energy begin circulating through the exact same meridians he usually circulate origin energy through whenever he's cultivating.

Different from the warm and smoothening feeling he usually experience while cultivating, this hot stream of energy gave off a burning sensation which made Joshua feel as if every meridian it follows through was set ablaze.

As this took place, waves of black sticky liquid were slowly being flushed out of Joshua body through the pores of his skin and this continued for over one hour before coming to an end.

"Arhhhh.....!" Joshua immediately screamed loudly to drive away all his pent up feelings of endurance as he forcefully stood up.

Noticing that his whole body was now completely covered in black sticky liquid which also gave off a disgusting smell. Joshua's eyes slanted as he thought inwardly "Just as I had suspected, this body meridians were completely riddled with impurities and this in turn, caused it's previous owner to spend five years cultivating in order to advance into a Rank One Beast Apprentice since his cultivation speed was over ten times slower than everyone else".

"I don't know if I should feel grateful to him for being too dumb to consider such a possibility and doing something about it or else I wouldn't have been lucky enough to still be alive right now" Joshua added with a weak smile as he walked into the bathroom and took a nice long bath to wash off all these impurities.

Before leaving the bathroom, Joshua suddenly remembered that he had no idea what he currently looked like after his unexpected transmigration into this world. And so, he took a quick glance at the mirror only to be amazed by what he saw.

Possessing a height of around 178cm and an athlete body figure together with short black hair, eyebrows and pupils, he also had a smooth fair skin thanks to the clearing away of most of his body impurities earlier.

Joshua appeared to be on the handsome side and would have been the most Ideal person in terms of looks for the ladies of Earth.

"Too bad, this is a world where the strong ruled and nobody would give a damn about a handsome weakling" he then commented with a light chuckle before leaving the bathroom.

The very moment Joshua had walked out of the bathroom and into the parlor, he caught sight of a two feet wide and four metres long python covered in blackish metallic scales which somewhats gave of an indescribable feeling.

Joshua was just a fine line away from fleeing when it suddenly occurred to him "Is this really the young python I had purchased earlier from the village market.

Swallowing a deep breath in order to settle down his still trembling heart, Joshua watched as another series of holographic words slowly appeared between him and the python.

Feeling surprised and elated about the possession of both an innate skill and ability by this metallic python while still being only Rank One, Joshua quickly concentrated his attention on them and easily brought up their descriptions.

Type: Low Rank

Description: Activation of this skill will enable It's user to easily wrap it's body around it's desired target, twisting it extremely in the process.

[Iron Scales (Innate ability)]

Type: Mid Rank

Description: Possessor of this ability has Iron like Scales capability of partly resisting physical damages caused by both sharp and blunt weapons.

Thanks to his inherited memories, Joshua already knew what to expect from the 'Entagle' skill since it was a necessary Innate skill for all python species but the appearance and description of the'Iron scales' Innate ability was a complete suprise.

Since it was a Mid Rank ability rumoured to be found only in High Ranked Common Grade Beast which were equivalent to Rank Seven and above Beast Masters.

Even though this was only a rumour, it was already enough in enlightening Joshua on how high the potential of this Black Python, no, Metallic Python as it should now be called after It's successful mutation into a different subspecies.

Joshua hesitated no longer as he discarded the holographic words away with a mental command and manipulated his soul power towards the tip of his index finger and used it to draw some inconceivable rune symbols on mid air while also speaking with a solemn tone at the same time.

"I Joshua Norman, a member of the human race now beseech you, a Rank One Common Grade Metallic Python to become my Tamed Beast. A Tamed Beast capable of fighting for me, protecting me and continuously watching over me. For we shall share wee and woe together and return I will do everything within my power to assist you in becoming a pinnacle existence in this world".

The words that came out of Joshua's mouth were daring enough to shake even the very soul of any passerby who hears it but luckily enough, there wasn't even a single soul within a kilometre of his house.

With the end of his words, the hexagram diagram filled with runes drawing and writings by Joshua gave off a soft glow before shrinking to the size of an inch and imbeding itself on to the Metallic Python forehead.

Joshua soon felt as if something had now been added to his soul and there was now a slight connection between him and this Metallic Python which have been silently observing him for the past couple of minutes.

He could also notice that it's eyes which were formally cold and distant now had a faint feeling of warmth and closeness in them.

Hiss....!!!

The Metallic Python hissed with it's slim long tongue flickering about and then rubbed it's head against Joshua's chest. Smiling, Joshua proceeded to stroke it's head in return.
