Chapter 7 Libra Class

As the door opened, Standing on the other side of the door was a girl with white hair and red eyes. Upon seeing Jaylen in front of her she smiles.

She turns her head off to the side and yells while maintaining her smile. "Hey look, it's Jaylen, I told you he'd be in the same class Brandon."

"It's good to see you too Sarah," Jaylen responded back with a small nod.

Sarah's striking appearance is crowned by a cascade of white hair that flows like silk, framing her face in an ethereal halo. Her eyes, the color of rubies, hold a mesmerizing depth, reflecting both the wisdom and mystery that accompany her vampiric heritage. With a well-toned and curvaceous physique, she carries herself with grace, leaving an indelible impression on those who cross her path.

"Yeah it's been a long time hasn't it." Sarah answered with a look of reminisce and Melancholy

"Well, we'll have to talk more when we have a chance," Jaylen replied, walking by her to find a seat before the teacher arrived.

"Yeah we should" Sarah whispers a small smile gracing her face as she returns to her seat

Making his way to the back of the class Jaylen eventually takes his seat in the middle of the back row where no one sat.

'I wonder when the teacher will arrive. They didn't really tell us much. Maybe I should have asked Lilith when I talked to her at the front gate.'

While in contemplation Jaylen's gaze begins to wander the intricately designed classroom when his eyes look onto a familiar face in the front row, who he seemed to miss earlier.

'Yuki'

Wanting to speak to her but before he could, the door snaps open as the teacher walks in and greets everyone with a cold expression the complete opposite of her hair.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Xirenia Saris. I'll be your teacher for the next three years. Throughout your time here, you can address me as teacher, sensei, or Miss Xirenia."

Xirenia Saris, a woman in her mid-20s, commands attention with her striking appearance. Her bright red hair flows down to her shoulders, a fiery cascade that complements the intensity of her persona. Despite her youthful age, her stunning figure exudes a quiet confidence and an air of authority.

Dressed in the standard school staff outfit, Xirenia wears a white button-up shirt that exudes an air of formality. The emblem of the school staff, a green snake, adds a touch of symbolism to her attire. The black pants she wears complement the overall aesthetic, completing the authoritative and disciplined look that mirrors her no-nonsense demeanor.

'Xirenia Saris, where did I hear that name before? Ah, I remember—a truly talented person, a prodigy who reached the True Sage Realm at the age of 20. I remember father saying 'in a few years time she could even surpass him.'

"Now I want everyone to introduce themselves, so who's first?" Miss Xirenia question is met with silence as no one wants to go first and embarrass themselves.

"Okay then, you go first" pointing at a random student Miss Xirenia makes them go first. 

"Ah okay um I'm…" the chosen student begins his introduction.

While listening to one of his classmates' introductions, Jaylen's mind began to wander as he contemplated what he should share in his own introduction. He also found himself curious about what Yuki or Sarah might choose to say.

Upon the next student's turn a cold melodious voice fills the classroom waking Jaylen from his thoughts.

"Hello everyone my name is Yuki Heartfall"

Yuki Heartfall, a member of the family of witches. Yuki's beauty is a symphony of contrasts; her figure, slender and well-toned, exudes a subtle strength, while her light blue hair and red eyes create an otherworldly allure. Yuki's ethereal appearance and enigmatic aura make her a captivating presence.

"Is that it?" Miss Xirenia, confused by the short introduction, asked only to be met with a nod from Yuki. "Alright then next."

"Me I'm next" a cheerful voice echo's next

"Hello, everyone. I'm Sarah Eliodoro, a natural-born vampire. As you already know, I'm part of one of the ancient families, just like Yuki. I'm looking forward to enjoying my time with all of you, but be warned, if you cross my bottom line, you might become my snack." A menacing smile revealed Sarah's fangs, causing many in the class to gulp nervously.

"Okay, then I guess I'll go after her," another student spoke up after Sarah.

"Ahem, nice to meet everyone. My name is Brandon Astros. I'm this foolish vampire's fiancé."

"Hey!"

"If anyone needs help with any of the main elements, I would be more than willing to assist. Also, Jaylen, I will steal the number one spot from you, so keep it warm for me."

Brandon, a 16-year-old scion, emerges as a prominent figure. Hailing from a lineage renowned for mastering the basic magical affinities, Brandon stands at the intersection of tradition and destiny. With his brown hair and piercing yellow eyes, he exudes an air of quiet confidence, a testament to the magical prowess embedded within his family lineage.

'We'll see about that, Brandon I won't give it away without a fight' Jaylen retorts in his mind gladly accepting Brandon's challenge.

Then as the last member of the ancient families I believe I should also begin my introduction. Jaylen stands ready to introduce himself.

"I'm Jaylen Orpheus, the top transcendent of our year. As I mentioned during orientation, I welcome any challengers, and I won't back down without a fight. Oh, and while I have your attention, Yuki, I have some questions I'd like to ask."

Jaylen's words sent ripples throughout the class as many were eager to challenge him as the rewards for being the top transcendent of the year is very tempting for everyone.

"What a remarkable introduction from four of this year's transcendent students. I hope they will ponder the meaning of their words and consider competing with them. However, as that concludes the introductions, let's move on to the next lesson," Miss Xirenia offered advice, encouraging everyone to take the Transcendents words seriously and to embrace the challenge.

"First, let's do a little recap. Hmm, we don't have a lot of time, so let's go over something that's helpful for the start of the next class. What are the cultivation realms that we use to better harness the energies of this world?" Upon finishing her words, Miss Xirenia took a seat on her desk.

Hands shot up seeking permission to answer, everyone eager to answer the question, before all but one dropped, after Miss Xirenia pointed toward a student. "Go ahead and speak, Yuki."

"The main stages are split into different groups upon starting your journey. Um, how many of the stages do I talk about?"

"Oh, Um, let's only talk about the first two, as many of you are probably only just starting to finish the first set of realms."

"Okay, the first set is called the Initiation Realms. These realms contain the Body refinement realm, the Mana gathering realm, and the Mana refinement realm."

"Great, I'll take it from here."

"In the Body refinement realm, you refine your body. In what order do we refine them?" once again everyone's hand shot up

"Miss Xirenia, I know," another student with glasses speaks.

"Go ahead, Jackson."

"The order would be; Bones, Skin, Muscle, Organs, Nerves, and Finally the Mana pathways."

"Great, after that it's Mana gathering. Will someone tell me why we need to gather this mana?" This time only a few hands went up.

"I know this one," another student with a bulky appearance speaks and with a quick nod Miss Xirenia signals him to speak.

"It's to gather mana to form our crystal seed so that it can tell us which profession is best for us."

"Another great answer, finally what about the Mana refinement realm?" Miss Xirenia asks as one student eagerly raises her hand. "Sarah."

"During this stage, you purify the mana to feed the crystal seed to grow it into a sapling." Whispers from other students echoed around as she answered, with most expressing how they were still in this realm, others complaining about the difficulty, and some confidently stating that they would reach this realm soon.

"Okay, now what about after those realms?" Once again she points towards Yuki. "Yuki again."

"The next set is called the Awakening Realms. These realms are Elemental Attunement, Mana pool, and Mana domain."

"Is this the set of realms the transcendent students are in?" one student whispers to his friend, who answers with a nod of her own.

"Why are they called this?" pointing towards the next student. "Brandon, go."

"They get this name from the bottleneck that you have to get through to reach these realms."

"What is the name we use for this bottleneck?" Out of everyone in the class, only four people raise their hands. The other clearly did not know this information.

Staring at the only four who could raise their hands, she calls out, "Jaylen, your turn."

"We call it the First Dream. It's when the cultivator enters a sleep-like state where anything can happen, as it's different for everyone."

Standing up, Miss Xirenia ends class as she walks towards the door. "Okay, well done. We'll stop here as no one in the class has reached the next realm after Elemental Attunement."

"Tomorrow for class, please come to the practice room." The last echoes of her voice are carried over as the door closes behind her.

After the door closes chatter starts to fill the class once again as everyone begins to figure what's going to happen next class. 

"Dude what do you think we are going to do in the next class," The bulky student named Perry asked Jackson.

"I don't know man but I believe it should be fun," Jackson replied.

"Mia do you think i should wear this or this" another student converses with her friend

"I think this looks better on you Kelly" Another student jumps into their conversation.

"Hey jaylen what do you think we could be doing in the next class for Sensei to ask us to go to the practice?" Sarah walks over while dragging Brandon curiously questions.

"I don't know, maybe weapon practice or something." retorts back a random response.

"I figure will know next class won't we" added Brandon as he crossed his arms

"Hey where's Yuki going" Sarah points out Yuki's departing figure.

"Huh, hey Yuki wait up" Jaylen seeing Yuki leave quickly gets up and dashes after her. Curious but seemingly confused about her quick departure. 

"Sigh, those two never change, do they?" Sarah and Brandon both shake their heads in disappointment.
