A new World

Neo slowly stirred awake, still reeling from the shock of what he had heard the night before. As his senses began to focus, he suddenly realized that something was off about his surroundings. The room he was in was vastly different from his own bedroom. Everything was enormous, from the bed to the table on the opposite side of the room, even the window on the left seemed unnaturally large. It was as if the room was built for giants.

Jumping out of bed, Neo made his way to the large mirror next to the table, his heart pounding in his chest. What he saw in the reflection stunned him. He was no longer the teenage boy he once was, but a handsome child of around four years old with striking golden eyes and long white hair that cascaded down his back like a waterfall. It was a sight unlike anything he had ever seen before, and he found himself struggling to make sense of it all.

Drawing on his knowledge of manga and novels from his high school days, Neo quickly pieced together what had happened. He had been reincarnated or transmigrated into someone else's body, and the design of his room indicated that he was either in a different world or in a time far removed from his own.

As he tried to wrap his head around these bewildering revelations, he heard a soft knocking at the door, followed by the entrance of a stunning young girl.

"Master Neo, good morning. My lord and lady request your presence for breakfast," the girl announced as she entered the room. Neo took a moment to assess the situation, realizing that he was in a different world or time. He looked at the girl, who was beautiful and appeared to be in her teenage years, and calmly responded, "Thank you, I will join them shortly."

After the girl left, Neo's mind wandered into the depth of his thoughts, and he began to recollect some crucial details of his current life. He realized that he was four years old and just remembered his old life. Somewhat his name was still Neo and the world he was now in was much different from his old world. The technology was not as advanced but the usage of magic makes it easier to live. This world was called Angbotain, known as the "terrain of angels and demons." This planet was colossal, much larger than the sun of his former world, and it was inhabited by various races such as elves, orcs, dwarves, and many more. It was a world of swords and magic, where wars were always happening, mostly between the three main alliances that ruled the planet.

The Forsaken was one of the alliances consisting of evil-oriented races, including orcs, goblins, and kobolds, and was ruled by demons. On the other hand, the grand alliance was led by angels and comprised of elves, dwarves, beastmen, nymphs, and merfolk. These two sides had been at war for millions of years, and the grand alliance had always maintained the upper hand. The third alliance was called the Undecided, made up of weak or neutral races, including humanity, who had always been weak in overall strength. The dragons were the only ones responsible for protecting and maintaining this alliance, but no one had seen them in a millennium, adding a sense of mystique and wonder to the already mysterious world of Angbotain.

Neo's father, Theon Wilder, is a baron and a knight with otherworldly powers who serves in the Sovereignty of Man, while his grandfather is a seasoned knight who fought in wars and earned enough recognition to earn nobility and land in a distant location far from the capital. On the other hand, his mother, Darcey Wilder, is the daughter of his grandfather's childhood friend and is a mage herself.

After sorting through all these new memories, Neo quickly got dressed and made his way to the mansion's dining hall. As he entered, he saw his new parents sitting and waiting for him. Despite only having gained the memories of his new body, Neo felt a deep sense of affection for his new parents.

As Neo entered the dinner hall, his mother greeted him with love in her eyes, "Good morning son, how did you sleep?" His father, on the other hand, was more direct, "You're late for breakfast." Neo knew that his father loved him, but his cold exterior made it hard to see it. "I apologize father, it won't happen again," Neo replied respectfully.

As he sat eating his breakfast beside his mother, Neo contemplated his future in this new world. He knew he wanted to become a powerful mage or a skilled knight, and his mind was made up. With determination in his voice, he turned to his father and said, "Father, I want to start training."

His mother's expression changed instantly, the color draining from her face as she raised her voice in protest. "You're too young for training! You need time to grow up first," she exclaimed.

Neo's father stood there in silence for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. He ignored his wife's protest and instead asked, "Just last month you said you didn't want to train. What changed your mind?"

Determined, Neo replied, "I've come to understand that only the strong survive. Humanity could perish at any moment if a stronger race were to attack. And I've realized that true freedom can only come through personal power."

Neo waited for his father's response. "Training will be grueling," his father finally said, "and you'll experience pain beyond what you can imagine. Are you absolutely sure this is what you want?"

"Yes, father. I am certain of my decision and fully prepared to devote myself to gaining power," he said with conviction.

After his father left, Neo's mother scolded him for his decision, but Neo was determined and explained his reasons to her. He told her that he wanted to be strong to protect those he loved and to have the freedom to make his own choices. His mother eventually gave in, but warned him about the dangers of magic and the importance of balance between power and responsibility.

Neo saw his mother crying and took her hand, looking at her with concern. "Don't worry, Mother. I will be careful during my training," he said reassuringly. She looked back at him with her golden eyes and remarked, "Your eye color is like mine, but your determination is just like your father's. I wouldn't be able to stop you, could I?" Neo replied confidently, "No, Mother, I am sure of my path." She took a deep breath and warned him, "The path to power is a difficult one, full of pain and suffering. Please don't regret it afterwards." She smiled at him and kissed his cheek, showing her support for his decision.

After conversing with his mother for a while, Neo retired to his room and lay down on his bed, contemplating his new life. The thought of starting anew in a world full of magic and mythical creatures was both thrilling and daunting. He knew that the path he had chosen would not be an easy one, but he was determined to become strong and powerful, to achieve greatness and earn his place in this world. "This life is going to be quite intriguing," he mused to himself.
