"You think I'm obsessed of power?" He took one step forward towards me, my whole system stiffened. My heart drum inside my chest and my breath hitch with excitement and fear. "Seems like it," "There are two things I'm obsessed of," He held me tightly as he wrapped his rough hand around my wrist. I tried to wiggle free against his strong hold. "I... I don't care," my voice came out ghastly. "One," the thickness of his voice laced through my skin. "You are my obsession," "Two..." He slurs. "Pinning you in my bed, chained, and screaming my name from unbearable pleasure until you past out." And his eyes have become so dark, they would be able to swallow me whole. "You're a nutcase," my lips quivered as his fingers trailed against the small part of my neck. "You, in my bed, legs spread wide open...chained and screaming my name until you beg me to stop." His adams apple bobs in his throat as his hand tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "You like that about me, my unhinged mind and how I f*ck you rough my love, let me remind you of that." My breath deepened and I fought the need to kiss him or lick my lips as an invitation. ************** Shiloh battles against her complicated life everyday. Being a part of weak witches in their town she is known to be dumb and mute girl who sells faulty potions for a bag of elixirs while her brother is thriving in the famous academia. Yet one night her peaceful life came crashing down. She was kissed by a vampire! She was intoxicated and addicted to the man's sweet lips. But her addiction is fatally wrong for vampires are being hunt and killed for 'safety'. What will she do when the man in the alleyway was a part of her past? The man who loved...and killed her.
My shoes glided smoothly over the damp wet floor, shifting the dagger in my hand without much conscious thought. The Arsuelans took aim, preparing to plunge his sword deep into the vampire's back. Having no idea if iron would work on such creatures as a vampire, I slammed the hilt of the blade into the back of its skull. The crack of iron meeting bone twisted my stomach as the creature stumbled backward, lowering the sword.
I didn't train for my whole life. I was a damsel in distress that sells potions for the day and read books at night.
There is something wrong, my body and hands move on their own while my mind afloats. All I could remember is I kept the dagger my father gave me when I was thirteen because I cherished it more than my mom.
The spirit's head cocked to the side, and a low moaning sound reached me, coming from the thing's throat and sealed mouth. It stalked toward me.
"Holy chickens," I whispered, swinging back when the creature gave another blow.
"Just go home Shiloh, this doesn't concern you," he bit out.
"This concerns me for your information, you said that these creatures followed me?" I blurted out.
"I'm not very confident about that, maybe it is something else. I'm afraid I do make mistakes." He spat while clashing against the creature's sword.
"Well look at you, so pathetic to get rid of me," I ducked under the Arsuelans hit.
"I have this under control," he looked at me with purse lips, I returned a sweet smile.
He wheeled around, shoving his
sword deep into another creature's chest. The scent of decay reached my nose that it made me gag.
"I want to help…at least," I started toward the creature in front of me.
Bugs from its body started gathering around his stomach down to his thighs. It smiled weirdly and pointed its sword towards me. Thousands of bugs started to crawl downwards into the floor. Horror locked up every muscle in my body and sent my heart pounding.
This is much more horrifying than headless spirits in the forest.
Lifting the sword, I thrust the blade deep into the Arsuelans chest. The creature jerked back, the bugs started turning grey until they popped in unison into ashes.
"Are you okay?" the vampire demanded, stalking towards me. "How much mist did you inhale?"
I let go of my weapons, still trembling from panic and shock.
"Are you okay?" He repeated.
"Y-yeah,"
"Are you sure about that?" He asked, my gaze dragged from the ground to his deep gaze.
Something about his features suddenly softened.
"I-"
A crack of sudden, blinding pain reverberated across the back
of my skull, and then there was simply nothing.
**************************
I took a small breath and then a
deeper one. A tantalizing, fest earthy smell teased my senses.
Him.
I blinked open my eyes.
His features were fuzzy at first, but slowly, the striking lines and angles became clearer. His face was above mine, a few red strands from his hair hanging forward. I didn't notice that he had a few red strands in his hair. Making him more unique.
"You…you look beautiful," I whispered slowly.
His eyes widened slightly, and then thick lashes swept down
halfway.
"I've never seen vampires before, but the tales about your existence proves that vampires don't look like demons in Vale."
"It's my genes showing but not of our entire race looks magnificent as me," he chuckled sexily, the boastful taste of his words didn't even annoy me as any would.
My gaze wandered and the place changed. This is not where we are earlier My head was elevated, resting on
his thigh. A soft mattress calmed my aching back. Everything but my heart stilled. That started galloping like a wild horse.
"Where are we?"
"I brought you to our quarters, I'm worried you were maybe bit by a bug and you didn't notice it at first, you were knocked down for eight hours."
Oh gods, it means it's already late. The books! Luke needed them. I'm so done. And the note of ingredients for my father's cure. Shit.
"Don't worry I also brought your books,"
Relief filled my ass. I started to lift up. He placed his hand on my shoulder, beside the thin strap of the slip, and a soft whirl of energy rippled down my arm.
"You should lay still for a few more moments," he said.
"I need to go home," I muttered.
"I'm afraid the curfew has already started."
Every once in a week before the clock reaches seven in the evening, curfew happens. Anyone who would be seen in streets and out of their houses during the curfew would be detained for fifteen days and need to serve the counselors for a month. And that is a full torture.
"My brother needs the books."
"Your brother can wait,"
"Are you sure the curfew started? They should have warned the people earlier. I didn't heard any warnings. And I don't even know your name, I shouldn't trust you." I peered my eyes towards him.
His expression changed then, his gaze sharpening and lips thinning. "Eiran is my name, and if you don't trust me then go ahead. I won't help you get out of the detention room."
I suddenly remembered that I really have to befriend this vampire. I needed their semen and I can't afford to wait a full month before finding a cure we're not even sure if it'll work as a medication from the divining pools.
"H-how did you know my name? Did you follow me to the back of the library?"
"So many questions,"
I should be more afraid of him than crawling bugs.
"Can't help it,"
He smiled this time no fangs appeared in front of his pearl white teeth. "I'll explain further tomorrow, you need to rest. Toxins may have reached your system badly."
A moment passed.
"I'll sleep outside," I announced.
He clenched his jaw, "If you really don't trust me, I'll leave you here by yourself, since I have a task and I'll make sure to lock the door for your safety,"
Unknown surge of emotions warmed the depths of my heart.
"Thank you…" I shifted my gaze from his.
His back turned against me and walked towards the door.
"Wait-"
He turned and our gaze met. One side of his lips tugged up.
"Do you mind giving me a tablespoon of your semen. I b-badly need them," I swallowed when his eyes widened.
Gods, this day keeps getting worse.
