Getting Familiar first!

Wang Lu picked up a massive bag from his carriage, and the carrots inside were too many to count. He had already pushed aside the information about the wilderness and wanted to focus on how he could carry more carrots around.

No matter how many he ate, he didn't feel any disgust for them. He didn't know if it was safe to leave his carrots on the carriage, and thus conflicted.

"What are you doing? I thought it was something important, but you actually are still struggling with this bad of carrots. Who would steal this from you? Better make sure to collect that saber though, after all its the only thing of value in your carriage." Shi Yi spoke with disdain at how he was treating the carrots like his ancestors when they could eventually just end up his stomach.

"Sigh! What would you know? I at least have to take my carrots with me! It's going to be difficult to find anything sweet. Want one?" He asked as he looked at the two of them.

His offer didn't even seem geniune as he bit down on another carrot, while stuffing more in his sleeve.

Looking at the bag that was still full, he reluctantly picked up the saber.

"Sigh! It seems that each of us will be joining different martial weapon Academy. But I have some confusion as to how each city has an Academy?" He thought as he bit on the carrot as though venting his anger.

"Why do you speak as though you dare not step foot in the Academy?" Xingyue.

Even Shi Yi turned around to listen.

"Do you think I am a fool? The clan set up this Academies in every city not hoping to see miracles, but that rather allow newbies like us a chance at mastering weapons of choice. Weapon training takes time, even for geniuses. The intent behind it is to train in weapons, not to produce experts. Do you think the Academy will have master level trainers?" Wang Lu was very disdainful.

Perhaps others might not be able to tell, but he was very sure that the Wang clan system of management resembled some cooperate entity by a lot. They didn't get themselves involved in loss making business.

A master level individual to the Wang clan, was important to be assigned other tasks in the clan than being a trainer of newbies in wielding weapons.

Each of them had chosen a different path, and even if anyone had the same weapon techniques, the further they went differences would appear in understanding and application.

Such being the case, what Wang Lu said was not wrong. His current saber skills were considered more advanced than most of the trainers. It was also why his grandparents didn't have any worries with him leaving the clan.

The two kids standing beside Wang Lu didn't argue with his reasoning. It was just Shi Yi felt like something was not right, but couldn't put her mind around it.

From the training he had at his grandparents place, Wang Lu already seemed to have grasped onto something. In this world, weeklings didn't deserve even freedom of choice.

Xingyue on the other end felt like something was not right, so he couldn't help but ask, "Is that all?''

Wang Lu looked at Xingyue with a peculiar gaze. "You don't act like a kid your age at all?" He said as he chuckled.

But the moment he said this, the three of them burst into laughter.

It was just a harmonious scene, but only each them knew they never acted their age up to this point. The way Wang Lu spoke was always like as though he was talking to those younger than him.

Xingyue was just too silent, and his nature that had been natured due to the

environment, made him more and more like a withdrawn old man. Perhaps only the two of them had managed to made him appear childish.

Not forgetting Wang Shi Yi, she is as the granddaughter of a powerful elder in the Wang Clan. He was even stronger than Mei Lin. His incarnation had always been wondering around the Wang clan and after getting a grand daughter, he spent most of his time travelling with her until she reached the age of cultivation.

It was not shocking for someone that spent most of her childhood with an old man to exhibit old man behaviour. In a way this three managed the meet and become friends, as such when Wang Lu claimed that Xingyue was acting like an old man,it sounded comical.

It was the case of a thief crying thief.

After they finally become silent, Wang Shi Yi couldn't help but ask was on her mind, "Is the Academy not useful?"

It would be a lie to claim that the Academy was useless, as the Wang clan would have stopped wasting resources on it.

Each city had an Academy and the Academies had different schools under it. Studying under those taking the same path would obviously encourage competition, but that was if others were on your level or close.

Wang Lu didn't think rushing to enter the Academy was the right thing. Only after even half a year to a year, could they make this move.

But Wang Lu said something that seemed to contradict his previous thoughts.

"Who said it wasn't useful? But joining the Academy early wouldn't do us any good. Think about it, how many are at your level of spear or Xingyue's level of sword practice?"

" What we should do it have patience, and perhaps in not time, it would be a perfect place to train in combat, and skills." He said calmly.

He didn't see any reason for rushing to join the Academy.

Wang Lu smilled before saying, "I'm guessing that you guys have been training in your respective weapons for quite some time right? It wouldn't be a good idea to get used to playing it safe."

"Did anyone urge you to join the Academy before you left home?" He asked them and they shook their heads.

"I think we should only join the Academy after getting used to the life in whichever city we ended up in." Wang Lu said after some thought.

But this led to another topic altogether.

"Which city are you aiming for?" Xingyue asked.

"Zhen city!" Wang Lu replied without a second thought.

"Why?" Shi Yi couldn't help but ask this!
