Chapter 3: What is a sword ?

(Roshiu is coming down from the mountain he sees his mom at the front of the house and she has two wooden swords )

( roshiu smiles brighten wide as he is filled with excitement)

Roshiu: mom! ( roshiu yells) wow we start now?

Mom, I'm so excited, please let's start now!!!!

Mom : okay.. Okay roshiu first listen pick up the sword

Roshiu: hmm feels nice wow kinda light…it feels.. Kinda natural holding it .

( roshiu is burning inside as he wants to start)

( roshiu runs and swings remembering the move lancelot did since he never swung a sword his body subconsciously sync with the sword )

( his mom is shocked he counters and send roshiu sword flying )

Mom: So a sneak attack huh?

Roshiu: it's your speciality but i still lost

Mom : of course you lost you went in off instinct i wanted to first teach you how to defend and how to protect your weaknesses

Mom: I will show you how to guard and also show you how to parry in between those. We will find each weakness you have with your sword and I will remember them .

roshiu : I didn't know how much it took to be a swordsman but this keeps getting fun! I will do as you say mom but I promise to win today!

Mom ( smiles) ( inner monologue he never stops to amaze me )

So horizontal , corner , vertical split, mid angle guard, and I will teach you how to parry after I see your weakness with your sword.

mom:Now come! I will attack. I won't tell you how to defend. I showed you the position and movements that you'll need for now . so go off what "feels" right for now.

Roshiu: okay!

Roshiu Inner monologue: moms amazing I'm learning so much from her right now i don't know if my mind can keep up but my eyes for some reason always seems to understand mom more then my brain does so do i trust that "feel" mom was saying with my eyes * roshiu's shocked* this could work i will use this and see how it helps on my path as a swordsman my 'eyes" will be what i fall on for now and my training )

(Roshiu gets in a ready stands )

( mom goes silent … she moves)

Roshiu: where will he attack right , left above? But even if I block, will another attack come after? Ughhh i have no time …huh moms arm is showing faint lines? Huh… do I follow that? Is that it? My "feel" for now? Okay, let's try it ?

(Mom attacks from above)

(Roshiu sees it a second late but is still able to guard )

(Roshiu it worked ! i saw it even if it was faint i saw moms slash for just a second !)

(Roshiu smiles)

(Mom then goes for a second attack )

Wait huh? Woah? Multiple lines and a kic…

( before roshiu could read his movements he was kicked his stomach)

( roshiu hits a tree)

Mom: I gave off bait so you could be confused. You felt my foot coming but you didn't know I was already going to kick before swinging my sword .

Roshiu: (roshiu gets up out of bush ) that hurt.. Kuh i could've died

Mom: I mustn't go easy my son, you won't have an easy way to live but you did well now. From here I taught you all I could. My body isn't as good as it was back then.

Mom : so i have a friend who will train you until your off to see that knight

Roshiu: huh? You knew? I…..

Mom: It's okay, it's your passion. I could never try to take that away from you if this is your destiny. I will help guide you in any way I can . just live as you are. (mom smiles as she turns and heads inside)

Roshiu : (im learning so much in a short time i must work even harder to make mom proud this feeling i won't let go of it finally !) I can be a swordsman!

As his journey continues to embark on a child whose name will soon reign, he will soon meet someone very important to his path of swordsmanship. Next chapter Destiny
