A Sudden Problem, Part 1

Lynn's pov

Today's going to be our first official date.

I'm getting too excited when I kept imagining how our day will turn out. And it's a little embarassing to realize that I'm acting like a kid about this. I know he's the first guy I'm in a relationship, but I really need to get myself together.

"Come on Lynn! Stop being so lame!" I told myself at the mirror.

Gramps who passed by gave me a weird look. "What're you doing all dressed up?"

"I'm going on a dat—I MEAN! I'm going to my friend's house, s-she's throwing a birthday party! H-Hahaha." Shoot, I almost exposed myself to Grandpa.

"You have friends?! I always thought you never had any." EH!?

…it may be a little true (actually, it is an absolute truth), but that hurts my feelings. "How mean!"

He chuckled and patted my back. "I'm just kidding. Go on and have fun."

"Hmph." I rolled my eyes at Grandpa as he left.

For a moment, it kinda bothered me when I recalled the time when Nay and I had a small argument. I'm starting to regret telling him that he had nothing to do with me. Maybe I'll just apologize to him next time.

I sighed and shook this bad feelings off. Today's supposed to be a great one, it's my first date with my boyfriend so I have to be in a good mood!

When I was all done fixing myself, I left in a hurry because I'm running late for the usual time of our meet up. Arriving at the place we usually meet, Cain is already there staring at his phone. "Cain! I'm sorry for being late." I told him.

"Ah, it's fine. I just arrived here as well." Like always, he looks so cool today with his long hair tied up. "We should go now, we wouldn't want to miss the movie!"

"A movie?!" 

"Yeah, I bet you'll love it! So let's go!" He grabbed my hand and had our fingers intertwined.

What the hell! This guy almost gave me a heart attack! Cain can be really sly when there's a chance. Though it's not like I hate it, I wish these kind of moments last forever.

"Ta-dah!~" Cain said as he showed me the poster of the movie we're going to see.

"The Haunting of Harris…" A horror movie? Don't couples usually watch romcoms or just romantic movies?

"I saw this has a 4.8/5 rating on the internet, and I thought we should give it a shot." I never knew Cain was into horror movies, this is a new thing I discovered about him.

"S-Sure, I'm cool with that." I'm not the type who likes to watch this genre, so maybe it's time I try to watch this kind of things since Cain likes it.

After we bought some snacks and smuggled them inside the cinema, we were starting pretty well. My only problem is that the movie is too creepy for me. I'd often hold onto Cain's arm, and it's kinda embarassing how he quietly laughs at me everytime.

He eventually put up the arm rest between us and pulled me into his big cozy arms. Geez, he got me again! "Wanna ditch this movie? I think you're uncomfortable here." He leaned closer to whisper at my ear, and it tickled the heck out of my ear and heart.

"E-Err... it's fine." I think I like it here in his arms better. It also seems like he really wanted to watch this movie.

"Okay, if you say so." He remained hugging me while I quit watching the damn horror movie. It felt so nice to be in his arms, he should hug me forever like this hehe.

And I didn't realize that I already fell asleep in his arms. It was just too comfortable. "Heyyy, wake up Lynn. The movie's over."

"Aw, it is?" I tried to act like I got disappointed in missing the stupid movie.

"Pfft, we can always just watch another horror movie next time." Another horror movie again?!

"A-Ahaha okay." Horror sucks.

"We should grab lunch now. Come on!"

Then we began looking for a nice restaurant to eat at. Maybe this time, we can decide together on a lunch that'll make us both happy. "Hey, let's go over there!" He finally pointed at a restaurant.

"Oh, sure! That place seems—" I didn't expect that he'll want to go at a spicy food restaurant. "Ooh... oh. Spicy... food." I don't think the food there will be able to get along with my stomach.

"Cain, can we—"

"Yeah, we should hurry! There's a lot of people and it might get fully occupied!" He dragged me to the restaurant without a warning and sat me down at the first empty table he saw. "You wait here, I'll order us the best food."

"O-Oh, sure. C-Cool." Cain's really enthusiastic about eating spicy food here.

Oh god, I hope my stomach survive... and as well as the toilet in this restaurant later.
