February 18th
In the morning, Wang Yi stayed at home, enjoying breakfast with his family. Later, he took a walk with Shen Yan around the neighborhood, then boarded a king-class fighter jet, heading to the North Atlantic, off the Bermuda waters.
A few hours later, near the famous Bermuda Triangle in the North Atlantic, a streak of light appeared on the horizon, flying rapidly across the sky. The light streak disappeared, forming into a sleek triangular black fighter, about 20 meters long and over 10 meters wide. The black metal hatch opened, and a young man with black hair, dressed in a gray-black combat suit with red accents, flew out. He stood on a silver-gray shuttle beneath his feet.
He surveyed the surroundings and then glanced at a silver armband, seemingly verifying something before plunging straight into the water. As he dived deeper, a massive white shadow began to appear. As Wang Yi got closer, the shape became clearer — an enormous, pristine pyramid, towering taller than any skyscraper on Earth.
The pyramid showed no signs of decay or damage. There was no mud, algae, or seaweed clinging to it — it was as clean as if it were brand new.
"The spaceship of the Mechanical race," Wang Yi muttered, narrowing his eyes.
The Mechanical race, one of the pinnacle races in the vast universe, were entirely made up of intelligent beings. Their technology had advanced to unfathomable levels.
This pyramid-shaped spaceship was once the immortal vehicle of a member of the Mechanical race, who had perished on Meteorite Star. Immortal beings were capable of feats beyond imagination, like destroying planets with a single punch or traveling at the speed of light. For Wang Yi, despite his near-invincible strength on Earth, immortality was still a distant and unreachable goal.
Wang Yi pondered why the enemies of the Meteorite Star's owner, including a human immortal king, had dared to ally with the Mechanical race to take him down. Such a betrayal could have severe consequences if discovered by the human elite. Unless this treachery occurred outside human territory, the repercussions would be dire.
Wang Yi observed the 1,200-meter-tall pyramid, made entirely of silver-white metal. Its seamless, smooth design resembled a masterpiece of craftsmanship, and Wang Yi couldn't help but admire it.
But he had a mission.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for signing in successfully. You have been rewarded with a 'Primary Intelligent Life.']
[The Primary 'Intelligent Life' (Carrier) has been stored in your panel space.]
[Check-ins available at this location: 0.]
Wang Yi's sign-in panel gained another grid slot. This time, the reward was a smart chip resembling a small memory card, containing a primitive form of intelligent life.
Intelligence in this universe had four levels: basic logic-processing programs, intelligence comparable to human logic, emotional intelligence, and finally, intelligent life.
The intelligent life form Wang Yi received was at the most basic level. While it was not the mechanical clan spaceship he had hoped for, this reward was still valuable. With an intelligent life assistant, navigating the vast universe would become much easier.
While Wang Yi's Black Dragon Adventure Spaceship also had an intelligent optical brain, it paled in comparison to the potential of true intelligent life. Wang Yi contemplated his new acquisition and began thinking of a suitable name for it.
After some thought, he decided.
"I'll call you Bermuda," Wang Yi announced with a smile.
Intelligent Life: "..."
Sign-in Panel: "..."
Reluctantly glancing one last time at the silver-white pyramid, Wang Yi left the Bermuda waters. He found a secluded area at sea and released his Black Dragon Spaceship, careful not to draw attention, as Earth was continuously monitored by various ancient civilization instruments.
Once inside the spacecraft, Wang Yi headed to the control room, where the screen displayed the image of a blue-haired woman. She smiled and welcomed him back.
"Welcome home, Master."
The figure was just a projection of the ship's intelligence, appearing almost human but lacking true emotion.
Wang Yi approached the console and inserted the silver smart chip into a slot. A series of incomprehensible symbols flashed across the screen. Moments later, the display flickered, and the figure reappeared, this time with a livelier expression.
"Master, it's a pleasure to finally meet you," she said cheerfully.
"From now on, you'll be called Bermuda," Wang Yi said, grinning at his new intelligent life assistant.
"Of course, Master," she responded.
"Let's change your appearance," Wang Yi remarked. He wasn't fond of the blue-haired woman's look.
"Certainly, Master. I can take any form you prefer."
Wang Yi pondered for a while before making his choice. After some adjustments, two black-and-white, panda-like creatures with large, dark eyes appeared on the screen, looking curiously at their own new forms.
"Perfect!" Wang Yi clapped his hands, satisfied.
Thus, Wang Yi's intelligent life assistant, Bermuda — in the form of a panda — was born.
