"Huh!"
Luo Feng opened his eyes, jumped up suddenly, and retreated swiftly.
"Where am I..."
Only then did Luo Feng take in his surroundings. He was in an ornate, semi-circular hall. In front of him stood a black, virtual figure, which let out a proud voice when it saw him awake.
"Luo Feng, you're finally awake."
...
Meanwhile, Wang Yi leisurely walked among the rocks, hundreds of meters above the Meteorite spacecraft. "Luo Feng should have entered the Hu Yan Bo spaceship by now and met Babata," Wang Yi thought as he tried to contact Luo Feng through his auxiliary optical brain but received no response.
"Luo Feng has now become the heir of Hu Yan Bo . Next, it will be the golden-horned beast's turn…" Wang Yi continued to wander the area, his thoughts elsewhere.
While fierce battles erupted over the discovery of Wooden crystel, Wang Yi showed no interest in the chaos. He meandered aimlessly, lost in thoughts of his unborn child. Once the crisis of the golden-horned behemoth was resolved and the child born, he planned to leave Earth and venture into the universe again. Perhaps Hong, Thunder God, and Luo Feng would join him, but their paths would inevitably diverge. Wang Yi didn't mind helping them in the meantime.
"The Virtual Universe Company's Peak Genius Battle will be held in March 2066—over eight years away. By then, I need to become as strong as possible and secure a good ranking, ideally within the top 1,000..." Wang Yi mused, a quiet determination growing within him.
"But for now, let's focus on reaching the Stellar level by the end of this year."
...
Luo Feng flew out of Kirishima, his mind still in a haze.
"Luo Feng, now that you are the heir of Master Hu Yan Bo , surpassing Hong and Thunder God is only a matter of time. And as for Wang Yi—help me capture him, and I'll teach him a lesson!" Babata's arrogant voice echoed in Luo Feng's mind.
Luo Feng smiled wryly. Babata's obsession with Wang Yi bordered on the absurd; every time the AI mentioned him, it was with barely concealed rage. But Wang Yi was Luo Feng's friend—how could he betray him? Luo Feng could only try to calm Babata down.
"By the way, Babata," Luo Feng asked, curiosity piqued, "you said Wang Yi has a brain width of 24, which is even higher than mine. Why didn't you consider him as an heir to Master Hu Yan Bo ?"
Babata paused, then snapped angrily, "Don't ask so many questions! Just help me capture him so I can give him the punishment he deserves! No one has ever mocked me like that, and I won't rest until he regrets it!"
Amid Babata's muttering, Luo Feng flew out of Kirishima Lake and spotted a black triangular fighter jet hovering in the sky nearby.
The hatch opened, and Wang Yi stood there, smiling.
"There he is!" Babata fumed.
"Luo Feng, you're back. How did it go?" Wang Yi asked, his gaze sweeping over Luo Feng, making him feel as if his every secret had been laid bare.
"Not bad," Luo Feng replied, keeping the details vague. After all, the secrets of Master Hu Yan Bo were not meant to be shared.
Then, an idea occurred to Luo Feng. "Babata, since Wang Yi's spiritual master talent is so extraordinary, wouldn't he be a good fit for master Hu Yan Bo Legacy? Why don't we invite him to join?"
Babata, who had been ranting a moment before, fell silent.
Luo Feng grew nervous, wondering if Babata would refuse, but then Babata cleared its throat. "You make a valid point. But joining Master Hu Yan Bo Sect isn't that simple. He would need to undergo a proper assessment…"
Luo Feng smiled inwardly, knowing that Babata had already warmed to the idea. Despite its pride, Babata wasn't blind to Wang Yi's potential.
"Fine, I agree," Babata finally conceded. "But the core inheritances won't be handed over to him right away. We'll have to wait."
"No problem," Luo Feng said, pleased.
Soon, the black fighter jet took off, headed toward Hongning Base City in western Asia. Inside the cabin, Wang Yi and Luo Feng sat across from each other, sipping tea.
"Wang Yi," Luo Feng said suddenly.
"What's up?" Wang Yi replied.
Luo Feng looked at him intently. He trusted Wang Yi deeply, and since Babata had given him the go-ahead, there was no reason to hold back.
"I have something important to tell you..." Luo Feng began, speaking solemnly. "In Kirishima, underground..."
Wang Yi listened attentively, his expression gradually shifting to one of surprise as Luo Feng revealed the secret of Hu Yan Bo legacy.
In the ring space, Babata observed Wang Yi's reaction with satisfaction. "See? Now you regret not accepting my offer earlier, don't you?"
Wang Yi played along, pretending to be taken aback. He had, of course, already anticipated what Luo Feng would say.
As Luo Feng finished his tale, he asked, "Wang Yi, would you like to join Yun Mo Planet Sect ?"
Wang Yi hesitated, feigning reluctance. "Well, I've always valued my freedom. What kind of rules or conditions come with joining your sect? Will I be restricted?"
Luo Feng reassured him quickly. "It's not like that at all. I'm the last remaining member of the sect, and the original headquarters was destroyed by enemies tens of thousands of years ago. So, as long as you don't go around announcing that you're from Yun Mo Planet Sect., you're free to do as you please."
"Really?" Wang Yi's face lit up with a grin. "Well then, count me in! This sounds perfect—no restrictions, no obligations. Of course, I'll join!"
Babata: "..."
Furious but defeated, Babata fumed in silence.
