Dry Witch City: The Inner City
Although referred to as an inner city, it is surrounded by towering walls and spans a vast area. At the core lies a series of magnificent, endless palaces.
At the city gates, a beautiful woman dressed in black robes stands waiting. The vitality of the universe radiates from her presence, indicating her status as a powerful World Master.
"Wang Yi, this is Lady Hewei, the administrator of the Dry Witch Secret Realm," Rabic introduced, as they descended and respectfully greeted the black-robed woman. He then turned to Wang Yi, "I can only escort you this far. From here on, Lady Hewei will manage your affairs."
Wang Yi expressed his gratitude to Rabic, who nodded with a smile before quickly departing.
The emerald-eyed, black-robed woman then led Wang Yi into the city. "This is your first time here, so you're allowed to enter most places within the core of Dry Witch City. However, some areas are reserved for core members, such as those belonging to the universe, domain, and world masters. You will need permission to enter those," she explained with a warm smile and a soft, pleasant voice.
"There are a thousand villas here, where Planetary-level geniuses reside. You are assigned to Villa 1000," she continued. Though called a "villa," it was as large as a gymnasium, fully equipped with facilities and hundreds of servants.
"You'll find a training ground where you can hone your skills, a Secret Law Pavilion where you can select laws to study—though some come with conditions," she said. "There is also a lecture hall, where master instructors offer lessons on various subjects, and sometimes even immortal gods give lectures. You can find the schedule on your student account, along with check-in information and other important details."
"There is also an arena where you can challenge other students. Private fights are strictly prohibited in Dry Witch City."
The residential area was picturesque, and the buildings were elegant and majestic, creating a heavenly atmosphere. The maids and servants were not only respectful but also strikingly beautiful. Wang Yi felt quite satisfied with his surroundings.
Dry Witch Space appeared to be modeled after the real Dry Witch Secret Realm, and this familiarity would help Wang Yi quickly adapt once he entered the actual secret realm.
"One more thing, Wang Yi," the black-robed woman said seriously before departing. "The members of the Dry Witch Secret Realm are not permanent. Every year, there is a qualification battle. The higher your rank, the more resources and training opportunities you will receive. Exceptional performance could even grant you the chance to study under an immortal god."
"The bottom 100 ranked students must compete with the top 100 from the second area to retain their spots in the Secret Realm."
"You are exempt from participating in the qualification battle in your first year, but starting from the second year, if you fall within the bottom 100, you will face the challenge of fighting 199 others. Failing to rank above 100 means being expelled from the Secret Realm of Dry Witch."
With these parting words, the administrator left. Wang Yi stood on the balcony of his grand villa, gazing at the distant landscape.
He murmured to himself, "The Dry Witch Secret Realm... it looks incredible."
A bright sun slowly climbed the sky, its light casting a warm glow. The entire Dry Witch Secret Realm resembled the ancient Chinese legend of a "The Way of the Heaven is called the Round, The Way of the Earth is called the Square." Suspended in the starry sky, the entire celestial expanse, including the sun, revolved around it. While there were days and nights here, there were no seasons.
The real Dry Witch Secret Realm was rumored to be even more awe-inspiring.
Wang Yi glanced around and saw luxurious villas like his own, home to other core genius members who had joined the Secret Realm. Farther inside, the residences of Universe, Domain, and World master geniuses could be seen.
At the very core stood the homes of the immortal gods, their towering palaces barely visible through the clouds and mist in the distance.
In the Villa, where Wang Yi lived, news of his arrival quickly spread to the other geniuses. The geniuses of the Dry Witch Secret Realm were highly valued and generally kept away from danger. As a result, their mortality rate was low, and many were expected to become world masters, with some even achieving immortality.
These geniuses were sharp and quick to form networks of relationships, often making friends, forging alliances, or joining factions. Some were trained within the Ganwu Universe, others recruited from various star regions like Wang Yi, and still others came from princely families and influential forces.
The environment was complex, with fierce competition, intrigue, and power plays—but this was of little concern to Wang Yi.
Soon, a visitor came to see him.
Wang Yi was a bit surprised when his butler informed him of the arrival. "So soon?" Wang Yi blinked, quickly realizing the visitor's intentions. Though he wasn't interested in getting involved in the politics of the Ganwu Universe, he had no issue meeting them.
"Bring them to the living room," Wang Yi instructed.
In the spacious living room of the villa, seven young men and women sat waiting. They mostly resembled humans but bore some features different from those of people on Earth.
After exchanging same pleasantries, one of the visitors—a burly young man in a golden robe with a lion-like head, nearly four meters tall—spoke loudly. "Wang Yi, you're so young, yet you passed the external assessment and entered the Dry Witch Secret Realm directly. That's impressive."
"Haha, you're being too kind. I was just lucky and fortunate to have caught the attention of those above. I'm still not as experienced as those who have been in the Secret Realm for years," Wang Yi replied humbly.
"Wang Yi, you're too modest."
"But humility is a good trait."
"The universe is vast, and it's rare for us to meet here. How about we all head to the 'Rainbow Hotel' and celebrate Wang Yi's arrival?" suggested an enchanting fox-like woman in a pink dress, her smile sweet and inviting.
"Yes, it's been a while since we all got together. Let's take this opportunity to enjoy ourselves and show Wang Yi some friendly hospitality," another student chimed in.
The students in the Dry Witch Secret Realm were enthusiastic and welcoming, which made Wang Yi feel a bit bashful.
These students were naturally adept at socializing. Since Wang Yi had just arrived and wouldn't be involved in the qualification battles for a year, there were no conflicts with him. Making friends with a genius for the price of a meal was a small effort for these students.
Surrounded by conversation and laughter, the group escorted Wang Yi toward the city's bustling entertainment venues.
