Hayashi and Chiyou had now come back to reunite with the team as the silver-haired boy had a red mark on his face that glowed faintly.

"Damn, you got slapped huh?" Remarked Nishiwaka.

"Shut up," Hayashi said now taking out his [Balistae] Slingshot. "There's a dungeon break, just like all those mangas and novels we read."

"On top of that, there's two natural disasters, volcanoes, and asteroids falling from the sky," Chiyo said.

"This is gonna be a pain!!" Yoshida said taking out the shield again.

"Kid, give me your shield," Hayashi told the shield-bearing boy.

"Alright?" He said handing him the shield almost hesitantly with a confused look.

[Repair]! [Create Arms]! [Bloodlust]! [Primordial Principles]!

The shield started to transform the shield widened and expanded glowing with energy until it changed shape to a turtle shell

"Here, take it back" the silver-haired boy tossed back the shield that had been modified and improved.

"What did you do?" Yoshida asked as he put the shield back on. "It looks like a turtle shell"

"I just improved your shield, also watch out there's a monster-"

Before Hayashi could even finish his sentence Yoshida had charged at the humanoid monster, bashing his shield into the head of the monster and sending it flying into a wall.

"Never mind-"

He started to look at the humanoid monster gaining information on it. It was a goblin a weak monster on its own, however, if you found one, there was normally at least a small team after.

"Everyone regroup!" Carmen said now grabbing her knife.

"Don't give orders to my team, we got this!" Hayashi walked up to the goblin that Yoshida slammed into the wall and killed it before walking back and using [Harvest Moon] to drain resources from its body.

Hayashi noticed now that he absorbed the soul of the goblin with the mark on his hand meaning he could use its soul for power as more goblins started to advance to their area. Suddenly a loud crash could be heard.

"BANG! BOOF!" The sound of the first few asteroids crashing down on the earth had sounded.

"Shit!" Hayashi yelled, noticing a few zombies make their way outside some of the houses they were near.

"Kill them all! Watch each other's back! I'll clean up after you guys!" Hayashi yelled to his teammates as he rushed ahead.

The silver-haired boy raised his [Ballistae] weapon and stabbed through multiple Zombies.

Hayashi imbued his weapon with spiritual power and the ability to target weak points as he kept striking in a surprisingly long chain of one-shot kills finishing off the hoard of zombies before using [Harvest Moon] again to acquire more resources from the zombies.

"Not many drops, however, it seems that there are event drops, like these space stones…The cores are normal…and whatever weapon some mobs use seem also to drop as well."

He ran back to his team which was dealing with multiple goblins and zombies, sure zombies came from further than others as others had started growing crystals from their bodies. Hayashi rushed to aid as multiple spirit animals were attacking zombies, however, they had trouble attacking enhanced and mutated zombies, he would pierce right through the skull of the crystallized zombie before the system went off.

"Chiyou! Carmen! Genji! Ichika!"

"Shut up!" Carmen said very irritated before using her ability to release more spirits from her bracelet and slashing zombies.

Genji and Ichika worked together to slash and break the necks and other bones of zombies and goblins before a medium-sized asteroid crashed down a few feet from them, now mutating the goblins with crystal energy.

"Damn! Ichika! Pass me your swords!"

"No! Later! Where's the car!"

"The car is destroyed!"

"You're! Joking!" Ichika said as she broke the neck of a goblin with her hook swords, grunting

[Harvest Moon]

The corpses of monsters would disappear and turn into dust as Hayashi started to absorb resources.

"The car got destroyed!? HU!" Genji asked as he launched a zombie into the air with his blades before sending it back down and crushing its skull before it got turned into dust.

"We should probably go to a building! I'll upgrade everyone's gear!"

Hayashi ran into a building that he knew was safe from zombies and started eating the rations and food he had collected over time many people followed him as now he started to take out other resources.

"You're not the only one with upgrades!" Nishiwaka said as Hayashi took out a mobile furnace.

When'd you get one of those? Asked Ichika

"I didn't, it's one of my skills, [Soul Furnace]. No, it doesn't use my soul it just means I can summon a furnace anywhere and anytime." Nishiwaka explained as he took Genji and Ichika's swords and started using [Smithing] to improve their gear.

Ichika came up to Hayashi before snatching two large, shining cores and running off with them to a separate room.

"H-Hey! Wait!-" Hayashi tried to stop Ichika who tosses a core to Genji before the cores started to react, the red core in Ichika's hand started to burn her hands, and Genji got the opposite effect, his hands were bound by the core, however, they both chose to hold them close as the cores covered their bodies in elements, both of them were yelling and screaming in pain as Hayashi rushed to their aid before the elements broke apart and their bodies dropped on the ground.

W-wait- what just happened!? Carmen came in looking at the twins who had some of their clothes burnt and ripped apart but were slowly healing from the burn wounds and frostbite

Hayashi looked at the two "They attempted to awaken using a different method, I think you can say they failed successfully?"

He looked at the two scanning them after their near-death experience and seeing an aura glow from them, Genji felt cold and Ichika felt hot but overall they were fine.

[Create Spirit]

The gray-haired boy created a spirit out of the spirit husks and goblin souls he acquired and left clothes for them when they woke up.

"Where are you going?" Carmen asked

"I need more-" Hayashi looked at her and thought to himself

{It's best I keep my cards close to my chest...Only my team and the [Shadow Hunter] know how my powers work.}

"More of what?"

"Materials. It's best just in case." Hayashi said as he jumped out the window.

"Materials?" Carmen said as she watched him jump out the window.

He looked around and noticed both zombies and goblins near the house and picking up their souls and spirits and storing them in the mark on his hand.

"I noticed something actually...I haven't used [Final Judgement] in a while" he said talking to himself as he summoned the hammer-slingshot weapon.

[Primordial Principles][BLOODLUST][Spirit Aura]

Lightning started to come from Hayashi as he attacked the weak points marked by [Mark of the Hunter].

The system went off about how his stats were growing from wielding a heavier weapon since his body wasn't used to it.

He sighed heavily as he concentrated all the lightning into his hammer and slammed it down screaming with a look of fury on his face before a crater formed and lightning strikes surrounded him.

He smiled and threw the hammer in the air and caught it again.

"Looks like I finally did it." He said as he looked at how far he came.

"Damn, I went too far!" He started to rush back using [Primordial Principles] and [Harvest Moon] absorbing resources from all the zombies he killed, going from house to house and jumping from fence to fence until he got back to the base.

"I'm back!" Hayashi rushed into the room where Ichika and Genji were now looking at him and waved

"Wait- you guys woke up?"

"Yeah, also check it!" Genji smiled as he put up one of his hands forming a small ice needle

"Woah nice!" Hayashi said smiling. "I got you guys something too!" He takes out an item filled with golden brown dust.

"An...incense burner?"

"Mhm, I got it by coincidence when fighting zombies around the place, it also has [Bone Powder], I don't think this works for Awakeners, but rather normal people."

Genji took the incense burner into his room and sat down in front of it and started to meditate "I don't feel anything..."

"That's because it's not even burning" Ichika started to laugh.

"Damn you were impatient," Hayashi said

Nishiwaka, Chiyou, and Yoshida woke up coming to the main room.

"So?"

"This place is cleared, there are no monsters nearby but you should still be careful."

"What about civilians?" Carmen asked

"None near us, but there may be people in the houses," Hayashi said uncertainly

"Then why don't we hurry!?" Yoshida said grabbing his shield and ready to go

"And do what? Die?" Hayashi looked at him confused

"Your both right, however, we don't have a car right now Yoshida-san," Ichika said

"We could take the car to my sister," Carmen said raising her finger.

"Then lets-"

"Under ONE condition!"

"And that is?" Hayashi asked now summoning the roller slingshot he had gotten from base 5

"No more killing prisoners, it only makes you as bad or worse than them," Carmen said

"I don't really care if it makes me as bad as them." Hayashi put the slingshot away

"Haven't you thought of some of them being innocent?" she asked

Hayashi stopped and stared at her for a second before looking away.

"Fair point. Fine, I won't kill them...even if they try to kill me. But we better get our car fixed." he said with contempt in his voice.

"Deal!" Carmen said as she shook his hand.

-Meanwhile in another location-

A girl is reaching for her wrench when she just crushes the skull of a zombie who managed to get into her workshop and tripped over the many wires on the floor.

"Haaah...I told her to at least find a way to guard the entrance." A black-haired and red-eyed girl said as she picked up the dead zombie and tossed it out the window, getting a notification of an achievement.

"Zombie sword slayer-Use a zombie to kill a zombie." Reward: + 10 Max Mana +5 INT

"Well, that's unexpected." She said looking out the window of the building and seeing the zombie she threw and a zombie under it as she checked her status.
