Breaking through Fate

Hayashi and crew looked at the sister.

"Relax sis they're just unlikely allies I found," Carmen said as she emerged from the accumulation of everyone in our group.

"Carmen!" the other woman exclaimed, running over and hugging her.

"Who's she?" Hayashi asked

"My name is Emile," Carmen said

"As she said, I'm Emile, [Mechanic]"

"Hayashi, [Spirit Hunter]"

"Slingshot kid?"

"Slingshot kid!?" Hayashi looked disheartened. "Is that how people see me?" He looked back at his group who all looked away, whistling.

"I'd say so," Carmen said, chuckling.

"That's just cruel." Hayashi sighed and looked at them. "We fulfilled our end of the bargain. We need our car repaired."

"A Car?" Emile asked after inquisitively looking at Hayashi and Company.

"Yes, our car was destroyed during this event." Hayashi looked as if he'd cry

"Serves you right!" Emile looked at him laughing.

"Why!?" Hayashi asked

"You squeezed....one two, three, four, five, six, seven and the white tiger makes eight."

"The tiger is actually a cat, and his name is Ni-Liv, he can turn into a cat or a tiger at will."

"You still stuffed seven people into a car, numbskull."

"Okay fair. So can you still repair the car?"

"I'm not going to," Emile said spinning her wrench.

"Why?" Hayashi looked as if he was about to summon his slingshot from his inventory. "We made a deal."

"Don't!" Carmen said, grabbing Hayashi's wrist.

"Let me finish. I'll give you a truck instead."

Hayashi and company looked stunned

"A-A truck?" Fueki asked

"A truck," Emile said

"It seems more practical, but one problem, we don't have keys, or a truck to begin with." Nishiwaka pointed out.

"You sweat the small things too much. I know you're a part of the group with the slingshot kid here, but what's your name?"

"Nishiwaka, Warrior"

"I like this guy. He keeps it nice and simple." Emile said, retreating back into her hideout smiling.

Hayashi looks at Nishiwaka

"Wait a minute...why are you still a warrior? Aren't you going to class up?"

"I am, but I have a mission for a hidden class. I'd rather not class up yet."

"What could the mission possibly be?" Hayashi looked annoyed

"Create 100 weapons out of rare material or higher rarity."

"Let me help." Hayashi sighed, taking out crystals and obsidian from his inventory.

"Where'd you get this stuff dude? all of these are an epic rarity..." Nishiwaka picks up and puts down the obsidian and the crystals.

"That's around a fourth of the stuff I have in there." Hayashi shrugged.

"You have more!?" Nishiwaka asked, surprised.

"More than I need, but I'm saving it for something," Hayashi said, with a serious expression on his face. "Can you forge me a weapon for myself out of those?" He asked the taller boy

"Forge. No. I can MAKE you a weapon. Crystals can be forged into weapons but obsidian on the other hand is hard to work with. No...I see it now..." Nishiwaka starts to see it and uses his [Mobile Furnace] skill and throws the crystals and obsidian in.

"Here we go! Hayashi's New weapon!" He grabs his weapon and uses [Molten Reshaping] on his baseball bat and bludgeons to fuse them into one weapon and reshape it into a combination between a baseball bat and a sledgehammer and start slamming, shaping, and tempering the weapon's frame. The crystals started to glow and emit fierce sparks and the obsidian melted and turned into molten volcanic glass before taking out the mold and letting it temper within the wind.

Hayashi whistled watching him get to work "Looks like someone got inspired."

"Got any wind-based attacks? I could use it."

"Yeah, I got one."

"Use it, and dial the power down, you little psychopath-"

"I don't even get a counterargument, Ha!" He dialed down the power of his magic arrow enhanced with the wind attribute and shot it at the cooled crystal-obsidian slingshot frame.

"Again." Nishiwaka ordered Hayashi

[Magic Arrow][7 Elements Pact]

Hayashi used the two skills to dial down the power and pelted the attack at the weapon frame, cooling it and helping it temper.

"Again," Nishiwaka ordered.

"Screw this!" Hayashi said and started pelting the weapon with the low-powered wind magic attacks using the combination of those two skills

Chiyou walked in. "Is everything okay here? I heard someone yell."

"S-Sorry..." Hayashi stopped pelting the frame and looked at it, it had a single dent where the handle met the actual weapon and Hayashi took it from the mold and gripped it.

"Wait don't!" Nishiwaka tried to stop him but wasn't fast enough, then looked at Hayashi grip the weapon and stopped in his tracks.

"Wait, Isn't that hot? Doesn't your hand feel like it should be burning?" Nishiwaka looked at Hayashi confused.

"It's cooled enough to the point I can hold it." Hayashi shrugged, looking at the sharp, curved, serrated, snake-like blade. "But this is simply just the tang. I'll need resources to make a hilt, and I don't have those on hand."

Chiyo just looked confused. "I don't know if I'm supposed to stop you and encourage this, but shouldn't we be trying to find scrap metal to make or find a better car?"

Hayashi looked even more confused at that statement "I get that the world is becoming a game but I don't think that's how it works?"

"Some crappy survival game" Chiyo commented.

"I second that," Nishiwaka said as he laughed.

"So what are we going to do?" Hayashi asked with an exaggerated sigh, putting the blade down.

-Meanwhile-

Fuekei and Carmen were walking around the camp and found two tree stumps to sit on.

"This is your base I presume?" Fuekei politely asked.

"You can say that..." Carmen said, looking in the distance with almost glazed-over eyes.

"What are you..." Fuekei looked in the direction of where the [Druid] was staring, only to find two men bound by trees and painting on their faces.

"Are they...?" Fuekei asked before getting cut off.

"Prisoners. Yes, you attack my sister or me in our domain and we'll keep you prisoner."

Fueki looked at her in slight fear.
