You Shouldn't Trust Her Easily

Xu Xiang left the grain store and bought everything on the market street. After settling the payment at the last store, she went to the alley outside the market street to pick up the goods. After making sure that no one was around, she quickly put everything into her own space.

She waited patiently until the last store delivered the fabric. After the delivery person left, she put the boxes of cloth into her space, and then walked to the gate of the city. When she arrived, she saw the middle-aged officer and the other two officers had just arrived.

She looked at them with a smile and said, "Sir, I want to buy an animal and cart. Can you wait a minute?"

The middle-aged officer looked up at the sky and said, "We will wait for fifteen minutes before leaving. You can go to the animal market to buy it."

"Thank you." She thanked him with a smile on her face.

After leaving them, she hurried to the animal market, where she bought two mules and a cart for fifty five taels of silver. On the way back to the city gate, she also bought a lot of pastries and snacks. She put everything in her space, took out a little bit of other items and drove back to the city gate.

When she arrived, the officers saw two mules pulling a sturdy and big cart full of bags and boxes. She jumped off from the driver seat and took three small paper bags that she prepared before from the cart.

Walking in front of the three officers, she handed over the paper bags to them while saying, "I bought these steamed buns to thank the three officers. Please accept these with ease."

Smelling the aroma of steamed buns, the three smiled and took the paper bags. When the middle-aged officer looked at her again, he felt that she looked more and more pleasing to his eyes.

"Let's leave before they close the city gate."

Having said that, they returned to the others who had camped outside the city gate. Since the officers were escorting criminals, they could not stay in the city or walk on official roads, so their only option is to camp in the wild. Sitting on Xu Xiang's mule cart, they soon reached the camp.

Xu Xiang smiled at the three of them and said, "Thank you for today."

After receiving the steamed buns, their attitude towards her also changed. When she drives the mule cart to find the Xiao family, the three officers went to eat while smiling from ear to ear. Therefore, she drove for a while only to find that they had made a bonfire far away from the others. Seeing her coming over with a mule cart and a bunch of supplies, Xiao Shao squinted his eyes. The moment she stopped the mule cart, she felt his gaze again. She ignored him, jumped out of the driver's seat and went to find Xiao Han.

Xiao Han raised his head and saw her approaching them. With a smile on his face, he welcomed her. "Welcome back, Miss Xu."

"Thank you. Can you help me for a while?" She asked Xiao Han with an apologetic smile.

Standing up from the ground, Xiao Han dusted off the dust from his clothes and said, "No problem. Let's go."

"Thank you, Second Young Master Xiao." She thanked him and led the way.

"Miss Xu, you can just call me Er Lang." He said as they walked towards her mule cart.

"Then you can call me elder sister."

"Okay, Elder Sister Xu." Xiao Han nodded as the look inside his eyes softened a little bit.

The two walked towards Xu Xiang's mule cart while chatting. When Xiao Han saw the mules and supplies, he stared at her with wide eyes.

"Did you buy these in the city?" He asked in surprise.

Xu Xiang nodded at Xiao Han and said, "Yes."

"So, what do you want me to do for you?" He asked her with a hint of interest in his tone.

Glancing at Xiao Shao who was sitting on the sleigh and staring at them, she lowered her head and said, "I want to use a mule to pull the sleigh. But…"

Xiao Han followed her gaze and saw his eldest brother staring at them with his cold eyes. He looked back at her and said, "I see. Elder Sister Xu, I'm sorry if my elder brother makes you feel uncomfortable. He usually doesn't stare at people at all."

She smiled at him, shook her head and said, "It's fine. I just need to stay away from him."

Hearing this, Xiao Han chuckled lightly. With the help of Xiao Han, the mule was finally tied to the sleigh. Looking at it, Xiao Han couldn't help feeling that Xu Xiang was really too kind to them. He looked away from the mule and looked at his elder brother.

You shouldn't trust her easily."
