The elders continued flattering Kyoko and her father for a bit until the head of the family suddenly arrived.
When the head arrived, he just gave a simple nod to Kyoko and her father before sitting down at the table. Sitting in the place that the great elder had once sat in, he said, "Let's get this meeting started."
Everyone suddenly became serious and nodded in agreement.
The first thing that the head did was pull out some pieces of paper that he passed down the table.
Well, he didn't really pull it out, but rather was handed them by the assistant that came into the room with him.
The table passed these pieces of paper down to Kyoko, her father, and me, but we weren't the only ones that received them. There were some other young people and people the same age as Kyoko's father who also received these papers.
